BullBearMkt:Thank you very much for the clear explanation. It is very helpful. I just do not want to hold on to a position that will lose value so much that dividend yield over 4years may not be sufficient enough to counter price depreciation, or something unfavorable on the long term. With the breakdown you've provided, I think my instinct tells me to sell at above 3.10 if it rallies, or just try to raise some cash in case it dips to a bottom. Thank you oga @BullBearMkt, thank you oga @Tritri. God bless you both |
tritritri:Thank you very much oga @Tritri. I think by this you mean this hanging uncertainty respects no stock. I will take action at >=3.10, or just remain focused on my long term aim.....buy more at at a seeming bottom price. |
Capitas7:Please pardon if it sounds rude to copy specific members. I did so because they analysed for me in the past. I learn from everyone here, I welcome and apppreciate contributions from any kind member. Thank you. |
Hello everyone. Its obvious the bounce is putting smiles on our faces, even though the fear of the unknown makes the smile superficial. I need some technical advice on UCAP. I am currently on 20-22% loss, but I have long term plans for it (dividend yield is my major target). I have been trying to sell at least 30% of my holdings at N3.10 if possible, so I can have cash if it falls to as low as N2.70. And I'm thinking of diverting the funds into AFRIPRUD, if UCAP does not dip as I "speculate". Please note: I have refused to use stop loss in the past, and I ended up selling FBNH at N5 (on emergency need of cash) after buying at an overall average of N10.98 due to averaging down from about N13. Thank you all a small I anticipate your contributions. Cc. BullBearMkt, fxuser, currentprice, every kind member. |
CarGuideNG:We are all one as long as we choose to understand one another. All the best sir! ![]() |
CarGuideNG:Thank you very much. I have a couple of information about the car from the dealer. I will be visiting the dealer tomorrow. But I think DonnyT and Cosplay deserve a lot of credit for their selfless services here. If anyone would be paid for VIN checks on this tread, it should be them. It may not be nice to attract their clients (who are enjoying the freebies) to yourself without their permission (except it's the same person behind the monikers anyway). Do not get me wrong, comprehensive check is not done for free anywhere, I know that and you are doing a normal thing, but he who starts the bonanza should reap the profit. Thank you sir.

Good day DonnyT, Cosplay and other gurus here. God bless you for the selfless efforts. Kindly help me check this 3N1BC11E38L369761 |
mendes911: Am I the only person observing the kind of man Mendes is? He is just jovial and having his fun. Not even moved by the "stones". I don laff taya. |
The elders in this group seem to be on vacation or campaign trips this period. Please let us sheath our swords and keep doing what we are doing. Sarcasm, bitter truths, warnings, predictions, declarations of portfolio or status are all part of the fun here. From what I see before these recent tirades, members were just voicing out their opinions or plans, not recommending to or advising anyone to join them. We should also mind how we control our use of words. Maybe the next bear will be on Nairaland with bans flying up and down. I will not mention names, but i need to state that in the past, people have deactivated their accounts here because of misunderstandings or impersonation. We need to be our brothers' keeper. We will not be surprised to discover that people who fuel tirades don't have anything in their portfolio, not even cash. As someone said, Oga Loco sabi handle bear like anything. You won't even get him annoyed. Rather, he'll flow with your sarcasm and entertain you more. Some members here are known for their sarcasm in bear or bull season. Some of us would remember Dexterax and one elder who always speaks on parables. Where una put Oga BullBearMkt? |
fxuser:Good morning everyone. While trying to relate the quite misunderstood regular sarcasm of some members to the recent "stones" on one hand, and searching for some important information just before the bull that seems to have been sustained for an unusually long time on the other hand, I stumbled on this post made in Aug. 2017. God bless you Oga Fxuser. Everyone is the CEO of their portfolio, and we keep learning till the day we stop trading. The fun and sarcasim is good to read and follow, we are one family as Oga Ihedioramma would say. |
Yommievata:After your certificate and transcript are received at their end, they will send a request for verification of transcript to your former school. You may need to inform your school and initiate the reply/verification. Once your school verifies, WES would proceed to evaluate and send copies. Evaluation and sending to recipients are estimated to be completed writhing 3-4working days. |
