He didn't play badly today in my opinion. He kept the ball well and moved the ball quickly. Our play was more fluid with Matic and him compared to when Pogba and Fred came on.

Matic though is still the only no 6 we have at the club. We need a CDM badly. Pogba, VDB, Fred, McTom are all no 8s and Garner is not ready.

He did play badly today. But he is too basic, a top club should not depend on basic simple pass CMs. Not adventurous for me. Even Matic in DM was finding passes and holes more than him.

It's not so simple. You want to keep a supposedly good player, although sometimes out of desperation. It takes an incredible amount of patience not to ever come to the point of desperation. You don't want to let him go and then regret, as we did when we let him go the first time, at least retrospectively. Now that's me being straightforward. Personally, I think that man is overrated and should have been offloaded a long time ago. Coupled with the fact that his agent is an embodiment of drama, the writing on the wall was very clear.
