@op, hurting and nursing grudges against parents can be mentally and psychological draining. You know,
forgiveness is a powerful thing, because not only that it frees the other person but it also heals you.

You need to forgive them, you don't have to like them, or love them, but forgive them, because technically, it is the only way you can heal and move on with your life.

I never had it easy with both of my parents too, but I learned forgiveness. And nothing they do or say now gets to me any more.. It's hard, I know, but you have got to try and let all of it go, and forgive. Las Las You'll be fine.

FYI, Culture is culture, and it has to be celebrated, whether we are in the 21st century or not.

I was accosted by this same type of "marquerade boys" around oyingbo area just last weekend and i had to plead profusely with them in yoruba, that i dont have money to spare, they insisted, i didnt bulge.. I wasn't flogged but I was drenched by the rain, couple with the time I wasted pleading. That do not give me the alacrity to come online and berate their culture. Who in their right senses does that?! if I knew something like that was going to occur, I would have avoided that route and alternatively take another. You don't come online and say trash about people's culture, it tells alot on the type of education you acquired. Jeez. Get sense abeg.

Not all tomboys are queer, I have met quite an handful of tomboys who aren't queer and were actually appalled at the concept of queerness. Strange I know, but they exist.

Funny enough that's when I realized that some tomboys are just toms because they grew up with only boys around, and unconsciously most boyish features of their brothers rubbed off on them. While Others maybe they felt it was cheaper being boyish than feminine, others because they are just more comfortable in boyish clothes. They love everything boyish including the d**ck.

It's two sided for me.. I never really believed in destiny until a recent occurance I witnessed, and a whole alot had changed ever since then..

Like believing in an actual God now.. You know?

I also believe there is no black board in the sky on which God has inscribe anyone's destiny or purpose/ mission in life.. And, your destiny is what you say it is, whatever purpose anyone fulfills, or will fulfill is what they had given themselves, but have it mind that tons of persons put in hardwork and still run out of luck, and others barely get the opportunities even though they gave in their best. While some effortlessly get it even without so much work per se.. It's complicated, like I said. In the igbo cosmology "there something called Chi " and it's determines how life treats a person irrespective. These things are very real too and plays a vital role in one's destiny.

But then again your life would be what you created it as, and no one would stand in judgement of it now or ever. It's all depends on you and your chi.
