emperormero:Amen |
emperormero:I actually used "maybe" because I didn't really understand your position. But I really apprecaite your efforts in explaining that. Now I understand better. I will advise that you try to get any contact (Ibadan resident) available or make one (preferably a candidate like us) who can help you check it. The process isn't stressful at all, and the PG staff are ready to help. I would have helped check for you if we had discussed this earlier today. God will crown our efforts with success. |
emperormero:In his question, he mentioned "in UI", meaning he could visit the school. So I answered with respect to that phrase. Maybe you're trying to point out a fault in my answer, but I think such would discourage people from offering their little assistance here (that was the little help I could render, and I did so in good fate). Concerning those not in Ibadan, I was at the PG school today, and I was able to help a few friends make enquiries (which I believe a lot of people are doing to help others out). Or why are we having this kind of forum, if not to help one another. |
cjeriia:For the transcript, visit the PG school, go to room C3 and tell them your request. You will be directed to the next room for checking. About the departmental exam, you can visit the department the same day to ask any available staff member. |
Parkac:That's very true, we all are not the same. May God not make our HOPES unproductive. |
eightsin: Parkac: eightsin:Concise but reasonable posts. That's one of the reasons some people can't get good jobs (inability to endure situations). If he saw joblessness as a reason to die, what would have happened if he survived and at the right stage, gave birth in life, and had to cater for his family's needs on daily basis? Even employed people are faced with several situations, so are we who come here to read this post. I believe majority of us who commented on this post visited this section in search of good jobs. We aren't better than him, but the HOPE keeps everyone going in life. My dad tells me each time I'm pensive: "a man who kills himself out of frustration is a VERY selfish person because he obviously thinks about himself alone, and his death would give his people more problems". The situation may be bad, but no one should give up on God, as we all have our own appointed times. I pity his people. |

Olarewajub:thanks for thinning out the options nahcee:Good day ma. it's good you've made a choice. swishing you all the best in your career |
Career is a life-long process, and it is to be built. Most people who end up regretting their choice of course (after being rejected by their choice departments, and adopted by a seemingly less prestigious department) are usually those who couldn't meet up with their target grade/class of degree, which would have been a good compensation for the earlier loss. I believe you can build your career in the medical field with a good foundation in this microbiology if you set a target and end up being close to or hitting the target. Good enough, you're young (and appear to have a big dream going by your post), so you have enough time to build the career up to and beyond your dreams/goals. I hope the following options would broaden your knowledge about how to achieve this. 1. You may choose to have a first degree in Microbiology (should be 4yrs under normal academic conditions), then apply for Direct Entry into 200L Medicine......through DE, your chances of getting admitted to study Medicine are very high in several universities. 2. You may obtain your first degree in Microbiology, and obtain your MSc or other higher degrees in Public Health Epidemiology, which is a highly sought after profession especially in a continent such as Africa. 3. You may commence your studies as a student of Microbiology, then apply for a change of course after your 100L. 4. You may obtain another UTME form, so as to seek another admission next session. Majority of experienced people (graduates, undergraduates, lecturers) would tell sincerely tell you that your chances of successfully getting a change of course are very low (this is not about your capacity, but about the policies and need to cut down on the existing medicine students as the universities now use Quota system). Option 4 is not advisable as well, because from experience, students end up performing extremely woefully in their year 1, and more often they fail to het admitted through the new UTME application. This implies they have to continue with their studies on the poor academic background. In summary, accept your admission first, and give it all your best.....a bird at hand,.... |
temmythorpee:I'm sorry for responding late, my brother. I'm just seeing your request. I couldn't get any past question at last. But I'll advice you read all options, since it's general MCB. hope that helps sir |
kalan:Thanks a lot bro. I tried all, the additional referee wasn't accepted, and the documents weren't accepted as well, even at less than 120kb. I followed the instructions on your site for the past questions, but I keep getting updates, and no contact. |
kalan:Good day bro. I have some questions to ask. 1) I have been unable to add more referees to the only one I filled in, and I believe there must be 3 referees as usual in all academic applications. 2) I tried adding my SSCE and NYSC discharge certificates, but was getting the error message "index excess array". 3) Do you have past questions for Microbiology (MSc), and what years are included? I will appreciate your explanation on these. Thanks |
kalan:Good day sir. Can I obtain Microbiology past questions from you? How many years do you have? |
damiflex:thank you bro. I did, but it kept on giving the notification "index exceeds array". this means it cannot accept it. likewise the referees page, I couldn't add more than one. the same notification as well. I await your response sir |
Good day all. Can anyone help, I've been unable to add more referees to the only one I filled in. Also, there is no indication of where to add my NYSC discharge certificate or SSCE. Your urgent help is required. Thank you. |
NifemiOlu:Thank you for your explanation and time. Observing the events unfolding on daily basis |
NifemiOlu:Thank you for your quick response. But I understand you to mean if an applicant is not recommended by their department, they have automatically forfeited admission, since it is the department that makes the decision before forwarding to the PG school as you explained. The reason for my thought is: admission status for everyone was "no admission offered yet". so if some are updated to "not recommended", it seems the decision by the department has already been reached about the applicant. I patiently await your response, thank you. |
NifemiOlu: For those awaiting transcript upload and awaiting admission. There are 2 facts you need to know:what of those with "not recommended" on their admission status, while their transcripts are yet to be received? |
mcatho: no one has bn formally offered admission yet... Fast n pray Joy83: Are you sureBy now, majority of the departments would have compiled their admission lists, but the process involved in officially offering admission is not direct. That's why the poster used the word "formally". |
Iykestan: Press and hold down Home (round button center bottom)thanks a lot my bro. I just tried it now, and it worked. God bless you for the help. |

i think people(such as DESOLA) who av opinions contrary to the majority's or opinions likely to be misinterpreted on issues like this should just keep quiet and watch. it's wiser that way.....though it's funny most of us commentin on this post didn't bother readin d post, while some are misinterpretin the message... |
@OP. I've searched for the app several times too, but never got a positive result. it seems there's no version for windows OS. but if you have javafx, i'll advise you download the java version, though that depends on what version(touchscreen or keypad) and whether your phone has keypads or not. |
