Some of u who support anything done by anyone who brands himself as a man of God need to realize that its d westerners that brought this same Christianity to us and they are not all immoral/irreligious atheists.
They brought Christianity to you and they used it to keep majority of you in mental bondage, come to the west and you will marvel at how nobody bothers with going to church here. Only Africans and carribean people go to church (enslaved people with enslaved minds) in huge numbers because majorify of Africans are downtrodden and poverty stricken, many are looking for a fictititious God in heaven to come down and solve their problems.

Japan is a great and powerful nation but guess what? they expelled Christian missionaries from their country in the 19th century because they knew that foreign religions mean only one thing - mental enslavement of the indigenous people, the majority of Africans are mentally enslaved to their white European oppressors.

Nigerian Pastors Fleece Believers USA-Style: Bishop David Oyedepo Owns a Gulfstream Jet and Several BMWs

October 16, 2014 by Terry Firma

Nigeria has long been known as the home country of countless Internet scammers, but Reuters reminds us that some of the country’s megachurch pastors have devised their own get-rich-quick schemes modeled after shining U.S. examples like Benny Hinn, Paul Crouch, and Jim Bakker.

Some of the churches can hold more than 200,000 worshippers and, with their attendant business empires, they constitute a significant section of the economy, employing tens of thousands of people and raking in tourist dollars, as well as exporting Christianity globally. …

[TB] Joshua draws miracle-seekers from all over the world with claims that the holy water he has blessed cures otherwise incurable ailments such as HIV/AIDS.

And Ebola!

We see giving as the only way to be blessed. Blessing other people is a way of keeping the blessings flowing,” said [David] Oyedepo (pictured), whose blessings include a Gulfstream V jet and several BMWs.

The untaxed prosperity and typical lack of accountability are ruffling some feathers.

“They don’t submit accounts to anybody,” says Bismarck Rewane, economist and CEO of Lagos consultancy Financial Derivatives. “At least six church leaders have private jets, so they have money. How much? No one really knows.” … As the churches have charity status, they have no obligation to open their books, and certainly don’t have to fill in tax returns — an exemption that is increasingly controversial in Nigeria, where poverty remains pervasive despite the oil riches.

The pastors argue their charity work should exempt them. “We use the income of the church to build schools, we use the income of the church to serve the needs of the poor,” David Oyedepo, bishop of the popular Winners Chapel, told Reuters in an interview. “These are non-profit organizations.”

In a country where the average worker pulls in about ten dollars a day, Nigeria’s megachurch pastors are financially fortunate indeed.

In 2011, Forbes magazine estimated the fortunes of Nigeria’s five richest pastors. Oyedepo topped the list, with an estimated net worth of $150 million. He was followed by “Pastor Chris” Oyakhilome of Believers’ LoveWorld Incorporated, also known as the Christ Embassy and popular with executives and politicians, [who has] $30 million to $50 million.

A former banker at Nigeria’s United Bank for Africa, who declined to be named, recalled being approached five years ago by a church that was bringing in $5 million a week [$260 million a year] from contributions at home or abroad. “They wanted to make some pretty big investments: real estate, shares,” he said. “They wanted to issue a bond to borrow, and then use the weekly flows to pay the coupon.” In the end, he said, the bank turned down the proposal on ethical grounds.

Nothing about this obscene wealth-generating machine will change anytime soon.

A national conference to debate Nigeria’s constitution this year proposed that the megachurches should be taxed. But with an election coming up in February, it is debatable whether President Goodluck Jonathan, who is close to several megapastors, would risk upsetting these influential men and their hefty congregations with a fat tax bill.

Neighboring Cameroon, at least, isn’t quite so reluctant. As I wrote a half a year ago, Cameroon’s government has been closing prosperity-gospel churches that “rip off vulnerable people” and are therefore deemed “harmful to society.”