femi312:This is enlightening. I have been assuming wrongly. I will do as advised. I really appreciate my oga. |
LagosismyHome:Thank you ma'am. I have followed the link. Very appropriate. A lot has to be done. I'm honored you even got the specific link for my school. May God continue to bless you. |
femi312:Thank you for the details. Very helpful. I am not familiar with the immunization form you mentioned. My school is ready to run my sponsor's pocket dry, but get behind me Satan, not when I have God and these beautiful people on Nairaland. I discovered the only option they accept is "elite" which is $2903 for 1yr, from the $2995 default school plan. No difference, but an advantage of paying monthly. Can you kindly help with information on how the immunization forma are generated? (I also think immunIzation is for students below 26yrs of age. how true?) Anyone's contribution would be appreciated. |
ProfOjah1234:I'll send the mail immediately my bro. I see you're a boss on this thread. I'm just a newly admitted student. |
biikeys:Thank you very much for the concern and help. My school provides the option of waiver if certain requirements are met, and I use those requirements as a guide. I'll check the ISOA you're suggesting and compare to International students insurance as suggested by Lagosismyhome. I love this humour of "faded glory jeans"....and I can't stop laughing. It's a very valid advice. How much does one love the tastes of roasted corn, boiled groundnut, ponmo, sugar-filled plantain chips? It's time to have a good fill with them. I've been eating roasted corn daily since the week after my interview, can't ignore beans and corn meal. Even if e dey USA, e no go get the coal flame flavour. Talking about waking up to greet many people - known and unknown, have an argument with one or two persons, see a live funny scene on the street or by the road, it's time to do these well as there's a slight change in social environment looming. My very dear brother has promised me fine jackets for the new weather as parting gifts. I don't wish anyone goes to a foreign land to spend what they earned the hard way in their motherland, all in the name of settling down. I'm beginning to settle down even before taking off. More of the advice/suggestions please, as many including me are learning from these. |
Mitchely:Yes, we need a lot of such before the thread is flooded with Spring applicants seeking help. I have been reading through that thread you mentioned too, but exchange rates are not the same again (lol) and as you said, it's not active. Congratulations @olarich30 and @Ndawe. Beautiful transcripts, less of traditional answers. All the best to other Fall and prospective Spring applicants. |
LagosismyHome:@Lagosismyhome. Responsive and quick as always. I really appreciate. "default nonsense" really cracked me up. I'll follow the link, and I believe this will help a lot of us here too. I'll be hopeful the school would accept it. Thanks a lot ma'am |
Good day house. Congratulations to everyone who has got their visa approved recently. I have these suggestions and questions: 1. I am observing that most applicants prefer other organizations apart from WES. I would advise that anyone confirms with their prospective school first, if they accept evaluation from the preferred organization. My school precisely advised me to use WES then, and I believe there were reasons. I know this issue has been treated here a number of times, but this is my contribution: If you're an OAU graduate, to verify your status to WES, you'll visit Rm 204, Senate building extension, ans you'll be paying N2500 for the verification. You can send someone who has your full names to help. 2. As it's been said many times, one needs to prepare for the expensive initial living and administrative cost. Checking up the cost of a pair of jeans (N15.000 on conversion), I had to resort to buying as many wears, foodstuffs, toiletries (lol), even pen and notebooks before the day of flight. I'd advise everyone takes time to attend to these issues early while we're here. It's like a stitch in time... 3. I've been having this sleepless nights because of my health insurance fee. My school's default insurance is $2,995. How do I explain to my sponsor that he has to cough out a whooping N1m+ after scholarship? I've tried checking the third party insurance offers, and seen good bargains in the range $600-$2000 with the option of payment in installments, but my friend in the US is advising me to be careful so as not to be scammed. My main question is: what plans do the schools have in cases where there's a delay? I've contacted the school on this as a new student, but haven't received any reply after many days. Thank you all as I await help. |
Levels731:I just did that on Friday. Thank you plenty my oga |
