Foreign Affairs › Re: Louis Farrakhan Warns, Advises Obama On Libya by cap28(op): 10:54am On Mar 26, 2011
Chinweizu goes on to say:

Nigeria could become like Kuwait, Dubai etc., or even like Cuba, if it organized to use its oil earnings in the interest of its population. [b]But for 50 years, the Black comprador colonialists have not seen fit to organize that. With their Eurocentric education and blancophile brainwashing and their mental allegiance to White supremacy, they have fallen for every conman advice that the white supremacists gave them on "development", especially through the IMF and the World Bank and the foreign aid outfits like Britain's ODA and America's USAID.

The ways of white supremacy are comprehensively devious. In fact one of its uses for the "independence" imperialism granted its colonies was to enable it to deny responsibility for what its Black comprador agents do to their own people, even though it is all part of what they are prompted and encouraged to do for the continuing imperialist plunder of these "ex-colonies".  These black misgovernments are serving as monkey's paws and fall guys for the plundering of Black Africa by and for the white powers.

Like the Black Slavers in the era of the Chattelization Wars, a.k.a. the Slave Trade, and like the plantation overseers and house niggers of ante-bellum USA, the Black colonialists of today operate within the framework and mandate given them by white supremacy, but they add their own peculiar twists to the master's mandate. The executive anarchism of the Nigerian comprador elite just happens to be, perhaps, the most abominable of these local twists to the basic mandate given by white supremacy to its local black agents.

We all need to continually deepen and update our understanding of white supremacy and its manifold and morphing ways if we are to see its dominant and directing roles in our condition. We also need to understand the roles of its black colonialist agents among us, and their own special contributions to the mess. If you want more insights into the Nigerian case, I can send you "Black Colonialists"—an interview I did two years ago on the roots of the trouble with Nigeria. You could also read The West and the Rest of Us, for insights on the ways and means of white supremacy especially during the post WWII transition to Black colonialism in Africa.

Jen33:
cap28, please drop some more wise observations by the great Chinweizu. cool wink
no problem, here is an excerpt from an article by him entitled
Nigeria and white supremacy:

"If you don't understand white supremacy—what it is, and how it works—everything else that you understand will only confuse you."

To complete the picture we need to add the role of the white supremacy institutions of the new imperialism in initiating and maintaining the disaster that is Nigeria.

The combined and fuller picture allows us to see how the mess in Nigeria serves a white supremacy which manipulates Nigeria through institutions like the IMF, the World Bank, the UN agencies, The (British) Commonwealth, which link Nigeria to the global system of white supremacy.

Nigeria, like other black African countries, has been misruled by local Black Comprador Colonialists whose paramount interest is to preserve the subordination of their countries to the imperialist interests of their "former" colonial masters. It is that subordination that permits them to loot their own people for their imperialist masters, and allows them, as the junior partners and agents of imperialism, to keep a share of the loot, which is their own consuming interest.

Of course, to that end they have frustrated, in their own local interests, any attempt to develop an autonomous polity that is answerable to its own people, that responds to the will/desires of its own people.  A Nigerian polity that responds to its own people would have less to hand over to the imperialist masters, and would come under imperialist pressure and attacks. A current example is Mugabe's Zimbabwe. For so long as Mugabe did not try to take back the land stolen by the whites, he was okay. But when he began to respond to his people's land hunger, he became a pariah and came under sanctions and destabilization from the white supremacist powers like the UK, the USA and the EU.

In contrast, Nigeria, under Obasanjo, handed to the foreign creditors a whopping $12bn to allegedly get Nigeria debt-free (which it did not) while leaving Nigeria with badly decayed roads, power supply, education, etc. that still need massive capital injection to refurbish them. Needless to say, the debt-free mirage was just a scam. Nigeria is still not debt free and still goes aborrowing.

But since Obasanjo was a loyal servant to the white imperialist powers, he had a free hand to rig elections, sack villages that contested his misrule (e.g., Odi in the Niger Delta was sacked by Obasanjo's soldiers), and to loot to his greed's content. By the way, the bulk of the loot from what is misnamed "corruption" gets stashed away in the banks of Europe and America, thus adding to the total plunder that the imperialists extract. In that way, even the much decried corruption of the Nigerian elite ends up serving the white powers. It also bribes the Black compradors with part of the imperialist loot so they don’t buck the system.

We need to keep this fuller picture in view if we are to understand the so-called "failed state" of Nigeria. Nigeria, from the viewpoint of its population, is a failed state, has always been a failed state, i.e., a state that has failed to serve them or address their interests. And it has been that way right from its founding by the British a century ago. But it is not yet a failed state from the standpoint of its British and other imperialist masters. It has always served the white power interest, and consistently, at the expense of the interests of its population, during both the period of White Expatriate colonialism which ended in 1960, and the period of Black Comprador colonialism that began in 1960. We need to be ever mindful of these two senses of the phrase “failed state”.