MASTER SCAMMER OYEDEPO THINKS HE IS DEALING WITH POVERTY STRICKEN, IGNORANT NIGERIANS, MY ADVICE TO HIM AND HIS FELLOW CRIMINALS IS COME TO THE UK AND WATCH HOW FAST THAT YOUR £93M FORTUNE WILL MELT AWAY IN FRONT OF YOUR EYES ON COURT CASES THAT WILL BE BROUGHT AGAINST YOU:

Laughing on his private jet - the £93m pastor accused of exploiting British worshippers

By George Arbuthnott

A church run by a controversial multi-millionaire African preacher has been accused of ‘cynical exploitation’ after its British branch received £16.7 million in donations from followers who were told that God would give them riches in return.

Followers are ferried in double-decker shuttle buses to the church, handed slips inviting them to make debit card payments, and are even told obeying the ministry’s teachings will make them immune from illness.

Today’s Mail on Sunday revelations about the Winners’ Chapel movement, which holds charitable status, have prompted the Charity Commission to carry out an assessment of the church – one of the fastest-growing in the UK.

Winners’ Chapel is part of a worldwide empire of evangelical ministries run by Nigeria’s wealthiest preacher David Oyedepo, who has an estimated £93 million fortune, a fleet of private jets and a Rolls-Royce Phantom.

Dubbed ‘The Pastorpreneur’, he was accused earlier this year of slapping the face of a young woman he said was a witch. The assault case was struck out but is being appealed.

Branches of the church have sprung up in major UK cities in a huge recruitment drive centred on Mr Oyedepo’s ‘prosperity gospel’. This claims that congregants who make regular donations and pay tithes – a ten per cent levy on their income – will be rewarded financially by God.

Followers are urged to target vulnerable people such as the lonely, the sick, the homeless and the suicidal as potential candidates for conversion.

Last night, Labour MP Paul Flynn said Winners’ Chapel was cynically exploiting supporters. ‘They [Winners’ Chapel] are making clearly spurious claims and it seems to be a cynical exploitation of the gullible,’ he said.

Referring to the slapping incident, Mr Flynn added: ‘What is also alarming is the reported violence and the lack of respect for the status of women. It’s taking us back to a previous age of ignorance and prejudice that we all thought the church had escaped.’

This newspaper’s investigation can further disclose:
Congregants are handed a payment slip requesting payments using cheque, cash or debit card when they enter London’s Winners’ Chapel.
Donations to the ministry in England almost doubled from £2.21 million to £4.37 million between 2006 and 2010.
Mr Oyedepo’s superchurch in Nigeria received £794,000 or 73 per cent of the charitable donations paid out by the British Winners’ Chapel between 2007 and 2010. This was despite claims in Africa that he is enriching himself at the expense of his devotees.
The registered charity has spent £6.81 million on evangelism and ‘praise, worship and fellowship’.
The church’s ‘Joseph Squad’ preaches in British prisons and has a weekly broadcast named ‘Liberation Hour’ on satellite and cable TV here.

In the past three years, Winners’ Chapel churches have been established in Liverpool, Birmingham, Leeds and Bradford, adding to those in London, Manchester, Dublin and Glasgow.

An undercover Mail on Sunday reporter attended Sunday services at Winners’ Chapel’s ‘London HQ’ in Dartford, Kent, which attracts 1,000 congregants – chiefly African and Caribbean immigrants. It is run like ‘a business conference’ by Mr Oyedepo’s son, David Oyedepo Jnr. Packed buses deliver singing worshippers from South-East London, Essex and Kent to the huge auditorium.

The reporter saw a payment slip being given to every person entering the church encouraging them to donate money by cheque or cash or to fill in a form with their debit card details. The slip said tithes should be paid separately using a ‘Kingdom Investment Booklet’ and the reporter was informed that payments could also be made by phone. A pastor told the worshippers: ‘You shall be financially promoted after this service in Jesus’s name if you are ready to honour the Lord therefore with all your givings, your tithes, your offerings, your Kingdom investment, your sacrifices.’

