Fruitful Vines .. just stoping by to say Hellllloooooo.. MSTIA .. did your dr finally prescribe something for the low progestrone? |
Mrs..Chima:I have been very silent on NL these days. but when I read MS. CHIMA's post a few days ago. i was like I have read many insentive comments on NL and I have several times had to remind myself that everyone has a right to their opinion. I am not sure what Ms.Chima's intention's were, and i can not say for certain that she has read all the pages on this this thread. but her comment about "some of us are made to have children" is totally offensive to any woman with fertility issues. who are you to classify women as such. so in other words you are one of the women who is able to have children. I thank God for beign God and that His word can only be final. because if man was to decide my case, they would have classified me as one who was not supposed to have children. I am blessed and thankfull to God for the opportunity to TTC and finally have a bundle of Joy to testify that all women are created by God to be fruitful. On the other hand i am african- yoruba- and I never shyed away from adopting. my parents were foster parents to several children while growing up in Nigeria even after God bless them with children and they did not TTC. I am saying adoption is not only for TTC. Mrs Chima you can convince Mr Chima to adopt or become a foster parent. but you say that some women are not meant to have children makes my skin crawl and makes me think of how highly you consider yourself over those with fertility issues and instead think of how God has blessed you with the opporutnity to be a mother. I rarely vex but this one vex me o. |
@ Champs and Marygold congratulations on your BFP . SO HAPPY FOR you both. God bless your babies. |
Thank God for your testimony and the peace that God has given you concerning this pregnancy. God bless you and baby. @all God is good and His mercies endures forever (please meditate on this words) and envision His goodness reaching you. I have been laying low. the enemy is liar. was invovled in a car accident last week. Baby and I are fine. |
@mogbomoya- congratulation on your baby boy as well. God bless him and i hope you are adjusting into your new role well. @agiboma- what a sad story. on friday i was complaining that i had to pee in a cup for every doctor visit. but I forgot it was for my own good. how are you and your little one doing. |
@infogenuis -congratulation to your family and thank God for safe delivery. God bless you baby boy. |
I agree that the truth can be bitter and she usually as som good advice until she starts insulting and downgrading . I think we all have the choice to not read her posts. |

Hebrew woman congratulations and praise God for your testimony. I am so happy for you. You will surely hold your baby in 9 months. Praise God! |
@Pslm23 you have gone thru alot and so i won't blame for being depressed. But please try to encourage yourself with God's word, we don't need depression to make your TTC journery more complex. I am happy you are going naija to spend time with family. i hope your trip to naija will be all you expect (uplifting, encouraging etc) and more. Are the side effects of the drugs that your DH took reversible? What is his Dr saying? please don't get upset at DH in anyway just remain supportive and you both will overcome this. The journey is almost over. just imagine how sweet your testimony will be. when you get your BFP we will know that God only deserves the praise. I believe the procedure that Topal and blendy are referring to is called TESA ... one of the ladies on the TTC board mentioned that the TESA procedure worked for her DH with no fluid count. It is well with you. |
@infogenius thanks for your reassuring words. i was so concerned that i went to see my obgyn she said baby is fine. @icherisu I know how you feel. I started a new position in the same company at 2months pregnant. but mine is a bit different because i had previously proven myself has a hardworker. just know that God that blessed you with the pregnancy at this time did not make a mistake and He has made the provision for your strenght to the do the new job at your new company and for the leave pollicy to favor. remember the same God blessed you with the Job and He blesses with out adding sorrow. thinking this way helped me alot. |
pslm23 no vex my sister. on the ttc forum the post usually gets hidden or deleted when prescription dosages are included. i am sure one of the moderators will soon unhide the post. pele dear. |
Sounds like you are just overwhelmed by your responsibilities . You can't run away from them you are grown and married , so start facing each challenge head on ask God for wisdom and get close to wife so she can support you in anyway ( for now she cant support you financially but she can prayerfully support you) Also take debriefs advice about getting on family planning . |
