What took him so long? He should have torn his party card when he wrote his diatribe in October 2013. He kept quiet as usual, hoping for further opportunity to undermine his leader. We knew all along that OBJ was not a team player. Good riddance to stinking rubbish. |
More like it... |
Buhari is tainted by bloodshed wherever he goes. I wonder whether his supporters for the ensuing bloodshed that will be the lot of nigerians. |
At least, there will be no more need for the ota farmer to visit his former house, Aso Rock anymore. Jonathan has been too patient the most senile septuagenarian in Nigeria. Former president thabo mbeki does not Jacob zuma everyday in South africa. George W. Bush does not interfere everyday with Obama. Yet this rat assed goat thinks we must be punished with his irrelevant nonsense. He claims to be a statesman. |
OBJ is lucky that Jonathan is the president. Any other Nigerian would have dealt with thus recalcitrant killjoy. Obasanjo is just out of touch and senile. He has constituted himself as the conscience of Nigeria. He is deranged and power monger. |
Fabricated tosh. More like speculative future worth! |
Good riddance to bad rubbish! |
On paper, JONATHAN is the best at the moment! However, politics is not about being the best. It is about heart and minds. You must try and secure a win. Winner takes all is the game. |
obowunmi:Vice versa |
Truckpusher:Sue an unemployed woman living in your house? For what purpose? In the US, of course you can sue for any situation. But it cost money, time and effort. To sue that she wasted your time is obviously pointless, except to lose more money and bring this fact and knowledge to a wider audience which makes it worse. |
njokusboy:It is not so simple. Woman having another man child in matrimony is very evil. Pray it does not happen to you. It is a life changing experience. Women do it more in Nigeria. However, Nigerian women in the us are more emboldened to use this information as a weapon to 'finish' the man. |
Ademoye did wrong! The law is very clear on Murder! However, Nigerian women in the US are exploitative and manipulative. A guy I know that lives in New Jersey died a few months ago in Nigeria. He married this woman some while ago. Unbeknown to him his kids were fathered by another man based in London. This London based man travels to the U.S. to stay with this woman apparently. After some domestic argument, the woman blurted out that their kids were not her husbands. The husband did a Dna on the three kids and discovered that they were not his. He traveled to Nigeria last November to go to confront the in-laws with the facts. The story of his death is still confused. We heard that he had heart attack, etc. But it is extra-ordinary and suspicious. Why do Nigeria women play this evil 'game'. The most cruel thing a woman is to 'dehumanise' a man. |
Rhetoric |
tola9ja:What will happen when Buhari loses? Because, the votes of nairalanders is infinitesimal. What will APC supporters do with themselves when it is confirmed that Sai Buhari has lost for the last time. Buhari fainted at CALABAR during his pit stop over there. As he was being carried to his motorcade, my thoughts turned to the unlamented UMAR yadua. Vote Buhari, get Osibanjo! |
If the card reader fails as my colleague, NYSC ELECTORAL OFFICER, tells me the battery/AC can malfunction at any time. Then what happens? How can soldiers, navy and Air Force personnel not be deployed? APC are getting ready, if JONATHAN wins, as do many international observers are saying. APC spokesmen and women talk like Agege motor park touts. Why and how these agbero Naija university passed them, I am still at a loss. Hearing Buhari say that he must win this time, makes me wonder, whether it is by force? Why didn't he contest for the governorship of katsina. I will repeat what OBJ said about ATIKU: Buhari has not put God in his plans. It is only God that gives power. |
Only #500 million? Disappointed that amaechi and okorocha war chest has been depleted. 5 weeks to go! |
Adelivinggreat:Ungrateful idiots? There I was thinking that you are a man. I now know for a fact that you are not better than olodo dregs found around Olori apapa most nights. No Nigerian must be described as ungrateful. Yes, that includes Boko haramites. No Nigerian must claim anywhere as exclusive, if it deserves the name. Fashola did no wrong. He removed people who do not fixed abode. That is practiced in New York, London and elsewhere. Do not wind up the eboes, who always know how to look after themselves. |
These people are no better than Boko haram. Sad, blinkered and loonies. The good thing is that usefully engaged eboes are not aligned with these nincompoops. |
Dubious OP and photos. The former picture was not correct, when we visited that part of the world during the 2011 elections. The OP must try harder. |
Orunto:A lady asked him this question last night. She asked why Buhari should be contesting after being the head of state in the past. If OBJ loved Nigeria, is it not time for others to rule Nigeria? OBJ was there in 1970's and came back again. Why Buhari again? OBJ claimed that it is a free country. Any body can put himself or herself forward. OBJ became visibly angry that the lady asked the question in the first place. |
