Agibomma. I will advice that you delete your phone # since Champ now has it. MESSAGE FROM CHAMPS" @Agiboma,Thank you so much. I was able to buy the Cyclogest 400mg Pessaries today but couldn't get the Estradiol any where. I am expecting to OV tommorrow(CD14),my RE gave me HCG trigger this morning to make me OV. I was on Tamoxifen CD2-6 as a substitute for clomid since it was thinning out my linning. I didn't respond well to the med,it only gave me one dominant follicle(18mm) , Endometrial linning(8mm) and i hope it will be enough to get my BFP. I know i am suppose to start the progesterone suppositories on 2DPO,will one 400mg at bedtime be enough? I will only buy the Estradiol next cycle if this one is a burst. I will keep you informed. Btw,your e-mail is hidden in your profile. " |
Is Mr. Kolade really 80 years old. when will nigerians ever give young people a chance. The man at 80 should have refused the offer and so he can live his last years with a good name. I believe this assignment will make tarnish his public service record (i.e if it was any good to begin with). |
Cooking is fun, cleaning is ok and groccery shopping is a head ache for me, I have to make 3 lists one for Randals, African store and Mexican market (cheaper veggies and fruits). I could make it easier and just make one trip but I like sticking to my budget. ![]() |
Mogbomoya mo ba e yo ( rejoicing with u) Congratulations and i thank God for answered prayers and for remembering you and filling your life with joy. God wil do the same for us all that are still expecting . Please continue to give to the motherless homes . I wish you a happy and healthy nine months and a safe delivery. So happy for u! |
I have read your previous posts and I must say that if the poster was female and her husband acted like a barbarian there would be several calls for Her to leave her aurgumentative, hot wired husband. I don't know your wife's side of the story, but based on the picture you are painting sounds like something my husband's best friend went thru . His wife was worse than yours , no one was allowed to visit their residence, only her family, she commanded the house and demanded her husband submit to her rules like no snoring etc she finally left the marriage and after 2 yrs came back crying that she was a changed person. But the guy was so scared of loosing his happiness and his sanity that he plainly refused to let her back and just kept to himself. She has truly scared him for life he is buried into his work and taking care of everyone else but he won't even hear or think of remarriage. Your decision to take her back will be based on your ability to forgive and forget and to truly forget the past.it will also be based on her willingness to work on her anger and her way of thinking . Good luck.i truly feel your pain. Prov 14:1 . |
I am great full for my year end gift got 2 months salary and a laptop . I just thank God I have a job this year. this time in 2009 I was laid off. |
@lullabi I have heard that femara is similar clomid and dr's prescribe clomid or femara based on the dr's preference. I have also heard a lot God things about it. Hello everyone, I have been away for a while now. I need to catch up and see whats going on. This Ttc journey can be really exhausting. Mentally, emotionally and physically. God dey! |
I personally don't inflate the prices. On the other hand we operate a joint account. But when we were dating, if needed money from my husband I would ask for the amount I needed and he always gave me more than I asked for. @poster, is your wife working? Is she dishonest in other areas? If not then you should not even consider chasing her away. Also she knows you are tight fisted with YOUR money and the only way to get money from you is to lie. So what I am trying to say is that you made her the way she is. Human begins are adaptive in nature and she is adapting to your stinginess. I hope she finds a job or side business before you turn her to a barawo with your stinginess. By the way you sound very immature in your posts. |
Sad husband , I had a friend who went tru something similar to yours. Here are somethings he did that helped ( I am not saying it will work for you ) He praised his wife, showed her affection and allowed her to have her space, read books on marriage and intimacy together. Surprised her with text msgs letting her know she is on his mind, snt her flowers and just killed her with niceness. She began to trust him and the rest is history. He praised her cooking soo much , that she now hosts after church on Sunday lunches with other couples from church. He intentionally trusted her to make decisions/take o responsilities and let her know that he trust her whatever she decides and that was how they built trust. For example: she used to love naija movies Because she was homesick, he got her to start watching Hgtv and then told her to start thinking of paint colors and interior decorating ideas. Wow he was surprised how she expressed her self tru creativity and re-did their bedroom. Could she be home sick? Does she have family in the US? How stressful is her job? has she gained weight recently (maybe she does not feel attractive)? I feel for you, my friend was always thinking he made a mistake marrying her.but with a lot of work she is Starting to climb out of her shell. |
ftmom: Seems to me like she has a companion or may be hanging out with the wrong crowd. For her to ask the security guard for money, rent out a house (more income) . To me it appears that she is living above her means to "feel among or please friends or she has a young man out there she is keeping. How old are the children? Do you help her family out financially? |