Congregants were told to fill in their slips and hold them above their heads while the donations were blessed

The service was interspersed with testimonies. ‘I received a bill from the bank that I didn’t understand, so I prayed,’ said one congregant. ‘A few days later, the bank wrote to apologise for their mistake – Hallelujah!’ ‘Hallelujah,’ the audience shouted back.

Congregants were told they could gain favour by persuading others to follow Mr Oyedepo’s teachings. His son said: ‘Look around you. Someone is sick and already wishing he or she were dead, that is a fruit ripe to harvest. Someone is confounded and considering suicide as an option, that is another fruit that is ripe to harvest.

‘Someone else is lonely and wondering if there is any future for him, that is another fruit ripe to harvest.

‘Also there are many men and women, young and old that are homeless, these are fruits ripe to harvest.’

The reporter was taken, with 20 other new recruits, to a room where preachers gave sermons claiming acceptance of the Lord would prevent them ever being ill or suffering misfortune.

The Mail on Sunday has seen video footage of Mr Oyedepo striking a woman across the face and condemning her to hell after she said she was a ‘witch for Jesus’. He attacked her in a Winners’ Chapel superchurch, believed to be in Nigeria, in front of worshippers. A separate video shows him saying: ‘I slapped a witch here last year!’

In May, he was sued for £800,000 over the alleged assault. The case was struck out – a decision which is now reported to have been appealed.

The Winners’ Chapel movement, also known as the Living Faith Church, has hundreds of churches in Nigeria and across Africa, the Middle East, the UK and the US.

Mr Oyedepo has received fierce criticism in Africa. One Nigerian journalist accused him of ‘leading a growing list of pastorpreneurs – church founders exploiting the passion and emotion that Christianity commands to feather their nests’.

Catholic Cardinal Anthony Okogie criticised such preachers for placing materialism above Jesus’s message. He reportedly said: ‘They have been skinning the flock, taking out of the milk of the flock.’

Among Mr Oyedepo’s fleet of aircraft are said to be a Gulfstream 1 and Gulfstream 4 private jets. It is also claimed he and his wife, Faith, travel in expensive Jeeps flanked by convoys of siren-blaring vehicles. He is the senior pastor of Faith Tabernacle, a 50,000-seat auditorium in Lagos reputed to be the largest church in the world, and runs a publishing company that distributes books carrying his message across the world.

His other business interests span manufacturing, petrol stations, bakeries, water purification factories, recruitment, a university, restaurants, supermarkets and real estate. The latest addition is a commercial airline named Dominion Airlines.

A Charity Commission spokesman said: ‘The Charity Commission is currently assessing what, if any, regulatory role there is to play with regard to the complaints made against the World Mission Agency. It is important to clarify that this does not constitute an investigation at this stage.’

Winners’ Chapel administrator Tunde Disu declined to comment.

This set up of a man asking his wife to submit her salary to him is a clear cut case of abuse and control. This can only happen in a society where men are allowed to get away with abusing women and of course Nigeria is such a society. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with a wife helping to pay bills and contribute to the running of her home, but to ask her to submit her salary to her husband as if she is mentally retarded and incapable of running her own affairs is simply exploitation and abuse. This type of scenario normally happens in a situation where the the woman was desperate to get married to the man and feels that without the man she has no life, if such a man knows this he will abuse the situation and start making unnecessary demands on the woman. Therefore women should realise that marriage is not a do or die affair but merely a union between two people who love each other and intend to help raise and nurture a family together, it shouldn't be used as a means of exploitation. Men who engage in this type of behaviour are usually the type of men who married for ulterior motives for example in the US a lot of Nigerian men import young women from poor family backgrounds over to the US, they get them to work as nurses and then insist that the money these women make is "submitted" to them every month for "projects back home", the woman effectively becomes modern day slaves to this man's demands and any attempt to break out of such a set up is met with extreme anger and violence from the men - is that what marriage is all about? would any man wish his sister to undergo such treatment at the hands of any man?
To say that the man does this in order to "help" the woman manage her finances is a major insult and slap in the face to Nigerian women as I see Nigerian women as some of the most hardworking and industrious women out there, the average Nigerian woman juggles her personal career with the raising of her children and does a good job at it, come to the west and you see western women who do not cook and prefer to go out clubbing with their female friends rather than stay home with their husband and kids. Ask any western woman to submit her salary to you each month and see whether that marriage will be in existence the next day. Some women in the west even divorce their husbands as soon as he loses his job not to talk of asking her to submit her salary to you every month. I have sisters and would never stand by and watch any of their husbands make such demands on them.