Incidentally, though Nigeria is financially in a position to give free education to all its citizens—let’s leave aside the matter of the damaging white supremacist content of that education—part of why it does not do so is that much of its resources is pumped abroad to the coffers of the white supremacists through "debt" repayments and the routine looting by the foreign companies and their Nigerian comprador agents. If Obasanjo had chosen to apply to Nigeria's needs the $12bn he eagerly handed over to the white shylocks, there would be more than enough funds for the free education Franklyn is talking about, and for much else.

I have read most of his works including his work on the power of women grin. I also liked his work on de-colonising the African mind and literature;'The West and the rest of us' etc.
Sincerely, we don't have many 'thinkers' or 'intellectuals' like him around within the African sphere nor in the black world. We do not appreciate people like him or such pursuits in our midst. We are truly a conquered/defeated people. Intellectual rigour let alone creativity is not exactly acceptable. Mediocrity is normal and 'natural'. It's a shame.
Have you seen the debate/discussion on the ' confirmation of the Nigerian diplomat' by the Senate and some NLders justifying mediocrity.?
Cheikh i couldnt agree with you more, Chinweizu is the only nigerian intellectual to date whose views i respect.
You are 100% right we are indeed a conquered and defeated people - Chinweizu actually stated that if black africans are unable to produce at least one industrialised nation by 2050 free from neo colonial control black africans should prepare themselves for extinction at the hands of the stronger nations . At first i thought this was chinweizu engaging in scare mongering but when i read a document known as NSSM 200 - which recommends the implementation of depopulation measures in third world countries with high populations i realised that there is a lot of truth to Chinweizu's prophesy. If you read this document you will find that one of the recommendations suggested is to reduce the population of various listed countries (nigeria is one of them) using various methods ranging from war, famine and control over food supply , when i checked to see who actually controls the worldwide production and supply of food i discovered that they are all american owned multinationals.

no it is NOT clear that you know what you are talking about, however what is clear is that you accept unquestioningly ONE side of a story without applying critical thinking, can you provide me with factual evidence backing up  your claims?

but you however pop out of nowhere with some brand new, never before heard off theories about cia and brittish backed al queda(in libya). so i ask you to paint us a picture of what really is going on in Libya since the universally acepted verson is false and you have some inside knowledge of cia and brittish involement. why is this so hard for you?
I posted a link which i thought you would read, but it appears that you havent bothered, or have read but didnt understand - either way you might want to try reading it .

perhaps because you're simply a u conspiracy theory junkie who in reality does not possess any FACT? whats your whole point about india? one country abstained from voting but others did didnt they? let me guess india are the good guys and all the other guys are bad. i mentioned the countries with ties with libya which could have vetoed this motion didnt veto it is this not FACT mr? all you have said so far is
1. india didnt vote based on insufficient evidence
2.some of the protesters are former al qaeda operatives
3.U.S/U.K at some point sponsored these A Qaeda operatives
A smart person would have asked why india felt there was insufficient evidence - but i see im expecting too much from you -

an even cleverer person would realise that there is a huge difference between innocent protesters and al qaeda operatives and finally a person with a switched on brain would definitely smell a rat if they discovered that these same al qaeda operatives have not only been sponsored and trained by the US/UK govt but are working with the US/UK govts to try and topple gaddaffi - oh well - now i know im definitely expecting too much from you.

I admire your reading list and I'll like to recommend the work of the late Palestinian Scholar- Edward Said( culture and Imperialism). He's an interesting and compelling Scholar. I'll rather him amongst intellectuals like Noam Chomsky et all, than Tariq Ali. That's not taking anything away from your drift wink
You may be right that in contemporary Nigeria, we do not read enough and that's because our people have ascribed the usual 'Nigerian' "utilitarian" 'value' to everything including 'intellectual' pursuits like reading. It's no wonder we are 'poor' smiley and vacuous.
thanks Cheikh, ill have a look at Edward Said's work. Have you read anything by the nigerian academic Chinweizu Ibekwe - if yes what do you think of him?

I like Tariq Ali's analysis of middle eastern politics, with regard to crititque's on western imperialism Parenti is brilliant - here is a link of one his lectures:

Goodpoint CAP28, but with regards to Nigeria that may be a "Bridge to far"
for US/NATO, the lie may be too obvious and it would be risky for
US/NATO to bomb/invade a Black African country, the biggest one for
that matter. And would the top African-American Military Brass buy into it??