shayhune:Thank you Boss |
towbaynah:Thank you good pal |
mudi1012:thank you plenty boss. I couldn't say thank you because of a ban |
Tunnyz:Thanks my oga. Amen and for you too |
LagosismyHome:Amen. I sincerely appreciate your support throughout the process |
Capitas7:When you a lion chases you, Mount Everest becomes a pebble - this I saw today. If the word "Grace" makes no meaning to you, then the US Embassy is not a place to experiment your philosophy. I passed the night at my brother's apartment in Akoka. Short night, I woke up at 12:59am, and searched for another nap that never came. I put a call through to my brother for the final mock he promised me - he wasn't in town (Texrem, I'm jokingly angry at you o, as you didn't reply my request for a mock interview nko?). I left his place at 4am. A good note for those planning on leaving their Yaba lodge early, I saw only three buses (the road was sleeping) moving between the hours of 4am and 4:40am, meaning it was too early. Got to the Consulate a few minutes after 5am. After all the checks, we were on the single line waiting for the VO's who started arriving around 7:03am (by now, 6:30am, 7:00am and 7:30am immigrant and non-immigrant candidates were muddled together). I began to wonder how nairalanders observed and kept figures with pictures because immediately the interview started with the first set of applicants, I went blank, and didn't even want to see anyone's denial or approval. The brother in front of me no try at all. If you're reading this, bros, your energy was much, and your blood hot; kilode? I almost left the position behind him for another window. See as bros just dey talk like say e dey address the entire applicants, with much energy and hot blood. I heard two immigrant applicants say why is he portraying himself as being desperate? and the other replied this is serious and funny. I heard the VO ask him what do you know about this school? Brother's answer was quite superficial, then the VO made the comment "those are general knowledge about US schools, can you give me something more convincing?". Too serious or not, Window 6 approved big bros - this brings to mind the saying of Lagosismyhome that what sounds inadequate to someone's ears might be what a particular VO wants to hear i.e. only the VO decides - and I was happy for him. I just dey fear say this brother don spoil show for person like me wey dey talk with low tone. Immediately after him, I approached Window 6. Sorry for the epistle, but the truth is God's Grace made my transcript limited to just three questions thus VO: Good morning sir Me: Good morning sir VO: pass me your I20 and your passport Me: (I did as instructed) VO: So why Florida institute of technology? Me: FIT internship presents graduate Biotechnology students the options of working in a research lab or in a commercial company, of which I prefer the first and most of the other schools don't have the option (VO didn't allow me mention the other point I had) VO: How do you intend to go about your studies? Me: A total of 30 credits are required to obtain an MS in Biotechnology in FIT spread over a period of 24months. (I mentioned two courses and how many units per session) VO: They're offering you a very good scholarship. Me: Yes, true (low tone). VO: What qualified you for this? Me: My SOP, GRE scores and my undergraduate CGPA (there's nothing special about any of them, just average) VO: okay, your visa has been approved, ensure...at the address circled on this slip. Do have a good day, and welcome to USA Me: Thank you sir. I got home to discover I missed my dad's 6 calls sometimes around 5am. He told me he felt he had to wake me up, in case I was still asleep. Same with my brother who has been really supportive from the beginning. A big thank you to Lagosismyhome, Walspring, Texrem, Topdee, Zeng, Electronic, and everyone here. |
Good day everyone. Approved this morning. I will post the transcript before the end of the day. In transit at the moment. Abstractg thank you to everyone who I've come across on this platform, and those who directly offered help, not excluding those who have contributed through transcripts or other contents. I can't thank my younger brother enough for suggesting this thread to me a few months ago. |
princeGee23:Thank you very much. It's been resolved now |
Walspring:I really appreciate. I was able complete it with IE 8, but saved earlier progresses on chrome. I will suggest Walspring's options to anyone having similar issues. And IE8 would be fine too. |
LagosismyHome:I fear its a general thing too, but it went through with a lot of hiccups later yesterday evening. I appreciate your concern an help from time to time |
Sweeny:Thank you very much. I searched for the browser, but I had it resolved later on my internet explorer. I had to do some software reinstallation. I'll be downloading the Puffin soon though. |