HealthRe: Mums: Would You Consider An Epidural? by cap28: 8:16pm On Nov 02, 2014
How an epidural is performed

If you choose to have an epidural, the procedure will be carried out by an anaesthetist. An anaesthetist is a doctor, specially trained in providing patients with pain relief during medical procedures.

Having an epidural
Most epidurals are given while the patient is sitting down and leaning forwards. Alternatively, an epidural can be carried out while you are lying on your side with your knees drawn up and your chin tucked in.

Lying or sitting in these positions opens up the spaces between the bones of your spine (vertebrae) and allows the epidural needle to be passed into the epidural space more easily. This is an area through which the nerves from your spine to your body pass.

Before the epidural needle is inserted, a sterilising solution is rubbed into your back and sterile drapes are placed over your back, leaving the injection site exposed.

An injection of local anaesthetic into the skin helps to reduce any discomfort. A hollow needle is then inserted and a thin, plastic tube (epidural catheter) is passed through the middle of the needle, into the epidural space. The epidural anaesthetic can then be injected through the tube.

If you are having an epidural during childbirth, you will need to have a drip in your hand so that fluid and medication can be given to help prevent low blood pressure, a common side effect of epidurals. The drip may restrict you from moving around freely.

While you are having an epidural inserted, you may experience a brief stinging sensation as local anaesthetic is injected into the skin. You may also experience slight discomfort in your back when the epidural needle is positioned, and the catheter is inserted.

If you feel pain or an electric-shock-like feeling, tell your anaesthetist, because the catheter may be pressing against the root of a nerve and may need to be repositioned.

Effects of an epidural
Shortly after having an epidural you will start to experience a warm, numbing sensation in your lower back and legs. Your legs may feel heavy and more difficult to move. It usually takes about 20-30 minutes for the epidural to take full effect.

The nerves in your bladder are also likely to be affected by the anaesthetic. This means you won't know when your bladder is full, and whether you need to go to the toilet. To prevent damage, a thin plastic tube (catheter) will be used to drain urine from your bladder. Your bladder sensation will return to normal when the epidural is stopped.

Read more about the side effects of an epidural.

After having an epidural
Following epidural anaesthesia, it is likely you will be advised to rest in a lying or a sitting position until the feeling in your legs returns.

It usually takes a couple of hours for the feeling to return to your legs and you may experience a slight tingling sensation on your skin as the anaesthetic starts to wear off. You may need help getting out of bed.

If you start to feel any pain, you should tell the doctor or nurse who is treating you. They will be able to give you medication to help control it.

After having an epidural you will be able to breastfeed your baby

HealthRe: Mums: Would You Consider An Epidural? by cap28: 8:00pm On Nov 02, 2014
Side effects of an epidural

There are several potential side effects that can occur after having epidural anaesthesia.

Low blood pressure
Low blood pressure (hypotension) is the most common side effect associated with having an epidural. This is because the local anaesthetic used affects the nerves that go to your blood vessels, leading to a fall in blood pressure. This may cause lightheadedness or nausea.

Your blood pressure will be closely monitored while you are having an epidural. If necessary, medication can be passed through a drip to treat low blood pressure.

Pain and discomfort
You may experience some slight discomfort when local anaesthetic is injected to numb the skin during epidural insertion. However, you should not feel pain when drugs are injected into the epidural space.