Lol am laffing so heard, I passed gas , (excuse me) I guess karma has caught up on them, they use their positions to steal and get false fines from the masses instead of protecting them. I only wish it was robin hood that stole that money so it can be passed to the masses/Lagos motorists |
Hi Chioma God bless u for your efforts and for soliciting for help for your patients. I am sure your job is not an easy one. And I will really love to be of help. My dad has suffered from ckd and has to have dialysis treatment 3times a week. It is really a sad thing to see a loved one go through so much.he used to be so lively and the dialysis just makes him weaker and more fragile . I still thank God for keeping him and see us thru thus far. I am not sure how I can be of help. But I am definitely volunteeering myself for any fundraising/awareness campaigns. Do u know if there are any NGOs I can make a small contribution tru? Monetary and time contributions |
VENUSS:People are funny o. why would you gift someone else a toy/item that your own baby/child was scared of. I only keep items i get from our families or items we buy for ourselves. |
Hellooooooooo ![]() Just popping in to say hello and leave a few lines Blank it is good to hear that friend is doing well . Mogbomoya I hope u are doing great too. As for me I really thought August was the month I would get my positive preg test, since it seemed like I had all the symptoms of early preg. I am sure it will happen for us all soon in Jesusname So for those who are ttc for their first child, have u purchased any major baby items in hope and as a demonstration of faith in God? The answer for me is yes!,even My parents bought some baby clothes and presented it my hubby and I in faith that God will answer our prayers, my husb and I have also bought baby clothes and my sis actually gave me a gift when she found out she was preg. Since she also ttc for a long time. |
hi ibifemi, i am really happy fertilaid is available in Naija. my husband and i both started using it in March/April and in May we got pregnant, but it was an ectopic. i have started using it again in august (had to wait a few cycles because of the Ectopic) and it helped me balance my hormones and helped with my periods. I thank God for helping find to know about it. I have only heard good things about the multivitamin Fertilaid, however i have heard that it may take up to 3 months for it work, also seems like women with regular periods and regular ovulation cycles don't have much luck with it. So i guess it is more for women with irregular periods and cycles. (this is what i have heard, so please don't quote me) How long did you use Fertilaid before getting a BFP(positive preg test)? Did your husband use Fertilaid for Men too? Did you use Fertile CM? |
@Blank , how sad . maybe she took the anti maleria tablets because she thought she was having a fever. i have heard so many mothers/women say one of the symptom s of early pregnancy is a fever like chill. I agree with Alwaystrue, let the word of God do the consoling and whatever you tell her she needs to know it is not her fault, cause she may start to blame herself. I think you should got to visit with her and be there for her. Allow her to cry and just keep reminding her of God's faitfullness. i have gone thru something similar and the only remembering the faithfulness of God saw me through those hard days. It is well with her soul. 2Cor 12v9. and Eph 6v10 |
mogbomoya:Sorry I am not based in Lagos and I don't have any recommendations. Good Drs are hard to find even outside Nigeria. I had to do several office visits before I found a a good doctor here in the US. The problems I have with Doctors, here in the US, is that they will prescribe un-necessary procedures and blood work just so they can charge health insurance companies an arm and a leg. I found my current Obgyn via a coworker (who is not TTC), before I went to visit the Dr. i read reviews online, looked for articles on the Dr. and even used ratemyMD.com to check out what others were saying about him. my first visit i went with my husband and a lot of questions. just so we both get a good feel of the Dr. I wish you all the best and suggest you ask friends / family/ coworkers about their obgyns and just do an office visit to see who you gel with better. |
@Mogobomoya, sorry if my last post sounds harsh (not my intention at all) . i must say you were brave to share your story. d By they way do you have a primary Dr/obgyn , may be you should consult with them and let them know what happened. |
Unbelievable, are my eyes deceiving me. @ Mogobomoya, , for the sake of not wanting to sound too harsh. i will just say that , How could you have put yourself in such great danger? Most of the advise given on these forums should be taken with caution, I would have only agreed to meet up with the DR at St. Nicholas since that is where he claims to practice as a DR. And only after researching, and only after finding out from St. Nicholas that he is affiliated with them, searching for reviews of his practice e.t.c I thank God for you that you are okay. Please next time you decide to go on an adventure please take your husband or a trusted a friend with you or even better listen to your guts. By the way , Mogbomoya would you have told us about your encounter, if the Dr had not asked you to come back for another round of injection (N28k no be small money)? It seems to ME that was when you decided to label him as a deceptive. and not when he was taking you to a dingy hostel and administering injections in a non hospital setting. @Dr , if you are reading, what is your own side of story. |
