Good morning everyone. Congratulations to all who got their visa approved recently.

I need some help. I have been filling my DS160 form for about 2 days, and it is not proceeding beyond the work and education history. It keeps returning me to the home page after filling in all the information on that page. My question is: what browser is not capable? I use safari, chrome, opera browsers on laptop and tab. I saw the browser requirements on the homepage, but my internet explorer is not doing the job either.

Another confirmation. Thank you brother. It's good we now know there is a lot of search to be done. Others awaiting the form I-20 can start making provision before it arrives. A stitch in time,....

I checked the WU website 2 nights ago, and with the results I obtained, I visited a number of Firstbank branches (4 Or 5) showing quickpay service on the website. None has it. I will be visiting WU offices to today.

I don't know if they'll give you a different response but brother I was there yesterday and no show. I started arguing with the guy that someone did quick pay at their branch and he was looking at me with utmost surprise that it can't be done in Nigeria. I still dey look for that babe wey say she pay for First bank VGC gate. Good luck.

Thank you very much my brother. I just dropped amessage for a friend to help check at the branch, but I don't think there's anything more convincing that what you have said. If the person in charge could answer with such assurance, the best thing is to keep hoping on getting someone to do it outside the country. It is just unfortunate that most people you'll contact in the US are busy or something.

It is always good to check our spam or junks at least twice in week because some important messages goes there at times

Sorry for the troubles. I'm not used to the PM messaging. On discovering it goes directly into the email, I had to change my email to the current one, after I discovered I wasn't getting a reply and you probably would have sent one.

I check my 2 mails and all their folders at least three times daily. Kindly reply the third PM. The earlier ones were sent to my obsolete email. Thank you.

No complications at all..... all you need is for the names on the i20 and DOB to match the passport so the passport to the school doesnt have to match what you go with

This is relieving. I will proceed to the SEVIS fee payment and the rest while expecting the new passport.

No i dont really do SEVIS because i hardly need naira in exchange.... yes you can check with walspring or others

For passport there is a booklet shortage world wide for Nigerian passport so if i were you that what i will start working on. Find out where exactly has the booklet and how long it will take you to get a new passport asap

I have initiated the renewal of my passport today. But my major concern now is if I can proceed with a new passport when it is issued (two weeks max as guessed by the officers in NIS) for the rest of the process. I sent the bio page of my initial passport to the school for my I-20 arriving tomorrow. Is there not going to be a complication?

1. Western union quick pay is the commonly used method however in the past " Nigeria " western union did not have quick pay so it could not be done in Nigeria. This seek help is for someone abroad to help u pay mostly by WU...... recently someone mentioned a branch of 1st bank in lekki that now offers quick pay and hence sevis payment

3. U need at least 6 months date on ur passport to attend an F1 visa so also to travel so ideally may is 6months to Nov so you need new passport. Definitely to travel at least

4. You can print what you have but the tuition waiver amount will be on your i20 and that where the VO will be able to see and pick it up from. .... but u can carry any soft copy u have just for carrying sake

I really appreciate your concern and time spent answering. I am more educated by your explanation. I have started the re-issue process this morning. Do you help people with the WU SEVIS payment, or I should refer back to Walspring for this? I would want to complete the payment in about 40hrs from now latest. I will print all you mentioned.

1. No one is ignoring western union because that's what people helping to make payment have been using and payment will reflect less than 30 minutes or an hour after payment.

2. A random passport photograph can not be used because it has specification and size, It is not compulsory for you to dress cooperate what matter most in the passport photograph is for your face to show clearly then no shadow, with its actual size requirement which are very important things to be considered when taking the passport photograph

3. I suggest you renew your passport before going for interview because by June next month since it will be six months or less than six months old

4. Yes and any amount waived for you will also be written on your I20 as well. The school will/can send original copy included with your I20 or you print the one in your email in colored.

Good day everyone. I have been perusing this thread, and having learnt a lot of important tips from many selfless contributors, I have a few questions yet unanswered from the few pages I read. I am awaiting my I-20, expected to arrive this new week.

1. How reliable and efficient is the SEVIS fee payment through Western Union? I see everyone ignoring this option, and seeking help. why please?

2. How official must the filling if DS-160 form be? Especially with regards the passport photograph. Can a random passport be used, because the samples I have seen, people dressed corporate

3. With my passport with which I sent info across to my school for I-20 documentation expiring Nov 2017, should I go ahead with interview appointment this week, or I should renew first?

4. Must the admission letter and letter of tuition waiver offer to be taken along for the interview be the original letterhead from the school, or I can print the softcopies sent to me for this purpose?

I don't understand ur post. If the cut off mark is 100, then who would make that? There's a difference between overall mark and cut off mark. I don't really like the language you used (deceiving....I don't communicate with people impolitely), as I'm not even an applicant, but have people around me who are involved.

it is well.......to keep my hope high, I'll conclude that cut-off of each department vary......until I see a prospective ETPM applicant with aggregate of 50 and/or above.

That's the best assumption sir (at least from the statistics so far).

you're right and I believe. A friend scored 52 in philosophy department and I scored 37 in English department. All in faculty of Arts. I strongly believe you.

.....all in the same faculty. Thats the point.....the margin surprises is quite wide.

Please am having issues with this transcript of a thing, i sent someone to help me check if my transcript has been recieved at the pg school, the person said from the list he checked, he couldnt find my name. i called the DHL agent that sent it, he confirmed that it had been sent since November 7th, pls what do i do now? It would be more traceable if you get the tracking number from the DHL agent, so u can check the history and destination. But I believe your informant could have been in a haste while checking. I'm saying this because the register is for all applicants, meaning too many names and similarities to sort. If he could kindly give a second check (especially after obtaining the tracking number from DHL), that may give a different result. I won't forget to add to you should keep your at rest, all is well.