Sometimes, it is also possible for an epidural to be unsuccessful. For example, this might occur if:

•it proves difficult to find the epidural space
•the local anaesthetic does not spread evenly around the epidural space
•the catheter falls out
If your epidural fails to work, your anaesthetist will see you and attempt to improve the numbness. If the epidural cannot be improved, they will offer alternative pain relief, which may include performing the procedure again.

Loss of bladder control
After having an epidural, you will not be able to feel when your bladder is full. This is because the epidural affects the nerves around your bladder.

A catheter will be inserted into your bladder to allow urine to drain away. Your bladder control will return to normal as soon as the epidural wears off.

Itchy skin
Sometimes, the painkillers that are combined with local anaesthetic during an epidural can cause itchiness. If you develop itchy skin it can usually be treated.

Sickness
You may feel sick (or actually be sick) after having an epidural. However, you are more likely to experience this side effect with a general anaesthetic. If your blood pressure is normal, anti-sickness medicines will usually help.

Backache
A study carried out in 2010 found no increased risk associated with the use of epidural anaesthesia and long-term backache.

Your epidural care team will try to ensure you are comfortable during and after the procedure, but being in the same position for a prolonged period may inevitably make existing backache worse.

If you experience severe backache in the weeks following an epidural, you should report your symptoms to your care team as soon as possible so they can investigate the problem.

HealthRe: Mums: Would You Consider An Epidural? by cap28: 7:55pm On Nov 02, 2014
An epidural is a type of local anaesthetic. It can be used to completely block pain while you are awake.

This has the advantage of allowing you to avoid the common side effects of general anaesthetic, such as feeling sick and dizzy. In addition, you will avoid the rare, but potentially serious, complications of a general anaesthetic.

Epidural anaesthesia can be used to numb sensation and provide pain relief in a number of situations including:

•during natural childbirth
•during a caesarean section, where a baby is delivered through a cut that is made in the abdomen
•after surgery that has been carried out under general anaesthetic
•during other types of surgery, such as knee surgery, hip replacement surgery, rib or chest fractures and amputation of the lower limbs
Epidurals are most commonly associated with being used to reduce pain and discomfort during labour and childbirth. This topic focuses mainly on this use of epidural anaesthesia.

Labour and childbirth
Some women decide to have an epidural during labour and childbirth. Your midwife will be able to advise you about having an epidural and whether they think it is necessary. However, remember that the final decision will be yours.

An epidural may be recommended to help relieve pain during:

•a particularly painful, complicated or prolonged labour
•the delivery of twins or triplets
•a caesarean section delivery if an epidural was sited during labour
•an assisted delivery – where either forceps or a suction cap (ventouse) is attached to the baby's head to help with the delivery

Education has nothing to do with a person's ability to perform whilst in political office - what was Muammar Qadaffi's educational qualification - did it stop him from commissioning the Great Man made river - a network of underground pipes which ran across the sahara desert supplying water to the people of Libya and neighbouring Egypt?

did it stop him from setting up a social welfare system which guaranteed free education to all Libyans from the cradle to the grave?

what has ability to provide for your people got to do with educational qualifications.

The problem with many educated illiterates like this professor is that they equate oyibo's man knowledge with knowledge which benefits Africa. this dumbo professor should understand that his PHD is about as worthless as used toilet paper the minute he leaves the shores of Nigeria and attempts to use it to get a job in the west.

Abandoned child syndrome is a behavioral or psychological condition that results primarily from the loss of one or both parents, or sexual abuse. Abandonment may be physical (the parent is not present in the child's life) or emotional (the parent withholds affection, nurturing, or stimulation).[1]

Parents who leave their children, whether with or without good reason, can cause psychological damage to the child. This damage is reversible, but only with appropriate assistance.[2] Abandoned children may also often suffer physical damage from neglect, malnutrition, starvation, and abuse.

I pity those children, they will have trust issues throughout their lives, as the very people who should have been there for them abandoned them at such a vulnerable stage in their lives, who knows the kind of abuse they have been subjected to for the past 8 years, both parents are a disgrace, particularly the father who should have been arrested. This is why I like the west, had this happened in the west the father would never have been allowed to have access to them again as he has totally damaged them for life (I don't even know what to say about their mother).