Loooooooooool @ kodewriter, ![]() |
blank:I see your point, TTC can be stressful and depressing at times and it is always good to have a best friend who understands and give good advice. I am sure your friend is lucky to have you. |
blank:@blank , as a silent reader, are you also TTC? or do you know someone who is trying to TTC? Not sure why I would want to read other people's stories and not offer support. just wondering, |
@Arly , my assumption is that some of the people who write once and don't post again are *silent readers* who have been following the thread. I am not in anyway supporting/defending Dr. Haastrup or Arly, but i believe the Dr put his/her contact info on this board. So Arly, as the group moderator/creator, i suggest you take a stand. if you don't like what Dr is posting then create a house rule and ask people to contact the Dr. directly via email or phone, if they have a direct question for him/her. Now who ever does not like your rule, can either leave or stay. Shikaina. lets move on. How is every one else doing? @Mypearl sorry to hear about the miscarriage, have you tried seeing a nutritionist or someone who can advise on what food/drinks/herbs may help (or what foods to avoid). i pray you get relief soon. |
Hmm. I think dr haastrup and other members have the right to post and respond to questions. ( as long as they are not breaking any group rule, which as far as i am aware the group as no rules) I do not need a pity party and I do not believe that the dr is taking over the disussion thread in anywa. Just my two cents.(if u don't feel the same way, I can understand that) @odu if u want talk about something else please feel free to post and am sure everyone who has an opinion will respond to ur post (even if they r a doctor Or not) for some of the ladies that post questions and get a response from dr. Am sure they are glad , they enjoy the support, which is the reason they joined the group. . I wish everyone well and I pray we all get our miracles. Shalom! . |
Hello house! How una all dey? It has been a while since I stopped by. Just wanted to say we are back ttc .after the ectopic dr advised us to give about 2cycles before trying again . dr haastrup, thanks for taking time to answer questions on the board.God will bless u and grant u ur heart desires. Bukkieluv how are u these days u have been quite (same for gen. Bihari) I am sure all is well. God dey. |
Thanks all for your prayers. am resting and doing well . I should mention that I suggested fertile aid to bukkieluv. As I mentioned in a previous post, Fertile aid really helped me regulate my irregular periods and helped with my ovulation, I also realize that it may not work for everyone and as I was advised by my dr, it was fertile aid or Birth cntrl pills for 3months , I chose fertile aid because it is all natural. After saying that I pray that it works well for u bukkieluv and even more important , I pray your cylcles becomes regular. Bukkieluv i am just wondering , did ur GP ever recommend using birth control pills to regulate your cycle? Tem01 I think your mummy is definitely pressuring you. But I also know that you will need wisdom to deal with her in such a way that u don't disrespect her but also get your feelings accross. Be prepared for her to think u don't appreciate her concern and efforts.good luck and I hope u find strength and wisdom on how to deal with the situation. |
I have been out of the loop for a while now . I found out I was preg. But ended up miscarrying due to an ectopic. It was painful but God really helped me my husband was out of town and I had to be rushed to the hospital. I have to remind my sElf that God is still good and I praise him for mylife. Thank God my Mom was around. |
Congrats spearslzz I wish u happy and healthy 9 months and safe delivery in Jesus name Bukkieluv , How far? @everyone how are u all doing? Lets continue to keep the faith. |
@bukieluv the instruction says to take 3 tablets daily. I only took 2 daily for like the first week just make sure my body responded well, after a week i started the 3 times daily. I did not have any adverse effects so I am praying it works for you as well. . @Venuss am not currently in Naija. but ask around and see if any of the naija pharmacy has it. i will ask around as well. Welcome Shiloh, your concerns are valid but I want to say that I have heard/read of so many women that conceived even after fibroid operations, by God's grace you will also be one of them. so stay positive ![]() |
Congrats Sammiejo, I wish you a happy and healthy pregnancy. Bukkieluv : i used to have very irregular periods but mine was related to weight gain and stress from work. With prayers, change of diet and a suppliement called "fertilaid" my periods have become regular. http://www.fertilaid.com also search google for fertliaid . |
GreatC take heart, we just have to keep trusting God. I know it may seem hard, but just remember God's promises and shout hallelujah. My pastors wife once said that infertility is a season and it will come to an end and that every season has purpose may be this season is for you and your husband to build a bond and get ready for the little ones. My mom had fertility issues (tubal pregnancies, miscarrages etc) before she had me but when God answered her she had a set of twins and 3 more children. It just gives me soo much hope that God is still the same today and forever, He does not change. |