after only reading page1-2 here's what I think: @op don't marry the guy . If you were Indian and this was an arranged marriage then maybe like in the indian movies you could fall in love with him later. But my dear in nollywood you have got lto have faith, love and attraction and communication as a good foundation to build marriage on. As for the 2k for wash and set issue, I think if u can afford it fine, then don't make noise about it . However if it is your birthday and he does not get u a gift then maybe you can say he is stingy. If you decide to go ahead and marry him , then please both of you should discuss the financial expectations u hv from each other so there won't another post about stingy husband after you say i do. |
agiboma: Thank you very much the clinic is going great, i really enjoy my work their and im gonna miss it so much when i leave and return to Canada for my antenatal. But i know in my heart it is already well and what i went through last time will not be my portion, this time around. Camry how are you doing what's LO up to these days in your tummy.AMEN! LO and I are doing great thank you for asking. I hope you have able hands to leave the clinic to. I wouldn't want to see all your hard work get messed up. |
I am a first time mom (FTM) and I am now 23 weeks. I can feel baby kicking. but i am getting worried that all her kicks are below my belly button and above my bikini area. Is this normal? |
@fantababy.. na wah o. My husband pampers me and I thank God for him and when he can't be there he pays for someone to do the pampering for example paying for a caterer to cook or paying for a massage. may be your husband won't mind paying ![]() |
Agiboma congratulations !! Please take care of yourself and meditate and pray that this pregnancy will not be a stressful high risk pregnancy for you. How is the clinic? Mama triplets welcome o. I hope someone more knoweledgeable can take a look at your results and respond. Echala thank God for good news on your hsg results. Maybe Champs n Toronto can respond to your iui questions. Or better yet look/search tru their posts. Genb sure ur wifey is doing better. |
Udoka2... i don't know what to say, except that I pray with all my heart that God will put an end to your tears and make you smile and you won't loose your goodnews/blessing ever again. I also remember your DH at this time and I pray for wisdom for him to help you go thru this period, and God will console and encourage him. Zenoj ...praise God for good news concerning your hsg, it will usher in good news of a bfp for you in Jesus name. Kayneee welcome to the board , pineapple are delicious and it is good to hear that it aids fertility too. Just goes to say that God was the first and mightiest pharmacist, creator of pineapple. By the grace of God your wait for a bfp will not reach my own. amen! Ipio ..God dey ! And his plan and purpose for you this cycle will be manifested. Joyfulmom welcome to boards , kudos to you for reading thru the thread, I hope you were encouraged by the testimonies and also hope you learned from other posters experiences. God will make you smile . Jummy4real it is a good thing you made a move from silent reader to poster am happy for you cause ebony and swift2have were able to be good reasources. As for your husband just pray for him and don't fight him or accuse him of not worrying .Nikky, Udoka ,adetunrayo and yogun, How are the little seeds of greatness doing? As for me.. I bless the name of God Yahweh . |
swit2have: @ Jummy4real,Our doctors sha and their funny ways of converting medical terms into layman's language... which one be sandwich of the uterus. It made me laugh (sorry i don't mean to be insensitive) but i am happy it worked. do you know what the medical term of the procedure is? can you ask your doctor for the medical name? so may be Jummy can ask her doctor about the procedure you had. i am happy your result was normal afterwards. |
Debrief congrats on the baby. you and your husband are angels. your husband was definately a god sent to you and your family. may he never be put to shame. |
@Udoka how body? here is a word for you Jer. 29v11. @Jummy4real, welcome officially to the thread (since you were a silent reader before ). Thank God for your baby girl and the good reports from the Doctors. as for the flushing of the uterus, can your doctor tell you the medical name of the procedure he is intending to do? with the medical name you can google and get more information about the procedure. finally, don't agree to the procedure unless you have a good understanding or seek a second opinon. |
udoka2: BukieluvOkay, just get enought rest and take thing easy, stay encouraged. but please promise that if you start feeling any symptoms good or bad please don't hesitate to go to the doctor or seek a second opinion. Personally, I don't like the way the doctor is making you feel like you are bothering him with your questions or knowledge. it is not a bad thing to know about your fertility and your womanly health. so don't apologize for being an informed patient. |
