My candidate was at WAEC office at YABA, Lagos.....the process is simple but, with some amount of cash to part with 1. Official processing payment to WAEC, for processing result confirmation for international purpose is 10,000naira. 2. Officials at this office would also charge 10,000naira for courier service. 3.WES insist on sending scratch card, this scratch is currently sold by saboteurs outside WAEC office for 2,000naira as it is currently unable at WAEC office. There are indications that the price of the scratch card would go up as the demand increases....there are speculation on artificial scarcity. 4. There is an arrogant typist, directly opposite WAEC's office that processes the sworn affidavit for 4,000naira as at January, 2019. Months before now she was priced at 2,000naira...... however, if you are patient and have sufficient time, this affidavit can be done for less than 500naira at the court at Sabo yaba......(the business Centre opposite the court types the document for 150naira, you take the typed document into the court for seal....which is 250naira only) Keke maruwa to and from WAEC office to court at Sabo is 100naira........well if you are unaware of this, some bigots at the court would request payment of 1,500naira. 5. Price of 2 envelopes is 100naira 6. 2 passport photograph. 7. In case you run out of cash, there is First Bank brand adjacent to WAEC office. 8. Result confirmation is done by WAEC between 9am and 1pm.......try get there on time.......Friday is usually crowded. 9. Courier lady, mentioned that the tracking number would be sent to your mobile phone after 2 weeks. Best Wishes........ igwemesh: I just got this from WAEC ..they responded to my mail
You are to visit or send someone to WAEC office, Yaba, Lagos with the following requirements:
1. Photocopy of result; 2. Two (02) Passports Photograph; 3. Two (02) Official Envelopes; 4. Sworn Affidavit from Court; 5. Administrative fee (#10,000); 6. Attestation Letter from any of these (Lawyer, Civil Servant, Cleric) etc (Only for Nov/Dec); 7. Courier fee (will be determined by the courier service).
Thank you |

I unequivocally say that, the attached letter was not written by a fellow learned colleague....the grammatical error, poor punctuation is an arrant show of shame and a defeat to professionalism. The letter headed paper was either stolen or the letter was prepared by the least of all baby lawyers. In any case, write to the school either to seek for a refund or a deferral depending on your choice. Considering that a third party processed your application, do not reapply without seeing your GCMS notes......since the refusal letter was given to you, your UCI and application number would be on the refusal letter....you would need those details to request for the GCMS When you are set to reapply, simply create a CIC account and process your application yourself.....Nairaland will definitely be a sure guide. Good luck!!! sopho: URGENT UPDATE PLEASE KINDLY READ THROUGH..
Hello Nairalanders. I want to call the attention of everyone here . I once posted what I have been suffering from the hands of the Agency that I simply contracted to take care of my application. This is simply a monumental show of shame and greed. I am pressing demands to have access to my CIC online application for Canada Study Permit. At some point I got vexed because of the undeserving treats I got from this Agency. Sometimes you call their number they won’t pick. It appears as if I was bugging them with my calls and sometimes instead they will tell me to send a mail.In my life I have never been humiliated or treated the way I was treated by this Agency. But I was calm and patient because I was determined to see the end of it and on the 27th of November the Agency forwarded me a mail from CIC which contained the refusal reasons and I posted it here that finally the visa has been denied. I believe that login details should be a rightful entitlement entitlement of whomesomever that applies for a study permit via the online route. But in my case is has become a sacrilege that I am requesting for it even after the VISA has been denied. They never granted me access to this till my visa was denied on the 27th of November which I also posted on this thread. Today I also got a letter from the Agency (KEYSTYLE LEARNING) that I am threatening them. To be honest I do not trust them anymore because of the way everything is playing out and since it has surfaced to this level I am prepared to go to any length with this Agency . So now my visa has been denied and I am rightly requesting that they grant me access to contact my school to applly for the refund of my tuition fee I paid directly from my bank since the agency has been the one contacting the school on my behalf since July .These their attitude goes a long way to demonstrate that something is hidden. So I do not have right to also ask them to grant give me the online access to contact the school that I paid my tuition fee to refund my money? ... Please I want everybody to look into this matter and tell me where I have gone wrong.
I am ready for this WAR which they have waged against me and I am going to fight it to the finish. This is my 2Million Naira that is involved . It’s my hard earned money I paid directly from my bank to school and now that I need the agency to grant me access to ask for refund they are keeping deaf ears. The wickedness of man is too much in this country. |