The Somalian mis-adventure is a warning to them, and they know they would
find it hard to pull off,
deejay nothing is too great a task for these imperialists to embark on if at the end there is a huge pot of gold.

time and time again the western media has succeeded in pulling the wool over the eyes of their people, even africans who shoudl know better given that we have been on the receiving end of their abusive treatment for centuries and other covert forms of neo colonialism are the ones cheering them on the loudest in their imperialist invasion of libya.   you have to understand that the vast population of this world are completely brainwashed and conditioned to believe the propaganda churned out by the western media.

Those african americans working with the US govt are traitors and turn coats, is it  the likes of susan rice who has been responsible for some of the most treacherous acts against african nations you can think of that will balk at the thought of invading nigeria - i dont think so - dont forget the role she played with regard to abiola's demise. or is it the current commander of AFRICOM? dont forget that these people do not see themselves as africans but as americans.

Foreign Affairs › Re: Louis Farrakhan Warns, Advises Obama On Libya by cap28(op): 9:08pm On Mar 24, 2011
the great chinweizu continues to break it down as follows:

The negrophobia syndrome is characterised by melanotropism. A
magnetic movement away from or toward different intensities of
melanin, the skin pigment. Blancophilia induces a reflex movement
toward things white, even toward white ugliness. The stimulus object
is white skin, any skin that is low in melanin.

Negrophobia, for its part, induces a reflex movement away from
things black, even from black beauty. The stimulus object is black
skin, any skin blessed with melanin in high dosage.

Negrophobia and blancophilia are, of course, conditioned responses
to white power and black powerlessness. In a sad case of stimulus
substitution, the responses to superior power have become
transferred to white skin, and those to powerlessness have become
transferred to black skin. The negrophobia syndrome is a chronic
disease with the white race, a disease born of pride of power. It is a
disease with which they have infected the whole world, including the
black race, giving rise to negro negrophobia, the disease of black self-
hate.

Negro negrophobia makes blacks accept leaders of thought and of
action that are chosen for them by whites. It makes blacks revere any
third class mind, any tinpot potentate, that whites anoint to confuse
and mislead them. But for negro negrophobia, we would
automatically reject any leader chosen for us by our historic enemies.
But for negro negrophobia, we would thoroughly suspect the loyalty
to the black race of any black Rhodes Scholar, of any black Nobel
laureate, of any black Faisal laureate, of any black Lenin laureate, of
any black knight or peer of England, of any black elect of the French
Academy. He would have to work extra hard to convince us that he is
not an agent sent to help hasten our ruin.

Believing the blancophile dogma that white is right, that white is
quick-witted, that white is beauty and virtue and salvation; believing
the negrophobe dogma that black is wrong, that black is dumb, that
black is ugliness and sin and damnation, the negrophobic black does
not feel comfortable in a blacks-only group. Blacks-only associations
give him claustrophobia; he must throw open the doors to let in some
white skin to boss or spy on him; only then can he relax; only then
can he feel that all is well with his world. Negro negrophobia is, thus,
a disease which drives blacks to crave racial integration and to
espouse continentalist Pan-Africanism.

the outstanding nigerian academic chinweizu ibekwe accurately described "men" of your ilk as suffering from negrophobia:

Negrophobia is a psychoneurosis, a mental disorder. So too is
blancophilia, its twin. If someone hates everything black, including
the black butterfly, including the most fertile black soil, isn't he
mentally disturbed? If someone loves everything white, including
white trash, including white arsenic, isn't he mentally disturbed?
Negrophobia and blancophilia form a syndrome, a characteristic set
of psychoneurotic passions that occur together.
chinweizu then goes on to describe the symptoms:

Negro Negrophobia makes blacks defer to whites. It makes bright
black boys, the thinkers of the race, obey the IMF, the World Bank,
GATT and the UN, even when they know that the orders from such
outfits are aimed to destroy their own people. It makes black
intellectuals swallow and spout any silly idea, provided it is put forth
by some guru of the white world, like Marx, like Jesus, like
Mohammed.

deejay when the chips are down the europeans unite to crush their common enemy - look at how the 3 imperial powers have all come together in order to steal Libya's vast oil wealth, contrast that with how african nations (nigeria, south africa, gabon) were used as pawns in order to secure the requisite number of votes that would enable them further their objective.  Also contrast that with the complete disarray of the AU and its failure to compel nigeria, gabon and south africa to refrain from voting in favour of this barbaric intervention.

if you listen to tarpley's analysis he states that these  libyan  rebels are staunch racists that have been lynching black africans accusing them of being african mercenaries working for gadaffi, they have also been heard chanting: Libya for the arabs not the blacks -  but have you heard this reported in the western media? no because right now these murderous gangs are serving a useful purpose - the proposed  toppling of gadaffi.  When will africans wake up and understand who their real friends are?

