Until Maguire and Lindelof are booted out of that defence we will not achieve anything. Ole is doing favouritism. Martial, Lindelof, Maguire and Fred should not be starting for any seriuos team

A 4-3-3 with 2 attacking midfielders will allow for more creativity and flexibility of play which is the major problem England suffers repeatedly in tournaments i.e one dimensional play.

However i suspect Southgate will be cautious and rather use a double pivot of Rice and Henderson thereby stifling their creativity.

Yeah I will start the same formation if I am playing 4-3-3 and with Foden and Maddison there is enough creativity.

Although i think Southgate is not that adventurous and wont go gong ho, so might want to replicate his World Cup formation, 3-5-2 especially with the defensive liability of the likes of TAA. May be I see AWB or Walker joining Maguire and Stones at the CB to free TAA/Trippier/Shaw/Chilwell.
