Oasis007:You just literally repeat what I said with a little dampener. My expectations are not high, I was among those who still maintained that a point at Anfield was a good one, A title race alone is a progress, even if we didnt win it. However, football is dynamic and it's not mathematics. When I and some others were predicting and hoping for a Liverpool slump here, we were shouted down, that its impossible, now what is happening? We can go 9 points ahead of them this evening. If anyone told you that we will be 11and 6 points ahead of Chelsea and Liverpool respectively by this time will you agree? Considering the type of TW and early season form we had, we just have to keep plugging away and amassing important points as if we are fighting for the title and see what happens. I still strongly believe that city will drop points. UCL and FA cup games are coming up and they still have Carabao cup final with spurs, their fixture list will be congested, their depth was tested at the weekend when they reshuffled the park vs Cheltenham and nearly lost, they had to bring in 5 substitute of their key players to turn it around. remove any 2 of Gundogan, Dias, Stones , they will be very beatable, Look at their match against a rusty villa at home, while they dominated, they required a mistake and a dodgy offside call to win, they could have easily drwn that match. They still have Everton, Villa, Arsenal, Liverpool and Leicester away and United, Chelsea and Spurs at home. You cant tell me that if they have a UCL quarter finals versus say Juve, Barca or Bayern sandwiching their games away to Arsenal, and LC finals to Spurs, same set of players will win all the matches? I dont think so. If they go ahead to win all or most of their matches, then they deserve it, coming 2nd or even 3rd behind won't be bad. The idea is win your matches and watch. Its possible. For me a title challenge and 2nd or 3rd plus a nice cup run will signify a good season Considering where we were coming from. |
Yes City is in form but this same West brom were hammered 5-0 and 4-0 by leeds and Arsenal. We are just halfway through the season. They will surely drop points. If we can win all our remaining home games and win the away games we can are expected to win, avoid defeat against City we can just edge it. When Liverpool won Spurs and beat Palace 7-0, everybody declared them champions, there could be a twist, we just need to continue plugging away and hope for the best. Even if we didn't win it, a title race signifies progress. Our Home Matches : Southampton, Everton, Brighton, Sheffield United, West ham, Leicester, Liverpool, Fulham, Burnley and Newcastle. Who said we cant win these matches? Away games: Arsenal, Chelsea, City, Spurs, Villa, Wolves, West brom, Leeds, Palace. We can draw or win the first 5 and draw the last four. Its possible |
Kelvinsteve1000:Even if he misses the next 2 games no wahala. I was afraid he will be out for long. |
Nezzjnr:When i was telling people that that one is not a United fan they thought i was just blabbling. We all the know the person behind that handle. No real united fan behave that way |
afrodoc2:Thank you Doc. Fans are are joining pure haters to denigrate our players who they hate. This has been happening over the years to players like Ronaldo, Rooney and RVN. They have started it with Bruno but Bruno na tank him go just settle you with Ls sharp sharp. Even this season that people are saying he has dropped, i find it very ridiculous, apart from one or two gamez where he is a bit off colour, his touches, ball control and game management has been okish even for a 19 year old. But some people go just join haters de overeact for nothing. I know his behaviour has been suspect recently but i mean he is still a teenager and will misbehave sometimes and make mistakes, Solskjaer is the right person to guide and manage him. I also saw Cavani teaching him some skills ansd techniques on the pitch yesterday, thats a glorious sight to behold, so he is in good hands, there are pure professionals like Bruno, DDG, Cavani, Matic and even Rashford in the dressing room to learn from. |
patrickmuf:I was shocked too by his age. Then i realised that he went to 2014 WC as a 19 year old when he was still at Soton. But Blimey!!! Luke Shaw has been one of our best players this season . He is definitely in line with Cancelo as the best full backs in EPL this season. Yes he has outperformed Robertson this season |
Maguire and Lindelof will not kill person. Any day they didnt sent someone for BP medications after every match will heaven fall? |
Luke Shaw. Jezus Christ the guy just like a new signing. Cant believe he is just 25. |
- Nobody is praising Greenwood now for a goal and assist. Look at the way he scored even with Robertson shouting to put him off. And people are forgetting he is just 19 |
They said Bruno doesn't perform against big teams lol. |
No be for Ole to summon Bruno make baba come settle this match like this? |
Maguire, AWB and Linda competing on who will be the clown of the match |
NextD18:Dont mind him. Willian should be compared to Son, Rashford, Salah, Mane and Sterling. |
Ibime:Willian is a complete attacker/winger in the mold of Rashford, Salah, Mane, Son and Sterling. That he is delivering poverty numbers does not suddenly make him an AM |
