2. How much is the school fees and do they allow part payment?
3. When will the application for the 2019/2020 section start? |

At this point, Google may be your best bet....it may do some good to Google other forums on spousal visa.. this thread might not be your best bet....considering that peeps here are still waiting on their visa....and only insignificant number of those who have gotten their student visa and travelled come back to keep up with the nairaland family that kept them going in the days of their waiting.... If only those peeps would come back to touch base, your required info would have been an easy fry.....

|

@Vivincintia, Out of curiosity, just wanted to confirm if UBC refunded the USD5,000 admission deposit for the MBA program vivicintia: I used an agent, but d deferral fee requested is from d sch not d agent and d school gave me till January to pay d deferral fee. Am no longer interested in d sch again or d deferral since d visa was denied. The issue now is not d agent but to get the acceptance fee of $5000 back from d sch. What u sent is for continuing studies , it's same refund policy for MBA. Av searched d acceptance fee refund policy for UBC, MBA based on visa denial can't find it. |

hahahahhahahahhaah......................so hilarious..................@galala123, ur profile name is as comic as your write up..........keep up the english rehearsals.............it truly calms tension.................meanwhile my clients application is 14weeks and they are already knocking on my door for refund of 75% remuneration already chopped for service rendered................. i can write their episode for the Nairaland Travel to Canada Zee World filming oooh....................... galala123: Wit the drama going on here I think I need to contact zeeworld to start filming an episode... from disappearing acts after being delayed, to prayer and fasting warriors, to VO's in the house, to theory and hypothesis formulation, to server down/ up monitors, to check again at noon proponents (yours truly), to peeps closely marking IRCC on twitter, facebook, instagram, website, etc, to folks doing unpaid work to keep their minds away from IRCC thought and retain their sanity, to those that fell sick after receiving medical call because of tension between medical request date and medical exam date of availability, to how hearts skip a beat whenever the phone beeps (that may be the mail I've been waiting for oh!), to CSE warriors, SOP combatants (As everybody's SOP is becoming perfect, LOE has entered and by the time ALL LOE's meet minimum requirement, another document will become essential), to Peeps blowing up when "some kind of " questions are asked repeatedly like "I can't log in, do I call fire service? to folks asking about GCMS if delayed and reminding people that they are leaving them behind in a hole when finally approved. I remember one fellow who was drinking lacasera when his "letter of delay" was received on phone... He said the taste of the drink changed immediately in his mouth. This is one hell of a nollywood story in various episodes (part 14 now).... It will be great if people come back like 5 years after travelling to give their Canada experience and tell the house if they will still desperately seek this path seeing what they know now, with hindsight.
"All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players: they have their exits and their entrances; and one man in his time plays many parts, his acts being seven ages". William Shakespeare

In clear and honest terms, no one can tell you for sure, what your chances for success will be..........whatever you read or hear are mere speculations. Seeking for a second degree shouldnt raise eye brows if it is well justified........... however, our reputation as nationalities of this great Nation called Nigeria is so bad..........that it is extremely difficult for the VO to filter genuine applicants................and trust the genuineness of our intention to change course of study. The homework lies in you to genuinely justify the need for a second B.SC. after one in Nigeria.............. Homework 1. Why another B.SC? 2.Why this B.SC. in canada and not elsewhere? 3. What are the employment prospects of a B.SC. holder in your proposed field. 4. What will compel you to return after your B.SC.........? Correctly answering above, might clear the purpose of visit............... then other sections of the review will come up afamnwodo10: I am 26. Applied for study permit via paper route. Graduated with a Bsc in building in the year 2015. Finished my NYSC April 2018. Now I am applying for a study permit for a second degree in computer science in Canada for the first time. No travel history. Documents submitted Waec NYSC University statement of result Birth certificate Employment letter I just got a week ago from a construction company here in Lagos. @Dera124345 B.SC. in biochemistry, second class upper, currently working as secretary and pursuing 2yrs PGD in Health Care & Environmental Service Mgt.............. hmm is your dad's company into Health or environmental services?.............or else the level of explanation required to justify the purpose of this your proposed study is enormous ooooooooooh............. As for the family ties , from my review of your information provided.... you havent given sufficient proof for economic ties.....your economic ties isnt convincing enough to propel your return to Nigeria upon completion of your studies in Canada....is there a likelihood that upon completion of your studies you would take over a key role in your father's company? is there any evidence showing that you are being prepared for this key role? personal assets and financial status- Since you have declared being employed, pay stubs, salary account in your name, pension statement, fixed deposit or other investments will suffice for this. Dera12345: DENIED!! Please I need an advice.. GURUS Pls Help Am 23yrs graduated 2016 [Bsc in Biochemistry with a 2.1], youth service 2016-2017(Ministry of environment and mineral resources), I have a professional certificate in Health safety security and environment (HSSE level 1,2 &3) which I did during my service year. I applied and got admission for a 2yrs post secondary diploma in ( Healthcare and environmental services management) in centennial college. Tutition fees paid. $8000cad I was denied based on family ties, purpose of visit, and personal assets and financial status. My most confusing problem is in this personal assets and financial status, I indicated my dad is my sponsor, provided his company bank statement of #700million inflow and #40Million as closing balance, his CAC, memorandum of association, with his sponsorship letter, he is the ceo and signatory to the acc, also submitted a board of resolution letter from the company written by my mum with company letterhead because she is one of the directors. I don’t have a personal landed property though my father has lands and houses, I filled in my form that am currently working in that same my dad’s company as the company’s secretary, which I joined this year Jan after service in dec, no employment proof was added like employment, introduction or leave Letter, as I joined the group late. Since my admission has been deferred to next year fall, I plan to start crediting my acc with 100k monthly with my father’s company name as depositor name ,as per salary for the next 6months, and this will sum up to like #980000 as I want to present my personal SOA in my next application. I don’t know if the VO will check if that money have been entering since this year Jan I said I started working, or do they just go through the submitted bank statement? Hope this can solve the personal assets issue , points on other refusal reasons are welcomed. Already ordered my GCMS note but I still need more clarification THANKS |