I believe the man would never have claimed them if he had not been exposed by the newspapers.

I just watched this and it really does raise a lot of serious questions, the guy on the floor does look fake and the child was definitely faking - if indeed this ebola pandemic is a hoax it wont surprise me as HIV aids though not a fake disease was manufactured by the US govt to wipe out blacks, gays and other elements in society perceived as a threat to the west.

West Africans in the US now being openly discriminated against because of ebola:

Ebola Fears Turn Into an Epidemic of Racism and Hysteria

By Andrew Jerell Jones

Thus far, there have been just eight confirmed cases of Ebola in the United States following an outbreak in West Africa. Far more contagious here has been a new virus of hysteria — and of the sort of ignorant discrimination that immigrants in general and Africans specifically have endured for decades.

People are being shunned and mocked for having visited, or even for simply having been born in, Africa — and anywhere in Africa will do, afflicted with Ebola or not. Others face discrimination simply for living in the same neighborhood where a single Ebola patient once lived. Politicians and pundits have seriously discussed closing our borders to entire nations. Panic is dividing the country at a time when the U.S. and indeed the whole world needs to pull together to solve a viral health crisis.

Early signs of Ebola hysteria came after Liberian Thomas Duncan became the first person in the U.S. reported to have the disease a few weeks ago. Even before Duncan died from Ebola, immigrants who lived in his Dallas, Texas neighborhood faced discrimination and other forms of disrespect. They were turned away from local jobs, stores, and restaurants, while frightened tutors refused to work with their children.

Sixty miles southeast of Dallas, Navarro College earlier this month denied admission to two Nigerian students, not because they were diagnosed with Ebola but simply because they were from a country stricken by the disease. Never mind that Nigeria did a remarkable job in containing Ebola, went six weeks without new cases, and this week was declared Ebola free by the World Health Organization.

Such racial embarrassments aren’t confined to Texas. The week before last in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, a Guinean high school soccer player from Nazareth Area High School was subjected to chants of “Ebola” from opposing players on rival Northampton High School’s team. The chants left him in tears. Northampton’s head and assistant coach have since resigned from their positions and disciplinary action against the heckling players is pending. Meanwhile, a few parents in Mississippi decided to pull their children from a middle school after discovering the school’s principal returned from a trip to Zambia, a country nowhere near the Ebola outbreak.

Liberia’s immigrant population in Staten Island, New York, reportedly the largest outside of Liberia, is also subject to unfortunate discrimination thanks to Ebola. “When they see you’re African, they’re kind of afraid to even shake your hands, you know, to talk with you and stuff,” one Liberian male told NY1. Another man said that while doing his school’s physical, the examiners “had to pull me, isolate me, ask me questions like how long I been here, just from knowing that I’m from Liberia,” according to the news channel.

The Village Voice awkwardly added to the stereotypes last week. A story about how the Ebola panic affected the Nigerian Independence Day Parade was headlined “Cloudy With a Chance of Ebola?” The piece, apparently written by a writer of Nigerian descent, was a generally thoughtful exploration of the intersection of ignorance, nationality, and health concerns, but commenters could not get past the headline, which was criticized as “disrespectful,” “stupid,” “ignorant,” “offensive,” “despicable,” “racist,” and worse.

More worrisome than grassroots Ebola hysteria are the calls for official national security policies rooted in the same sort of ignorance. Rep. Fred Upton (R-Michigan) is among those in favor of a ban on travel to and from countries stricken with Ebola outbreaks. “No, you’re not coming here, not until this situation is solved in Africa ,” Upton said recently. “We should not be allowing these folks in, period.” Talk-show host and noted icon of religious tolerance Bill Maher has also thrown his support behind the idea of national quarantines.