EVEN THE WHITE PEOPLE ARE AGREEING WITH FARRAHAN IN THE COMMENTS !!!!

Truth cannot be hid any more, i bet you the folks in Wiscousin are listening to Farrahan Now!!!
bros thank you jare!!!  white people are very intellectually astute people, they are always on a permanent quest for knowledge, you have to give that to them, thats why they have been at the top of the food chain for so long, you know the first time this video clip was posted on youtube it received over 400,000 views and the majority of comments made were very positive and made by americans from all walks of life - contrast that with the negativity being spewed on this thread!!!

this is why we can not progress as a people there are too many amongst us who are devoid of basic intelligence, this is the same way marcus garvey warned african americans about a 100 years ago that if they did not become economically independent and start a move back to africa to build up their own nation they would remain at the mercy of white america for the rest of their lives, when he made this statement he was ridiculed and  scorned by his fellow blacks.  Eventually several black informants colluded with what later became the FBI and he was framed for mail fraud before being deported to Jamaica, he eventually died a broken man.  100 years later all the things garvey warned blacks in america about are still happening, had they listened to him then they would have been an independent and wealthy nation on the same footing as any western nation.

Bro thanks for your support, the fact that there are people like you and isale gan out there fills me with hope.

did you have a listeen to the audio clip i posted from webster tarpley's website - listen to it - its very informative - it gives hourly updates on the libya situation. Tarpley is the best.

My response to ^ is this smiley. So in essence you're saying, if anyone does not agree with your world view, they have "no knowledge of history". Okay. I have heard you.
No, what i am saying is based on previous discussions i have had with you regarding issues of this nature you do not appear to have much knowledge or understanding of african american history or for that matter racial issues, therefore in order to save myself a conversation with you that might degenerate into something both of us might not like i decided to take the fifth on this one.

smiley again. I know you're used to fighting in this section and when someone does not try to shove down their own beliefs or ideas or thoughts down your throat, they may come across as ^. I assure you, that is not the case.

I prefer to give people a chance to explain why they believe what they believe in a logical or experiential way. I don't know it all, so I'm always eager to learn when I can. You have shown me that in this instance, you cannot defend your extremist views, so like an artful doger, you avoid facing the challenge by throwing out the self-elevating declaration that "you cannot discuss with someone who doesn't know history".
The fact that you refer to my views as "extremist" already indicates to me that getting into a long drawn out discussion with you will be a complete waste of my time, i am quite happy to defend my views if the person i am speakign to has at least some rudimentary knowledge adn understanding of racial issues and does not tag anyone who speaks out against racism as an extremist.
As i said earlier my  decision not to discuss race or african american history with you is based on previous conversations that i have had with you in which it was obvious from your one sided and extremely biased world view that i would be on nothing more than a fool's errand.

I had hope, but I see now that you seem incapable of seeing beyond race and color. If its black, its good. If its white, its bad. That seems to be your incontrovertible philosophy. Like I remarked to you earlier, you're living in the past. "Fighting" some imaginary war against the imaginary 'white man'. You indeed know sizeable chunks of history, but your interpretation of it leaves a lot to be desired. I bet you could even somehow spin the most innocent of situations into a complex conspiracy theory, with the 'white man' as the perpetrator. I'm not insulting you Cap, but this is what you come across . . . and I am just about the 1000th person in section to remark this to you.

I hope it is now clear I can "form an opinion"?
This is why i decided to avoid any discussion with you because you have already labelled me, put me into a box and closed your mind to anything based on logic.  i asked you earlier - do you refer to a jewish person who speaks about the atrocities of the holocaust as a jewish supremacist, extremist or victim - unsuprisingly i didnt receive an answer.  I would love to discuss issues such as these with you but if your mind is closed to reason and logic based on a lack of knowledge together with an unwillingness to research these issues, there is nothing i can do for you.
Beleive me i do not feel insulted if i am told that i am a conspiracy theorist by you because you have to look at the calibre of people who make such assertions - are they well read, widely travelled individuals with an indepth understanding of the world they live in? I'll leave you to answer that, I read widely and obtain my information from very credible sources and intellectual minds such as noam chomsky, webster tarpley, michael parenti and michael hudson - all critically acclaimed and respected academics therefore if a couple of ignoramuses on NL beleive that i am a conspiracy theorist this clearly demonstrates that i am obviously directing my thoughts, observations and comments towards a much more low brow audience - i am guessing that you are not familiar with the works of any of those writers.

