Is it possible for one to carry along his/her fee in Naira to Canada and probably get official rate at Canada bank when paying fees? because I'm thinking of carrying my fee along with me to Canada to avoid this killing exchange rate in Nigeria. Nigerian students in Canada please advice accordingly

University of Ottawa
Queens University
Make use of Google to get more schools and also have an idea of the fees.
Note: 1 year masters programs generally cost more annually compared to 2 years in which the cost is split between both years. i.e. for example one year may cost a sum of $30,000 CAD whereas a 2 years would cost about $40,000 but $20,000 each year.
With a 2 years masters programme, you get to qualify for 3 years PGWP
But with 1 year master programme you are qualified for only a year PGWP.
Choice is yours. Good luck.

Hello house please I need your professional advice's.
I am planning to apply for a student visa. I am in my early 40s. I have an MBA and a chartered accountant. Last qualification which is my MBA was in 2009. I worked in a coy as accountant till 2014 when I formed a coy with some friend. I have the CAC documents. I also formed another coy in 2017 with myself and family as directors. The coy specializes in borehole drilling. I intend to apply for an entrepreneurship course. I'm at a dilemma if I should do this course or what other options I have. I'm also at a dilemma at how many years program I should apply for a one year PGD or a masters for two years since I'm an entrepreneur.

Finally my correspondence letter has arrived, and would be in Canada by nextweek for the fall session..

I was denied in June, applied for a second degree which some gurus in the house discouraged me not to go for, that I should go for a masters or something higher, despite having a 5 years engineering degree here in Nigeria 3 years ago.

I re-applied with faith without using a gcms note to tackle the reason.. I just wrote 6 pages of SOP and another 4 Pages of LOE together, and today I was approved of my visa(3 years) from the Kenya witchy witch VO, they denied me before.

Whoever has been denied before, please re-apply till you get it, because you will surely get it.. do not let anyone discourage you, go for what you want and back it up with good application and prayers, you will come out victorious.

I pray for everyone here who is waiting on their decision, you shall all be approved IJN, frustration is far from you.. please pray always, as prayer is the key..

I fasted for good 9 days with no food, just Garri and water.. but I knew after that, the lord would answer me..

I want to thank everyone one here who has contributed so well, and those who criticized me, you all made me strong.. and I can’t wait to always see good news here.

Unfortunately, my application was refused by the embassy
The letter came from London yesterday 15th August.
I applied on june 18th and refused on 15th August. It happend and i am sad.

Pls let the above not discourage you
June and July applicants, i wish you all well.
I prayed and had patience, but didnt meet the requirements. (Didnt convince them that i will come back to Nigeria after my masters program. My scholarship will now go to someone else�

God is still perfect. I tried the best i knew i can.

Thanks @jnyuwa02. I am surprised too...according to my wife they are blacks (a lady came in while a man was outside). They identified themselves as a staff from BCI (Background Checks International or so)... I have never heard about them before. They spent like 10 minutes asking questions about our relationship, her place of work, number of kids, who owns the building, where we were staying before relocation (Probably they wanted to confirm the information I provided on the CIC forms). Shortly after I got home and she told me that they just left.....I quickly dashed out to track them but without luck. Fear con begin dey catch me...why me because I have never heard about such on this platform. Also, when I applied for US Visas for my wife and kids......they questioned her (because I was not allowed in) on the kind of work that I do...especially when they saw Libya Visas....but they never said anything about USA, UK, UAE and other Africa & Asia Countries I have visited.

I am suspecting they just started doing this physical checks or may be they pick some applicants at random like you earlier said. Only God knows what they are looking for upandan. It is well...

You may have to exercise little patience. The CIC website seems to be currently down on scheduled maintenance. Hence, you may not get the correspondence letter until the website maintenance is completed. This is the message on CIC website as at yesterday ''This online service will be unavailable from 3:30 a.m. to 5:30 a.m. Eastern time, on Tuesday August 14, 2018, in order to perform system maintenance''.

Hello Gurus,

I have 10 yrs study gap and have been refused twice. I have applied for GCMS note after my 2nd refusal and i am still waiting for it. The summary reason for refusal is 1) purpose of visit 2) travel history

it is obvious am refused based on my huge study gap. And i already know that a strong SOP should be able to tackle it.

I need suggestion and sensitization from people with knowledge or history of tackling study gap for over 5 yrs

Good afternoon everyone. I have been a silent reader here. I applied for study permit online on July 26th, was called for biometrics the next day. I did the biometrics on July 31st. My resumption is for September.

Just now I received a Medical request in my CIC portal through my email. Please can anyone explain what this mean?

I agree to this, this is related to what i said some days back,most June applicants have gotten their final decision but they are silent maybe cos their final decision wasnt favourable, hence the reason for the silence. Cos like we all know July applicants are already getting final decisions not to talk of June. Maybe refusals are more than approvals thats why June applciants have been silent. For those still expecting a final decision, it shall end in praise.

I don't know if New Brunswick is a good school, but you wouldn't get a good MBA program without a good gmat score

I have just been refused the 2nd time on travel history and purpose of visit. I applied with a virgin passport. it is kind of sad.

1st application - applied April 17, refused may 11
Refused based on travel history, purpose, personal asset and financial status.

Reapplied June 19th, I got assurance from God my second application will be approved in 6 weeks
Medical request on 11th july
Application approved August 2nd.

Will share my profile later.
Please don't feel discouraged to try again. Do all needed and leave the rest to God. Don't force it!

you will observe the following

Biometrics Number: 0000
Date of Biometrics Enrolment: 06/01/2018
Expiry Date: 06/01/2028

I think this is the new update that was implemented early this morning. Still waiting for the medical call though