Lets not be in a hurry to issue advice, without first going through previous correspondence....the referenced individual (@Cherryola) has undergraduate admission already, but has gotten about 2 refusals..........from information provided ....he is in his late twenties, highest qualification is OND, voluntary job for a while, just a recent job offer of about 3months with about a 100k income from the company sponsoring him..........he has a land in his name.............in my own opinion his economic tie is weak.............my candid advice is for him to work a while, probably get promoted to a level with higher pay and higher job functions, then reapply........... Linzo: Madam, please ignore the person advising you to go get your degree in Nigeria before applying for Canada. I still wonder were some people get their information. You're more better positioned to get admission and visa than a person seeking visa for a postgraduate and college diploma. With OND of 2016 you stand far better chance of getting Visa to Canada. Just go and apply for admission, get your offer letter and go for your Visa. I repeat undergraduate Visa has more chances than postgraduate and diploma |

Returned foreign currency transfer does not take more than 2 days......however, it is not a big problem.....you may need to write to your school to forward to you the swift message or telex copy evidencing the refund; with the telex copy, you can approach the receiving bank (your Nigerian Bank in this case) to trace where the money is hanging.................. The Nigerian bank through which you remitted the funds for your school fees, do you have an account with the bank? On the contrary you may approach your Nigeria Bank and lodge the complaints Mbaku86: Please how long does it take for money to be remitted from Canada to Nigeria. A lot of factors are considered.............and every consideration is on a case by case basis...............being 30years or above 30years will not be the sole reason why a Canadian Student Visa application will be declined........2 factors are key to the VO, "that you have sufficient & available funds for your proposed studies and that you would return back at the end of your temporary stay in Canada"............. However you can materially convince the VO that you are a genuine student that would return back after your studies now lies in your arms.........Goodluck Okattamgbee: Good day to you all,
I need someone to confirm if this is really an important criteria for VISA denial.
I contacted an agent yesterday in regards to getting me a student visa and he said that my year of graduation (2016) is okay but my age (30 years) will be a problem why i might be denied visa.
However, he suggested that i apply for student visa in the following countries; UK, USA and Ireland.
A simplified clarification will be appreciated.

@Vivicintia I doubt if this money can be refunded; from UBC's website it is clearly stated that it is non-refundable and non-transferable......... however, nothing is impossible..................email the school and hear from firsthand, their own opinion on the refund..............That school is damn too expensive........... 1year MBA tuition of $79,290 CAD for international student and estimated total all inclusive expense (Tuition, accommodation, textbook, etc) of CAD105,442..........................#loud hmmmmmmmmmmmm# Anyway N1.5million is alot for a Nigerian to blow away like that.................UBC is among the very good and expensive business schools in canada.............count your losses...........and choose carefully next time. Someone who can afford $79,290CAD can easily forget 5000CAD vivicintia: It was stated as non refundable. @Vivicintia, you mentioned earlier that the 5000CAD equivalent of 1.5m is non refundable; if it was clearly stated as non-refundable acceptance fee.............then it is what it is; however, the school would allow you defer the admission but not refund. except it is not stated as NON-REFUNDABLE on your admission letter.....in that instance you can get a refund.......................... vivicintia: I paid acceptance fee of 1.5m to UBC. After sending them mail, Visa was denied. Please who knows if I can get the money back. |

Sir...."form A" transaction is wat you use for invisible transactions...invisible transactions are medical bills, school fees,.etc ....once u are doing "form A" transaction in any Nigerian bank....you get the CBN prevailing rate for that day of the transaction.....so pay your school fees via "form A". However...for PTA, it is capped at USD4000.....banks will not sell more than USD4000 cash to you per quarter....and you must present an airticket, valid visa and international passport....so any additional cash you want....u buy from bureau De change....shikeena geotherm: Naira is not an international currency. I heard CBN gives official exchange rate if you show them your study visa. |
