I like this humiliate these useless mofos. Last season when we played them at old Trafford with UCL on the line, they injured Shaw we substituted him for Williams they injured him a again leaving us with 10 men, they attacked us with venom like say na cup finals and equalised and were celebrating like people wey win world cup. At that time they are not playing for anything. |

ChristineC: I think Ole should pick a pairing at CB and stick with it in all league games. Bailly-Maguire will be my choice. Tuanzebe-Lindelof should get the europa games.
take Martial out of the line of fire and start Pogba as a float in Martial's position for now return Greenwood as a sub also.
Diallo will be in the team for this weekend, hopefully we see him at some point. Lol. You are calling for a certain exit. |

Are you aware that Bruno had a free role today, while Pogba played right beside Matic. I was expecting OGS to play just one DM today, so we could bombard Sheffield, but what do I know? Lol. Expert17: Did you see Pogba in the 2nd half??
Bruno created two clear chances for Greenwood, but he wasted it........ I was shocked by that TBH. Bruno was really creating chances and was everywhere, his ball were bad at times but he was our best attacking oultlet. |

odizeey: I said best midfielder.
Which promising positions? Did Bruno not lose the ball?
Pogba fell back in this game. Bruno that was handing the opponent the ball in almost all his forward pass, if not all.
Pogba did not do terrible in this game the way you guys are painting. His passes were even hitting the attackers well. Dude Bruno was better than Pogba in this game. I am not someone of bias. Pogba was extremely awful in this game, 1000 times he delayed the ball and was showbaoting. Bruno was still finding spaces and connecting teammates and in that midfield he seem to be the only one who is assed. You have set so much high standards for Bruno so when he has an average game you think he is terrible. |

odizeey: I just dey look many of them. Pogba was our best midfielder in this game. No cap. By a mile. Pogba our best player? What game are you watching? Pogba was very very very very terrible. Shiwmanship and lackadaisical attitude through out the match, delay his passes, making needless flicks and slowing down play. I cant count the number of times he lost possession in promising positions. |

DDG - Awful performance, I keep saying that for an experienced member of the team, some of the things he does are unacceptable. 1/10.
AWB- Tried to move forward at times but his final third ball is always way off. Didnt put a foot wrong in defence. 4/10.
Maguire- Scored and initiated some attacking moves, but could not command thr defence properly. Was among those at fault for the second goal. 4/10.
Tuanzebe- Not good enough at this level, not just good enough. Championship level player. Very terrible player, very limited player. He should be shipped out immediately if Ole is sensible. 0/10
Telles- Anonymous in the first half, and his left back position was a high way. Grew into the game in the 2nd half, but not good enough. 3/10.
Pogba- very disgraceful performance, this is the pogba we have been seeing often in the last 5 years, very terrible attitude and drive. 1/10.
Bruno- Anonymous for long spells in the 1st half but started creating something in the 2nd half. He loses far too many possession and his final balls today are way off. 4/10.
Matic - Awful. Just Awful. how he was allowed to finish the match is a mystery.1/10.
Greenwood- Couldn't utilise Bruno’s ball very well, did had a good spell in the first half, but overall average performance. 5/10.
Rashford- good runs during the first half, Anonymous im the 2nd half. 5/10.
Martial- I like Martial, but he is awful. Top striking position should be one of our key targets. Martial is finished, i defend anymore. 0/10.
Ole: he has shown his naivety once more. No pattern, no game play, Awful and Couldn't motivate the boys. 1/10. |

afrodoc2: No one is saying it is cast in stone that City will win however we are not winning games convincingly. We can still compete and i hope we win but City's chances are higher IMO.
It is one thing to dig dip occasionally and win a game by 1 goal margin but it is another thing to keep winning most of your games by 1 goal margin. Sooner or later those 1 goal victories will turn into draws cos it is not sustainable to depend on such slim margins..
Our defence almost always concedes first and therefore can't keep a clean sheet and apart from Cavani and maybe Rashford our attackers are all off form. A defence that always concedes first needs an attack that scores 3-4 goals regularly if not banana go turn iron.
Also we have been lucky with injuries so far while other teams have been decimated. There are a couple of injuries that would hamstring us but hopefully our luck with injuries holds. Clearly City are favourites anybody disputing that is not realistic. In the case of our defence, they clearly need a reality check or it will cost us, but Ole can change that by charging them to be more focused in the beginning of the matches, notice that we never concede these first goals against top teams, thats might be a case of over confidence and could be addressed, our defence is shaky though. Most competitions are won with Luck, and while its very likely that those close wins could turn to draws, the winning margin could also improve too. For 2 seasons Liverpool had no significant injuries we could be the lucky team this year. Is it me or we tend to met teams when they are mostly in form,? for example wolves and Newcastle are in dire form now, but we might meet them when they turn a corner. These things are luck and we can be lucky u know. In the case of our forwards, lets pray Greenwood and Martial turn a corner to compliment Cavani and Rashford, those single goal wins could grow a bit bigger. Greenwood looks sharp against Liverpool last time, Ole noticed and quickly removed him not to put much pressure on him. City could hit a rough patch. Their February fixtures is very tasty and they meet in form Monchenglabach, in UCL, City might need a strong 2nd leg to see them through, this could make them easy pickings for their next opponents in the league even if its the likes of West ham, Soton or even Leeds at Etihad who dont have any other commitments. City are favourites but lets keep our fingers crossed and watch while still winning our winnable games. |

timay: Man City beat a shitty westbrom that got hammered by Leeds and Arsenal, all of a sudden we can't compete with Man City for the title. Someone even implied that westbrom have good bus packing team because Alladyce is their coach. A team that is being sliced left and right by mid table teams. Like seriously?
City will drop points, make una no worry. We also will drop points too but these one una dey talk as if they'll run away with the title is funny. No one is running away with anything. The winner of this season's league will probably be with less than 85 points. It will be very close.
I repeat. NO TEAM IS RUNNING AWAY WITH THE LEAGUE. We will be doing pendulum movement till the last day of the season.
City playing beautiful football recently is inconsequential. Even when they were not getting result in the past, they were still playing beautiful football. It has always been their way.
Finally, I believe the team with more luck on their side will win the league. Thank you boss. That was how they hyped Liverpool and Chelsea, we keep telling them that Liverpool have clear deficiencies they shouted us down, that we cant compete with them. Watch City against Covid rusted Villa, they nearly would have drew that match, there was no much difference between how we won Villa and how they did even when the side they played were not on top form. West brom is clearly a very mediocre team that leeds and Arsenal took turns to hammer. This same City destroyed Burnley 5-0 sometime this season when they were not in form. I understand that they are very good at the moment, but they would soon run out of steam when games begin to come thick and fast. Outside that their first Eleven every other of their bench players are below average or out of form. They might well win, but its not cast on stone. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by CapitalCee(m): 8:27am On Jan 27, 2021 |
patrickmuf: We will also drop points...
At this point, the team that us more consistent will edge it... Definitely, we have some tough away games. But so will City believe me. Mark this post, I know exactly what I am saying. The league is a marathon not a sprint. Its dynamic. Arsenal for example are now ahead of Chelsea in the table and 4 points behind Liverpool albeit having played one more game. One month ago that looked unthinkable. A lot will change in the coming months just wait a see. |