Center for Disease Control and Prevention Director Tom Frieden has done his best to try and combat this sort of hysteria with facts. “We don’t want to isolate parts of the world, or people who aren’t sick, because that’s going to drive patients with Ebola underground, making it infinitely more difficult to address the outbreak,” Frieden wrote in a blog entry last week. Charity organization Doctors Without Borders also poured cold water on any national lockdown ideas last month, saying that a ban placed on Sierra Leone would not prevent Ebola from spreading.

That sort of educational outreach is sorely needed right now. Spouting racist chants, discriminating against entire neighborhoods, nations, and continents, and isolating whole countries will only create unnecessary division around a health problem that requires a unified response.

Medical student 'endured racist taunts by NHS doctors who wanted virus to kill off Africans'

A former medical student who sued her college for £5.5 million because she claimed she was 'bullied by racist colleagues now practising in the NHS as doctors' has lost her court case.

Virginia Jibowu, 27, claimed that a string of white students harassed her, with one woman student attacking her and that she was told to ‘grin and bear’ casual racism.

Another female student allegedly suggested introducing a killer disease into Africa to wipe out all the blacks.

But it is understood that the London County Court found in favour of London's King's College in November 2011, and ruled that they had not racially discriminated against Ms Jibowu.

The college had strenuously denied the allegations, and said it was pleased that the court had found in their favour.

Miss Jibowu, who is of Nigerian origin, alleged that she missed out on a career as a doctor after a sustained campaign of abuse at London's King's College medical school.

She alleged that the college ruined her career by trying to ensure she failed her course and then expelling her.

She sued the college, which is part of the University of London, for failing to prevent her having to study in a ‘hostile and humiliating’ environment.

Miss Jibowu says that the college refused to investigate many of her allegations of racism.

She kicked off her claim against the college for harassment, race discrimination, victimisation, negligence and breach of contract at Central London County Court.

Miss Jibowu, of Lambeth, south London, sought £5.5 million in damages for loss of career earnings, injury to feelings and reputation and punitive damages.

In legal papers submitted to the court she said: ‘All of the alleged racists are now practising as doctors in the NHS.

‘This ingrains the problem of institutional racism within the medical practice.

‘They were not interviewed.

‘At no point has the college accepted that it was at fault for allowing an institutionally racist and victimising, hostile studying environment to exist.’

Miss Jibowu's mother Anne Giwa-Amu gave evidence of her daughter's college ordeal.

Miss Jibowu says she was forced to enrol on the college's six year extended medical degree course for students from disadvantaged backgrounds in September 2002.

She says that students on that course had to wear a special badge, which led to them being bullied by counterparts on the regular five year degree programme.

Company director Ms Giwa-Amu said: ‘She was devastated when she discovered that she was being unfairly sidelined on an experimental course because she was at Lambeth College.

‘Virginia told me that she was being subjected to racial harassment by groups of students at King's College.

‘She tolerated it in order to fulfil her ambition of qualifying as a medical doctor.’ During clinical groups, Miss Jibowu was warned to expect casual racism from staff and patients and told to ‘grin and bear it’, the court heard.

On a hospital placement in Hastings in 2006, a woman student allegedly suggested introducing a virus in Africa to ‘kill off the Africans’ so that the whites ‘could move in’.

Ms Giwa-Amu said: ‘I was horrified that a person with such extreme views would be on the medical programme.’ The court heard that Miss Jibowu's male clinical partner bullied her.

dasparrow:
Cap28,

Long time. How are you?