I can confirm that I was at the event in London last night. Firstly, OBJ denied that he endorsed Buhari. He confirmed that what he said in Nairobi, that Nigerian voters should vote based on people's track record. That he has not told anyone who he is supporting or going to vote for. That all those newspaper gossip about what he may or may not have said, is just speculation. Richard of RAS alluded to asked OBJ whether he agrees to a wikileaks report about a conversation between Robin Saunders, the Erstwhile U.S. ambassador during his administration and NUHU RIBADU that OBJ and his administration was very corrupt. He denied that nuhu RIBADU could have said such, because NUHU RIBADU investigated him and gave Him a clean testimonial. He stated that, if NUHU took part in that conversation, then NUHU would have been a fraudulent fellow. He went on to state that the local CAN president at chibok told him what happened at chibok that night. That the governor of Bornu would have known what is happening at the pertinent time. He also said that Jonathan administration should have known. After all he had been there as a president. That the time lag created the opportunity for Boko haram to take these girls. At no time did OBJ blame these Boko haram bigots. There was a question on Odi massacre, he studiously ignored the question. He blamed JONATHAN based on what and when he would have known what was happening. Essentially, he is saying that he was more effective president than JONATHAN. That he was learning on the job all the time. That he always goes to UN, ETC for help. By implication that Jonathan is not learning from others, etc. He is just navel gazing and divisive. I came away, believing that OBJ comments were designed for his book sales. It was conceited, vindictive and vainglorious |
Greatomotoy:Why did Buhari not win in 2011, 2007 or even 2003? The election needed to be postponed. INEC was not ready. Jega lied to Nigerians. He failed Nigerians. It is very clear the job is too big for him. Jega has now acquired a nice house in little venice here in London. He is very corrupt. Kebbi state should be ashamed of the dirty Jega. The guy stinks. He wanted to institute interim Government by conducting inconclusive polls, where more than two third of the electorate is disenfranchised. |
egift:which Nigerians is she talking about? The ones that have given Buhari a bloody nose severally? The political space is throwing up absurdities. |
Ms Adichie is entitled to her opinion. Nigerians has grown so complacent lately that every action is blamed on conspiracy. Jonathan conspiracy. I expected more from Ms Adichie. She spends more time in the US than anywhere near Africa. Ms Adichie must understand that the postponement was not merely security related. I believe also that INEC was not ready. Nigerian Lawyers would have had a field day if this election was not postponed. I have now travelled to London to confront OBJ at his book lunch today in one hour time at Royal Society of Medicine. We need the 'articulate' Ms Adichie to do her research before trying to bamboozle Naira Landers and the larger Nigerian society with her mis-observations. What her staff thinks about the election is irrelevant. Ms Adichie is fond of comparing Lagos with cities in the US. That is lazy and uninspiring. Realism suggest that we must accept that the denizens of kebbi, nassarawa and chibok cannot compare with new jersey in the US for a generation, if not more. The intelligentsia, of which Ms Adichie belongs wring their hand in disgust on the apparent taciturnity of Jonathan, when they know very well that he is not the problem. 90 percent of Nigerians talk and behave like Jonathan, despite his loftiness. Ms Adichie is flagging a red herring. Perhaps Ms. Adichie should return to the US, where she feels at home. |
Has been. To be seen and not heard. Very bitter and out of touch. |
Twisted editorial. Nice try. No rigging is allowed by INEC. |
shady26:Jega had perfected his rigging strategy with perfidious Amaechi to steal the mandates of Nigerians. Jonathan administration should send him on compulsory leave immediately. We cannot seriously allow this desperate 'chairman' of INEC to continue this shameful experiment. cheers |
Drowning clown. INEC just prolonged his 'candidacy'. Luckiest Fulani herdsman |
This is the so called electorate who was voting APC. Blind following the blind. At this rate, Buhari will be lucky to get someone to vote for him. |
That is why Jega must step down. We knew that he had been lying to Nigeria all along. Jonathan administration should send him on compulsory leave immediately. |
Interim government of your dreams. Buhari apologists |
Fashola cannot deceive us with his belated 'show'. So Inec connived with fashola to showcase their 'preparedness'? Jega has proven that he cannot supervise the 2015 election. I propose that he goes on compulsory leave with haste |