With CIC , funnythings happens these days, we dont know whether the medical call was an error or the refusal letter was the error. He was even asked to provide updated letter of acceptance. The applicant filled the webform complaining of being called for medical and refused afterwards; he received a response that a decision has been made on his application, and he is welcome to reapply if he can addres the stated reason for his refusal. PGD Applicant applied July 12,while the MBA applicant applied june 20.both received final decision on november 16. makano: I didnt say u wrote without ur senses in order tho... Its just funny how one can be rejected after passing the requested Medical. Very Very Very rare and strange. |

I wrote with my senses in order....i said called for medicals and was refused after 4 days of medical updated as passed....i am clear on what i wrote.... makano: Refusal after Medical passed. I am thinking its upfront medicals tho, cos I cant imagine them requesting for Medicals and later refusing the application. So it should be upfront medicals. |

Judicial review may not help here; 2applications under my counsel were refused by london office on the 16th of November...singular reason was purpose of visit Both applicants are matured students pursuing MBA and PGD;infact the PGD applicant was called for medicals on the 5th of November and medical was updated as passed....only to get the shocker refusal. Both applicants are single, aged 33 and 34yrs gainfully employed with an average of 6years work experience and personal finances in excess of 10million. They are both planning to reapply with well strutured SOP'S to explain even the most irrelevant detail........the demand for Canada visa is high these days and the VO's aint smiling MeinKampf: I graduated 2008. I'm 34yrs and single. I explained why I didn't go to western Europe for the course as the focus in Europe is always on Engineering management as against Industrial Engineering part while the course isn't available at post graduate level in Australia. If not for the money involved, I think I should opt for Judicial Review. |

Quite painful...however you may consider these points in your next application, should you wish to reapply. 1.) Are u a matured applicant with study gap in excess of 5years? 2.)Are u single or married? Then u need to do a very very detailed SOP, why you choose to further your education now, why you choose to do it in Canada and not any other first nation...what benefit/value wil lthis study in Canada be offering that same study in Nigeria can not offer. A very very strong SOP will do...goodluck MeinKampf: Application submitted on July 8th Online Biometrics done July 10TH No update until refusal this morning

Sometimes I am inclined to believe there is something fundamentally wrong with CIC's database for June through to August applicants.....it's so weird to hold applications this long........probably, the database crashed and they are still trying to recover the data. Even CIC customer service support in charge of responding to webpage and emails are already frustrated and are in recent times, venting their frustrations on helpless applicants. |

Your post below does not include the specific "generic" reasons for refusing your application. It might be quite hard giving a lead without this information. In any case, the opium for some refusals reasons could just be a detailed SOP whilst some would require additional documents. treeofhelp: Dear All,
Please I need your advise. I applied for Canada student visa in August 2018 but visa officer said he/she is not sure I will return to Nigeria after my study. I was to study 8months program. Below are the little info about mu application. I am on paid job(employee) and I have family business that is being run by myself and my wife.(Genuine) I submitted below documents along with receipt for full tuition fee. 1. Consent letter from my wife 2. Cover letter from myself 3. Certificate of incorporation from family business 4. Tenancy agreement on two acres of land owned by my wife and myself. 5. Survey plan on house owned by us (No C of O yet) 6. Family dependents are 3 my wife and 2 kids. 7. Introductory letter from my employer 8. 3 statement of accounts(my salary account, family savings account and family business account) I have deferred my admission and I need to reapply with full force. Please I need your contributions on what was missing in the application. I will appreciate all your contributions |

Congrats on your success story...a bit of clarification on your app being stuck with New Zealand...did the 2nd GCMS note categorically stated why it was stuck with New Zealand? Did u at some point travelled to New Zealand? I am a bit confused how an app being processed at London office went to New Zealand. Did u do anything to correct the error? Lotusboi: *LONG POST***
First Application Submitted: 4th April Biometrics: 5th April Delayed: 29th May Reason: Purpose of visit, insufficient fund to pay fees without working in Canada.
Second Application: 13th June Biometrics: 22nd June Medical mail: 22nd October Medicals done: 5th Nov (IOM Abuja) Uploaded: 7th Nov Approval/PPR: 8th Nov
Submitted Docs: SOP School admission letter (Carleton University, MEng Mechanical Engineering) Financial Documents: Bank Statement (First Application had just a balance of 1 million, this second application had a balance of 11 million). Treasury Bills, Shares, Properties were also submitted. Graduated 2017. Just completed NYSC last month During this second application, I ordered gcms for my first app, saw the reason stated by the VO (go through my timeline to see this), but I had already submitted my application so there was nothing I could do. I wanted to resume this Fall. Towards the middle of August I sent out a lot of CSE containing my school fees receipt and also seeking for an expeditious review of my app. I didn’t get any responses immediately apart from the regular generic responses which came after like a week. I ordered gcms again and it came after 20 days. I found out my app was stuck because of an error in collecting data from New Zealand. Shortly after this I started receiving mails that my tuition receipt has been received. My review of eligibility didn’t change throughout. I sent a new admission letter from fall to Winter. Reception was confirmed. I stopped worrying. I looked at goingforward and admired her for being pious. I remembered my God. I started doing early morning special prayers concerning this visa. This was in October. I partook of a 3 days dry fast in my church. 2 weeks later I received my medical mail. IOM was fully booked but God’s favour located me once more. I did the medicals and got my PPR yesterday. What I did differently in this second application was I involved God. Prayers do work and never ever relent. God will deliver unto those expectant of their visas in Jesus name. I want to also thank Jeremy and Frank for taking their time out to reply my questions and advise me. God bless you both. See you all in Maple Land.
Ps. If you’re interested in the prayer points I used to pray send me a pm and I’ll send them to you. God bless |