@ Aladunni.. look on page 66 -68 of this thread. i believe seanbell was on Bromocritine/parlodel (spelling?) and she has some good notes on the sideeffects. @ Ebony13, we are doing fine o. thanks for asking. i am traveling for work today. so i am just sitting at the airport and catching up on nairaland. abi, wetin man go do? |
Aladunni: Thank you for the quick reply camrygirl, how are you and the baby doing?I believe your Dr prescribed Palodel for the Prolactin, it is the most common prescription and it works for reducing the prolactin levels and also alot of peopl have complained about the side effects. Am sure if you had discussed the side effects with your Dr. he may have asked you to try another brand of the drug or adviced you to use it at night and with food or glass of milk to reduce the side effects. I am sure your new dr will redo the blood tests and depending on results... my advice as you go to this new doctor is that you should not be afraid to ask for copies of your bloodwork and also don't be afraid to ask questions about why he is prescribing a drug or even asking the dr to give you a better understanding of the Lab results. i used to be scared to ask doctors questions, but i realized that i was paying for a service and i should get the best for my hard earned dollars... |
udoka2: Hello mums,@Udoka be encouraged, try to encourage yourself with the word of God. Did you dr check your beta HCG levels? beta hcg levels are monitored via blood test and in early pregnancy the beta levels should double every 48hrs. that is what my dr did when the scan results showed nothing and the hpt was still Positive. I hope Dr asked you to continue taking your progestron. Ceemlon, welcome. bettle did well on the anaylsis. @Aladunni .. looks to me that your LH and Prolactin need to be controled to be in the normal range. what have you done about them? did the dr. prescribe anything. I will defer final analysis to Beetle, she is really good at this. God bless her. |
I was banned on my 100th post Zenoj, I looked at the natures answer brand you are correct it only has 40milligrams , I am not sure that is enough o. Can you get nature's way brand that one 400millligrams This new cycle will end in rejoycing by God's grace. Welcome back home hebrew woman. Congratulations @adetunrayo, wishing u a happy and healthy 40weeks . @my nairaacct your testimony is a big one o, only our Big Mighty God can do such, He will perfect what he has started... Mo ba e yo ( I am rejoycing with you) @udoka, you and lo are in God's shadow and according to psalm 91 you are both protected from every pestilence and noon day arrows. It is well with you. @rockqueen .. Lol@your comment on becoming a slient reader. seanbell where at thou...? @subzidi... Wondering how u keep track of o days? Since you don't temp, do you use opk or do you check CM. bukieluv: Hello Ladies,@bukieluv a lot of questions about vitex have been asked on this forum try doing search on naira land and read the replies people gave. I always say that when using vitex do not use it alone, use it in conjuction with a prenatal or at least folic acid and then reduce the dosage of the vitex in your two weeks wait. When I used vitex by it self 2009 because of irregular periods, I ended up bleeding for about a month, I think it was too strong for my system, so that was why I gave fertile aid a try in 2011, it contains vitex and other vitamins. So after regulating my system with fertile aid, because of the cost, I started using it for first half of my cycle and then only used prenatals during my two week waits. |
traeces:

Having gone through your posts i realised that quite a number of you suggest that we hold on a bit.DH and i didnt make this decision overnight, infact after over 5 tests my husband blatantly refused the donor fluid option. I wanna state some points.1-the decision isnt/wasnt solely mine.My hubby surprisngly said he would want us to use a donor fluid because he felt there would be a connection between the baby and us. I would carry the pregancy with him by my side and we would nurture the child together. We already have names for our children, an eduaction trust fund and all because we know that God will bless us soonest....Okay ma'am matter closed. you are a strong woman. i kinda understand your stance on posting any updates and i respect that. Please continue to look to the forum for support or to give support to others. I don't think you made a mistake announcing your decision here. so many silent readers and future readers may gain strength from your decision and your strength. Udoka, the matter no dey for your hand to close.. (i hope you won't feel offended). but i think Believer should have been the one to close the matter(WHICH SHE HAS NOW DONE) i won't want someone else asking others to stop posting or close a matter/topic I posted. @ipio how far? as for me.. just learnt that i will be traveling for work for a week on a two hour flight and i can't turn it down, dr says i can go but need to be extra careful with handling heavy luggage and taking it easy. |
on friday i was complaining that i had to pee in a cup for every doctor visit. but I forgot it was for my own good.