If you answer my questions, I promise I will try to explore yours in further detail. For starters, there is nothing informative about what Farrakhan says that has not been already examined in public debate regarding US affairs in the middle east. What is eye opening about his gibberish xcept for innuendos about conspricacy theories?

You are quite inconsistent you know, first you say you don't hate White people, yet all the governments and institutions you warn us about are controlled primarily by these same people. Is a western government not representative of the will of its majority?. Then you claim I want to be like White people cause to you a use of common sense equates a pledge of devotion and submission to your "IMPERIALISTS", then you support the rantings of a known Black supremacist whose organization is full of pseudo Islamic doctrne and fallacies about origins of black people, passing the fool off as a legitimate truth seeker.

instead what we have since come to understand is that the so called unarmed protesters are actually US backed al qaeda operatives who were even involved in fighting in iraq at the beginnning of the second gulf war.
some of these operatives have also been identified as individuals recruited by the UK intelligence services to overthrow gadaffi.

Libyan rebellion has radical Islamist fervor: Benghazi link to Islamic militancy:U.S. Military Document Reveals

Well known to the United States policymakers in Obama White House and Clinton State Department along with the National Security Council but not widely known to American mainstream media, the U.S. West Point Military Academy’s Combating Terrorism Center document reveals that Libya sent more fighters to Iraq’s Islamic militancy on a per-capita basis than any other Muslim country, including Saudi Arabia.

Perhaps more alarmingly for Western policymakers, most of the fighters came from eastern Libya, the center of the current uprising against Muammar el-Qaddafi.

It turns out that these supposed unarmed protesters are actually well equipped and trained al qaeda operatives:

Achieving new heights of hypocrisy, the U.S government is hyping the threat of Libyan-backed reprisal terror attacks inside the United States, while launching air strikes in support of so-called “protesters” who have commandeered fighter jets and tanks, and are in fact Islamic fundamentalist Al-Qaeda cells who want to impose sharia law in Libya.

While the global establishment media has characterized these mobs as “protesters,” even as they commandeer fighter jets and tanks, and used allegations of Gaddafi brutality against them as a justification for air strikes, in reality they largely comprise of radical Islamic fundamentalists who will end up being more savage in their abuse of power than anything Gaddafi was ever accused of, should the air strikes lead to regime change. The ordinary Libyan people, the majority of whom support Gaddafi, are caught in the middle, which is why many of them are now trying to flee Tripoli.

The UN-backed air strikes have absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with protecting the human rights of “protesters”. The air strikes and Tomahawk missiles have been launched in support of terrorist cells so that the US military-industrial complex can repeat its age-old trick of installing a radical Islamic regime which they can later overthrow, giving them strategic access to the region and allowing them to control the largest oil reserves on the African continent.

Still stuck in the 60's history professor.
Can you tell us where you live please, is it lagos or Kafanchan, Nigeria and if so are you a first class citizen in your country of abode? If you are do tell what the freedoms of a first class citizen are accorded to you. Do you control any resources?

How come you haven't joined mend yet, or how come you aint in talks to overthrow the puppet govt in Nigeria?, I guessed you prefer the job of a town crier eh?

Where do you work? How to do you make your living? whose bank do you keep your money, what mode of transportation do you use.

Do tell? Ah bet you won't?
Mr wannabe intellectual who hides behind unintelligble grammar, everything about you screams fake, you are desperate to be accepted by whites - they just laugh at you, your poor grammar and spelling gives you away as a half baked wanna be intellectual, your "knowledge" is confined to writing unintelligible diatribes about your betters on NL, even the whites that you worship would only employ you to do menial tasks for them and not to work alongside them as an equal.

I am still waiting for you to refute anything that farrakhan raised in that video clip, like i said learn to show gratitude towards your betters.

by the way why would i disclose anything about myself to a confirmed schizophrenic?

JeSoul:
And Cap, you did not answer me, why does anyone who doesn't subscribe to black supremacy or 'victim-acy' automatically equal "white-man worshipper"? One must be a black extremist or otherwise a "sell-out"?
Its very difficult for me to answer that question because you dont appear to have any understanding of african american history, therefore it will be very difficult for me to have a meaningful exchange with you, my advice to you is find out more about african american history and then you might just begin to have an understanding of where i am coming from.

secondly speaking and acknowledging the truth of african american or african history does not make me a victim, jews never stop speaking, writing, and reminding the world ad nauseam about the holocaust - do you refer to them as jewish supremacists, extremists or people revelling in victimacy as you call it?

You sound as if you find it difficult to form your own opinions
