it is not personal glory na. When Bruno scores wont it be counted for the team? Bruno helpss the Midfiled but he needs to do his primary responsibility which is score or assist. Ole have given him that responsibility and that's what he will be judged with not covering up for Fred inability to control ball under no pressure

Moutinho and Neves were able to dominate the midfield yesterday because they had little defensive responsibility no thanks to Bruno abandoning his role in our set up. If Bruno was positionally disciplined yesterday, one of Moutinho or Neves would have had to sit deep to defend against him but no, Bruno was playing more as a striker. Greenwood will take it because he is a young lad but Ronaldo won't tolerate it. Bruno should focus on his primary responsibility of linking the midfield and attack...He can still score or assist from there though his numbers will drop but it will be for the overall good of the team.

If Bruno had occupied that position illustrated above, no way will Neves and Mourinho have the freedom to dictate the play. Bruno left that position and it became a 2 vs 2 midfield battle when in all honesty it was supposed to be 2 vs 3 in midfield.

So Pogba and Fred cant engage Moutinho and Neves to allow Bruno to attack? Are we Burnley? So how are we supposed to scored if all we do is midfield battle royale, who are Neves and Moutinho? However we will be fine when we realize that players are not forbidden to drop into the midfield to steady the ship as it benefits everyone including this star player. Let him be running after imaginary balls in the opposition box when Pogba that should supply him is not finding space

My brother, Pogba is finding it difficult becuase Fred was like Wolves 12th man, he cant find his man, he is clumsy, he is poor on the ball and cant control a bag of cement, and surprisingly he is being dribbled every single time. Put Kante or Carrick there Pogba will flourish ala France. Like I said before we need a goal and Bruno us desperate for that he is our go-to-man, you cant deny that Bruno is a team player. This is wolves oo not Barca or Bayern, we simply need to score and Bruno also have to engage their CBs to discourage them from joining the attack. As good as Greenwood is, he is still inexperienced and leaving him at the mercy of Wolves 3 CBs will not work.

Bruno doesn't take corner kicks, and he rarely takes far distance freekicks shaw takes most, the only free kick he takes are ones he has a chance of converting from close range, its only penalties that boasts his G/A stats from setplays. He is the best in both close range FKs and PKs, so how is that a negative for him.

If Patrick is saying Bruno should tone down his hunger for his G/A number to help out in midfield fine, and it is in good faith. You are sounding as if Bruno is a passenger and those his contributions are worthless, when infact we are having this conversation because those saddled with the responsibility of holding their forth in Midfield failed in their duty. In 10/11 Season it was Carrick and Giggs that held the Midfiled for most of the season with aplomb, no one is slandering Rooney's G/A record, because Bruno is occupying the Rooneyesque position.

In France Pogba is flourishing because Kante is a tank and he is good on the ball, alowwing Greizman to join the attack and drop deep occasionally, thats exactly what Ole asked Bruno to do. Trincao and Traore especially got tired in the 2nd half as well and that allowed us some space to breath. Another thing was AWB giving Traore some breathing space rather than rushing towards him rashly like he was doing in the first half.

Traore prefers you to rush him or close mark him so he can roll you or outmuscle you and then leave you behind. That is why i liked the way Varane was holding him off and marking the space rather than rushing to make a tackle.

Varane is a world class defender

What exactly is Bruno's role in the midfield?

Bruno is an ultra attacking midfielder, there are already 4 defenders and a double pivot already, remember James was there to track Traore, even Ole confirmed it. We are left with Greenwood, sancho and Bruno to press wolves and find a goal and the team needs goal, why will Bruno drop back to join the midfield combat? Are we playing for a 0-0? Even Sancho had an offday and Greenwood is only a boy, Bruno must chop that space between the wolves CB to score, and he nearly did. The issue is Pogba was not combative and disciplined enough to cover for Fred clumsiness. I know you will say i am trying to make excuses for Bruno, but Bruno was like the CF/SS in that match and at 0-0 he is the person Ole is banking on to fashion out a goal, i dont see why Neves/Moutinho should overun Fred and Pogba that Bruno must have to come and help them. Mctominay will bravely engage them easily to a stand still.

Pogba could not get a foothold on the midfield however, he cannot account for a launched clearance from wolves which Fred could not control under absolutely no pressure, he simply cannot find his man, he cant recieve any ball passed to him, he was out of sync with the game entirely, ok mark kwanu, no way Neves and Moutinho were running rings over him, bypassing him like he os not there. I am not exonerating others of blame but Pogba recieves balls finds his man well and better even under pressure. For example Our game Vs Villareal it was Pogba/Mctominay pivot, they did not overunn our midfield infact Mctominay was our MOTM.