Thanks for the article. You see, some of our people who live in the USA are busy running their mouth. They don't realize that when push comes to shove, even those who were born and raised in America to African parents will feel the heat. I see many of them come on Nairaland to cuss Nigerians out and I laugh. I was also born in the west and spent a greater part of my life there but I am not ignorant of the fact that when the chips are down, even if you were born and raised in the west, that would not matter to the whites as long as one has African parents or is black. You can see what this teenage football player is now going through despite being born and raised in USA. Whites don't even like their fellow citizens who are black from slavery descent much less those who are Africans or born to African parents. I feel for Africans currently living in USA. Whew, are they in for a bumpy ride. Most Americans are born bigots so I can imagine how they would use this ebola incidence as a license to discriminate. Thank God my family encouraged me to leave USA back then so that I can take part in NYSC.
I am very well thank you bros, hope you are keeping well and I agree with everything you've posted.
I've been closely monitoring this ebola pandemic and I knew that it would just be a matter of time before the backlash against west Africans (or any Africans for that matter) living in the west would start. Just the other day a Liberian man who works in the US fell sick with flu and was asked not to come into work by his supervisors as his co workers suspected that his cold might be Ebola:

Liberian man told to stay away from work for Ebola concern

Reported by Anthony Miller

WRENTHAM, Mass. (WHDH) - A Liberian man in Wrentham says he has been told not to come to work because of Ebola concerns.

Kevin Makor works at the Wrentham Developmental Center, he says he's recently come down with a common cold, but because of a chain of events his coworkers are concerned.

"Whenever the weather changes I always get a cold,” he said. “It's kind of hard right now."

Makor's cousin ONeal also works at the center, he recently missed a few weeks of work due to a car accident, but rumors spread that he went home to Africa.

Soon after Makor says he caught a cold, but on Wednesday went to work anyway.

The next day, he says he got a call from his supervisor.

"He said somebody made an anonymous call and told the campus police that Kevin has been in contact with someone who traveled to Africa lately and he's showing signs of Ebola,” he said.

Makor says neither he, nor anyone in his family has been to Liberia as of late.

He says his supervisor told him to stay home until he got a doctor's note clearing him of the deadly disease.

"I'm Liberian and if I go to any doctor right now and ask a question like that there would be concern,” he said.

The Wrentham Developmental Center is a facility that houses the developmentally disabled, Makor says understands taking precautions, but says this is too much.

"It makes you kind of feel isolated, it makes you feel like there's some form of discrimination."

The center has not commented on this situation

Save their citizens so that they can keep reproducing babies that live in the mud and starve.
Alphonse Dee, Surfside, United States, 36 minutes ago

What exactly is the Liberian government and the other two similarly afflicted doing about this problem and what has it done in the past 20 years to improve sanitation within its borders? Or, are those subjects "off-base" and not to be questioned?
Phil711, Luton, United Kingdom, 6 minutes ago

Nothing, they plan this, they know that we have to step in when it spreads and we have to use our resources and money to help them while they can sit back and do nothing, that simple really, they know what their doing and British, Americans, and French and being taken as mugs

I believe now with the unbecoming a global problem. much more research funding will be allocated to the treatment of Ebola. I'm sorry help is comings late, I admire the media and this dignified President.

Do people who are so backwards they fear help, really worth any trouble on our part We are talking about the direct defendants of the very ones who sold their own people into slavery for two hundred years. That's right folks, look it up. These backward places are just going to risk healthy American lives to save people too s$

We do have a stake in the Ebola crisis, but she and her country won't like the appropriate solution, as it would leave that country a smoldering mess.

Ebola Chants in Racist Attack on African Football Player in Pennsylvania

By Dominic Gover
October 16, 2014 16:53 BST

Football player Ibrahim Toumkara, 16, was tormented during a school match when rival players directed "Ebola" chants toward him.

The incident took place in the US state of Pennsylvania. The Nazareth School teenager was "left in tears" when players for Northampton district school shouted "Ebola" at him.

Toumkara's mother and father are in Guinea, which is one of the West African countries in the grips of the Ebola outbreak,

The spread of Ebola from West Africa has caused alarm, with with cases emerging in the United States amid mounting concerns at the slow response by the international community.

Being tormented with Ebola chants was enormously distressing, said police: "There were tears coming down his eyes. He was visibly shaken by this; that it got to that level on the field."

Outcry over the event led to the resignations of Northampton's coach and assistant
Speaking to local media, Toumkara said: "I'm really disappointed in the outcome — that things came down to what they did in the end."
