Few weeks ago I was sceptical of Lindelof, but I prayed he prove me wrong and he is doing that now, I was happy but I accepted I judged him too early.
Most people here are just whinners, they only come here to complain, and blame players, but you will never see them praise any body for great performance, those are the people I have issues with not you.
Few days ago I had an argument with someone I couldn't even remember, he said spurs, pool and Chelsea will overtake us on the strength of playing "better football " this is just because we won ooo 1-0 versus Brighton( this is the first time this season apart from spurs game we are scoring 1 at home).
These are the naysayers not you, if you want to join them well na you know.

Playing better football is different from playing entertaining football.

There are a few elements in "better football". missing in entertaining football.

During Fergies era, man u played better football than arsenal that's why we won far more trophies especially the league than they did with their nonsense entertaining football that consistently made them struggle to qualify for UCL.

United have won only 1 home match 1-0 with majority others being a 4 goal feast.
Spurs have won by 1-0 3 times drawing 0-0 once. Liverpool have also recorded 1-0 home victory versus crystal palace.
I wonder who among the above narrative plays better football.
Talking about effective, i think the team on top of the table is more effective.
For me the better football is that football that gets results for me, not the one that appease the hating media.

The only game Mou lost at OT was to City. Although both teams have improved since then, I won't be surprised if City best us at OT again this season. The outcome of that match is so unpredictable. If City win theyre closer to the title. If we win there's hope for us.

But I agree one thing Mou needs to work on is our away record. We haven't been strong away from home since SAF left. It's like the players become intimidated and switch off. Other top 5 teams arguably have a better away record than we do.

Mourinho has lost just one game at Old trafford in close to 2 years now, Chelsea have lost two already at home this season including a team like Burnley at home, so it's more of a habit for Chelsea to lose at home than United. So it will be easier for City to beat chelsae at home than United. Chelsea seem to have a better record than united away from home.

To your second question, they have played the better football and it's only a matter of time before it's reflected on the epl table, we still have Arsenal and City to play...I mentioned them to highlight the impact of Poch, Conte and Klopp on their play...

Nobody expect Valencia to finish above madrid, or spurs to knock them out, same way no one expect Watford to finish above arsenal. The gulf in class and statue between Madird and Valencia is not same with Chelsea and united. United is a bigger team than Chelsea so being ahead of them, though they may go down at some point, should not be sneered at. playing "better football" as you term it does not put points on the table, result does. Wenger played better football than fergie but fergie won 10 EPLs 2 champions league.
