I dont regard the independent, guardian or channel 4 news as left wing, they are establishment media outlets ie news outlets which OFFICIALLY claim to represent the liberal arm of the media but which in reality are STILL controlled by the british govt, many of their correspondents and reporters are linked to british intelligence and their reporting is heavily censored. the ambassador's daughter was from a very wealthy family, she was also charged along with john for match fixing - during the court case she was described as being staggeringly wealthy in her own right.


John fashanu is an opportunist he likes to associate with the rich and famous and you only have to look at his track record to know that he is purely motivated by money, he has also been accused of ripping off a lot of wealthy nigerians , i am therefore very sceptical about his relationship with this woman, looks like he might be after money or contacts or both.

this is a great loss, i watched a few of his films and he was one of the few good nigerian actors, my heart goes out to his family.

John Fashanu is a very dodgy individual and not to be trusted - i hope this woman knows what she's doing, he only goes where there is money to be made and i think he's also a user, he was married to an ambassador's daughter and i beleive he milked her for every penny she had before abandoning her, so i would say to this new lady in his life - make sure he doesnt have access to your finances, (dont know whether they have pre nup agreements in nigeria) because money is the only thing that motivates him.

I'm so glad gbagbo's daughter has now come out to openly confirm what many of us already knew, that this is a neo colonial takeover, that an unwanted IMF stooge is being forced on the ivorien people and that this puppet is using death squads to terrorise and ethnically cleanse the opposition - somebody should explain to me how this is an improvement on what the ivoriens had under gbagbo.

yes exactly, buhari was not the favoured candidate, jonathan had been chosen and approved by the US as soon as Yaradua passed away, he met with a US delegation after being sworn in even before meeting with members of his own govt.

the votes of the masses counted as long as they were in suppor of the favoured candidate - i beleive many votes in favour of buhari were not counted or replaced with votes in favour of jonathan.

to my mind buhari was the real winner, but his past stance on anti corruption and unwillingness to adopt neo liberal economic policies of britain and america while he was in office in the 1980s is what prevented him from ever being able to regain power in nigeria.

You have to look at how western powers behave towards candidates they back - they give them all the support including even military support - Ouattara is a prime example, but if they want you out they resort to every kind of underhand method (including military attacks) to get rid of you - Gadaffi.

i am 100% convinced that pdp rigged this election, a lot of money exchanged hands and many of nigeria's elite were paid off, the thing you must understand is the nigerian elite do not give two hoots about the masses - they've already mortgaged nigeria and its resources to the west. i know it sounds terrible but the future for many nigerians looks very bleak.

“The PDP has used huge amounts of cash to buy the police, soldiers, officials of INEC and even other parties’ agents,” said one of our sources, a US-based attorney who traveled to Anambra State to observe the elections.
In Lagos State and most of the southwest states, the ruling party has been granted a free pass by ACN leader, Bola Tinubu, to rig the polls. Mr. Tinubu struck a deal with the Jonathan-Sambo team to help the PDP ticket win the votes it needs to carry the day.

In Kaduna, the PDP has moved in with stupendous cash to avert certain electoral embarrassment for Vice President Sambo. Mr. Sambo could not deliver his ward last week, leading to great panic on the part of the Jonathan-Sambo ticket.

One source said the ruling party this morning distributed N1.9 billion to electoral returning officers, security agents, and agents for other parties. A PDP source disclosed that the party had budgeted N3 billion per state for the purpose of stealing votes.

In Kaduna, the responsibility for disbursing the party’s largess was left in the hands of Alhajis Hussaini Jallo, Muktar Yero (the deputy governor), Hamisu Mairago, and Lawal Ismail.


Several sources said Anambra had been turned into a free rigging field for the Jonathan ticket. “The police and army have cordoned off polling booths all over Anaocha local government area, and PDP members are thumb printing ballots which INEC officials then sign and drop in as votes,” said a source. He added that agents representing the other parties had been offered bribes that are several times higher than their payments – and most of them were collaborating in the rigging. “There’s no more hope for this country,” said the source.

Meanwhile, Mr. Jonathan, who authorized the widespread rigging, was hypocritically proclaiming that today’s voting was free and free, adding that he had not interfered with officials of INEC.