I want to thank everyone in this forum. My wife’s SP and son’s TRV just got approved and PPR sent. She’s 40years! Never too late to study. She had BSC sociology (2002) over 16years study gap. Another Bachelor Degree in Public Health, Almighty UNIVERSITY OF LETHBRIDGE! Her first ever TRV. I started to follow this group on her behalf since June, but because of some technicalities( about the forms IMM) we opted for an agent. I want to encourage everyone still waiting, Your miracle is on the way. This group helped us a lot and I will always look back. Thanks a lot. Timeline to follow anytime soon. |

Hmmm.....which visa office handled ur application?you would know this from the address on the refusal letter. Your Plan B...isnt a bad one.....if thats yr choice....however, depending on ur age now and what it will be 2years time...remember that after age 35, the CRS score reduces by some points.....is there any guarantee that EE would still be opened to Nigerians in 2yrs time?...recall that at some point American visa lottery was opened to Nigerians.....but in the last few years...the window has been closed to Nigerians... kayvine4u: After 13 weeks of waiting, it's a refusal for me based on purpose of visit. Kinda suspected due to my study gap of 10yrs but i was hoping my well written SOP will convince the immigration officer.
Im not gonna bother to reapply, going with my plan B to get a masters in d UK and then apply for EE in 2yrs.
Thanks guys for all ur support. |

Bros....i am mot sure you work at the head office of the bank you work with.....CIC does a random check on banks.....basically headoffice not branch.....i repeat.....random check.......This statement of fact is coming from a very reliable source. jandj: Hmmm, I am a banker and I will tell u something about how your account is handled. No one has the right to get your account details (balance inclusive) except by court instruction. Although the statement submitted can be verified if it was issued by the bank, CIC does not have the right to get your account balance at any point in time without a court instruction. |

In my assumption ....refusal on purpose of visit...........means that the VO was not convinced that your purpose of visit is actually to study.......probably, 1.) the choice of discipline is not in line with previous studies or current employment 2.) the choice of discipline is not economically viable in Nigeria.............so after schooling, the PA would not return to naija...because there are no good jobs based on the course studied. 3.)The level of education sought, is below already attained educational level The myth is that, "purpose of visit" can be well tackled with a good SOP, elucidating the economical viability of the proposed course and level of studies....and also defining the need for a career change where this is applicable. ( ABOVE ALL, NA by God's grace ooh.............) 042viber12: Can som1 explain getting denied cos of purpose of visit..is it like dy are not certain, u are going for studies...just asking |

@ SenatorKolade, the processing time as at when u submitted may not be the processing time that your application would be processed. Processing time stated by CIC is historical not futuristic...............meaning that as at when u submitted, it took CIC an average of 9weeks to complete 80% of application submitted.... going forward, if more applications are received and the man power to handle the application is not also increasing, it will take longer time to process.Processing Time updated on 5th of October is 14weeks as at October 2nd 2018............... working backwards; 14weeks before october 2, 2018..........is June 26, 2018.............technically what this means is that CIC is currently and officially processing applications that completed biometrics before June 26, 2018. However, there are outliers to this.Considering that your application has not exceeded the 14weeks currently stated...........you may not get a response;even if you get a response.............it will be nothing new...but same copy and paste generic mail............... as per the presentation and content of your mail, you are in order.Senatorkolade: IS THE BELOW WRITE UP OK FOR THE CASE SPECIFIC ENQUIRY TO THE IRCC:
I am writing in respect of my study permit application which has exceeded the average processing time for applicants from Nigeria. The average processing time for Nigerian applicants as at July 5th, 2018 I submitted my application was 9 weeks and my application is almost 14 weeks now. It seems my application has been abandoned.
I will be glad to know the update of my study permit application. Thank you. |