NextD18:Dont mind them. Chelsea know how to troll good players from other teams, according to them Mata, Matic and Fred are flops but they spent almost 200 million Euros on Bakayoko, Drinkwater and Fraudvertz even when some lady goes for negattions with no pantsz |
Ibime:I will gladly accept your congratulations |
Ibime:The bolded is a good return for a midfielder He scored against Leicester when the season they were champions and the season after that. The year he scored against Arsenal Wenger was still the Manager. You still have not mentioned to me midfielders who has better records against big teams. Apart from may KDB. |
This season. Mata 656 mins 2 goals 3 assists. Ziyech 774 mins 2 goals 3 assists. Pulisic 1054 mins 2 goals 0 assists. |
Ibime:Mata has scored 17 G/A and Assists against Liverpool, Chelsea, Leicester, Arsenal, Juventus and City. All in EPL or Champions league. Count for me any midfielder in EPL with such record. He also scored in FA cup finals. Starting all the Cup finals since he came |
Ibime:Mata has scored 17 G/A and Assists against Liverpool, Chelsea, Leicester, Arsenal, Juventus and City. All in EPL or Champions league. Count for me any midfielder in EPL with such record. |
OJURONGBE1:No he should continue na. He said mata has been poor in man u, that has been totally been debunked. He said Mata was inconsequential in chelsea but won pkayer of the season the 2 seasons he was in Chelsea. He said mata stat pads against small teams and failed to do anything against rubust teams. But he has contributed more goals against big teams that almost all the midfielders in EPL since he arrived man u. All his accusations were all baseless and lacked merit |
Ibime:Constant benching? Causing instability? Underperformance and underperformance against rubust teams? Mata only became bit part player in Man U since Mourinho arrived and you know the reason, how on earth is he causing instability in our midfield? Mata vs Big teams since he came to Man U. Liverpool 3 goals 2 assists. Man city 2 goals 1 assists. Arsenal. 1 goal. Chelsea. 1 goal 1 assist. Juventus 1 goal. Thats 11 goals contributions. Not counting the 4 goals 2 assists versus Leicester. Tell me any chelsea midfielder in that time with such records Mata scored an equaliser against Palace in 2016 FA cup finals to take the game to extra time. He has started all Cup finals since he came to man united, So what are you saying? |
NextD18:He clearly doesn't like Mata. Dont mind him, his claims are very baseless. Since Mata came to Man U in 2014. No midfielder in Chelsea has contributed more goals and Assist than him. |
Ibime:Thats in your dream, as you cannot back up your claims on anything. Mata is loved by everyone in United and has scored important goals. |
Ibime:Where did you get this from? You have made a very incorrect comment. Mata started all cup finals for Man U since he arrived and was the Midfielder who has the highest G/A ratio in the EPL since he came to Man U, even higher than D.Silva. Bruno must have since bettered that. So how is he a Flop? If Mata is a flop and nonentity at Man then eveey single chelsea Midfielder is a flop since he left. |
raumdeuter:Mata scored the decisive away goal versus Napoli, and assisted in the final thats his role. Ballack missed a sitter in the final and was not effective. You are blaming terry that kept Chelsea in the game. If Ballack had kept his shots on target and did not drift in and out of games, perhaps he would have won UCL
|
airmark:Yeah when its Balkack its not a team effort like he dragged Leverkusen and Germany, or when he was blaming Terry for Ballack failure to win UCL. But for Mata and Wijnaldum they are inconsequential even when they played vital roles in thier teams victory |
raumdeuter:If Ballack had scored the sitter he missed there wont be penalty shoutout. Chelsea wins. If Mata had miscued his assist no penalty shootout Chelsea loses. These are the things you fail to account for. The most important thing here is that Mata was decisive to his team victory, Ballack was not. You can wriggle out of this one |
raumdeuter:Amalanomics see as you are disecting Mata, Rooney only scored 1 goal in knockout stages of 2008 , so he is useless abi? Messi did not score in 2014 world cup knockout but was the player of the tournament, very soon you will soon say he only scored in the 2nd half of games. The fact is that among the midfielders in Chelsea he was the most decisive. 5 G/A for Midfielder including an assist in final is not inconsequential. |
raumdeuter:You are only looking at fine margins because it doesn't siut your narrative. You forgot to mention that Terry kept Chelsea in the game with a goal bound clearance from Giggs, while Ballack missed a Sitter to give Chelsea the lead. Mata assist was very decisive in helping his team to victory, so are you going to say Ronaldo's goal waz inconsequential because he missed penalty? |
Ibime:He was inconsequential but scored 2 and assisted 3 goals including 1 in the final. He was infact Chelsea's player of the season. What an inconsequential player he must be. Agenda must agend na |
raumdeuter:How can you say this dayo. Mata was Chelsea player of the season in 2012. He scored 2 goals and assisted 3 including 1 in the final. Nawa for you oo |
