Am impressed no be the SE play against Algeria where we can even string one or two passes together this is huge IMO ...the team is developing let's hope for the best in the subsequent match.
Team is developing....wow.. after 4 years.
To be honest Rohr's team selection and tactics is quite difficult to understand.
Sometimes I wonder if he is simply trying to confuse the opponent or himself.

The biggest take I have from this game is that this Nigerian team lacks a clear structure and identity after being coached by same person for 4 years!!!

This team relies too much on individual brilliance which isn't quite good enough.

The Senegal side of 2002 and the Ghana side of 2010 had a of hanful of highly talented players but the rest were average at best but they outperformed more talented teams by having a clear structure and sound tactics.

We were lucky Algeria weren't this organized during the WCQ.

I think with Rohr in charge...the Super Eagles will be a decent at best but I don't see his team winning the AFCON or turning heads at the World cup if the team qualifies.

And non of you had sex with them? Lies.
Very important question..from my personal experience, most of them were lashed by these married men...only biting fingers when it turns sour.

But I think most can decipher easily that a potential date is married if they are not blinded by infatuation and superfic

ial thinking.

Women seem to like the feeling that their man is highly desirable to other ladies...in most cases such attractive men ain't gonna be single...las las na to chop clean mouth

........... if we all have to be realistic here,, media trial is no trail, no matter what happened , rape or not, the media isn't going to convict or acquit anybody.... it's the court that does that, ... if the matter is in court fine, if not, let her go to court.. .. you can't pick a quarrel with people for having different opinions
That has been my view from the onset. The case should go to court and be handled there. Frankly, only the two parties know exactly what happened...I hope in the end we all get to know the truth. This social media trial isn't healthy at all

I knew there are many rapists and rapist apologists on Nairaland and in Nigeria in general. I never knew there were this many though. What an alarming condition.
It’s saddening and depressing the number of people who will do and say anything to shut an accuser up but claim they want justice. If you really want justice without bias, then let both sides state their cases without trying to shut one party up.

The devil is at work in the hearts of many Nigerians. And this doesn’t matter whether she’s saying the truth or lying because none of you know that for sure. But one thing is sure is that none of you care if she was really raped or not. You just think she should not say it. Otherwise why state for sure that’s she’s lying when you don’t know that?

What a horde of demons.
And I repeat it doesn’t matter specifically in this case if she’s lying or saying the truth. My comment is based on the reactions of you folks who like us do not know for a fact whether she’s lying or not but you’re so willing to give your kidneys to see her burn, No matter what the truth is. Such evil
Beautiful piece.
I have come to realize that most Nigerians are religious but evil.
I am in no position to judge but most "Christians" are more interested in the impact of this on the image of the church.
Nobody cares if the rape claim is genuine.

We need some humility with regards the SE. Rohr has taken us some distance away from the sorry state we found ourselves post 2014 world cup.
Frankly, I don't see any local coach handling the team as professional as Rohr has been able to..some may postulate that a few are tactical better but they come with way too much baggage.
If the NFF cannot get a foreign upgrade on Rohr, he should be left to continue.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by caprikon: 10:13pm On Jul 14, 2019
Algeria was clearly the superior team. The SE couldn't have played any better. I foresee Algeria lifting the cup.
Rohr... If the NFF must change him, the should do so immediately after the AFCON else further delay could lead to breakdown of the rebuilding he started.
Rohr isn't a bad coach but is too conservative.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by caprikon: 10:33pm On Jul 10, 2019
Rohr got his tactical set up right today. SA were at the risk of going a man down. I didn't fancy the sub of Moses at first but on a second thought SA were attacking down the right with increased intensity so he needed to stifle them. SA could have easily gone a man down if the game extended to extra time.
The team needs to be more clinical in this crucial stage. congrats Naija

There is a lot familiarity between the present Nigerian side and SA. Both teams are basically counter attacking teams. There is a potential for the match to be like some chess game between Rohr and Baxter. Not expecting a high scoring match...The team that draws first blood has the advantage.

RSAs football today was orgasmic.
The flip side though is that the home fans in Egypt will be massively against them. The AFCON has finally come to life

the Nigerian team is playing with fear. The match is boring. I don't see the winner of this tie going farther than the next round.

Abeg make Glo use Andy Ruiz for their next advert.

For me, the best heavyweight at the moment is Fury. The guy is something else. Wilder will kill AJ with AJs poor movement in the ring. But Fury is ahead of them.

the man's action is Christ-like. if only we had a greater population with a similar mindset-sacrificing personal gain for the good of others, the Country will not be in this terrible jungle-like state.

God is all Powerful, all knowing and all doing. if you truly believe this, then you need not abuse or insult those that oppose your view. The Christ never asked His disciples to fight for Him. Some peeps here are sadly just like Shekau without knowing it.

Rohr is quite a conservative coach-though not unexpected for someone his age.
The more reason I respect Sir Alex a lot though I am not a Man U supporter. He kept in touch with tactical innovations even in his advanced age....very proactive coach.
Nigeria needs someone like that but I think Rohr should be allowed to take the team to AFCON 2019 and a decision can be taken after that.

Ighalo!! what a shame.
He ruined the valiant effort of his teammates.
His international career should end already.
Argentina are not great by any stretch..they will be found out in the next round.
Kudos to Croatia...really solid team.

Looking forward to an exciting game -Ngr vs Iceland.
Most of the first games in the group stage were a bit conservative and boring.
Africa had two representatives in last 16 four years ago. ... I hope this set can redeem the African image.

Dalic did a good homework on the teams in group D. I see them going far. but still observed weaknesses in their back line. ..though the much maligned Strinic has acquitted himself so far.

funny game.
dodgy Nigerian performance. I think the Croats and Nigerians could leave at the group stage.
Rohr and his guys need some soul searching. if they loose the remaining two in same manner. ...he will definitely be out.
side note- for those comparing Rohr to Keshi...pls hold the brakes.

really impressed with Uruguay's defending under pressure. The mark spaces well and never panicked. Egypt lacked the x-factor in the final third.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by caprikon: 9:42am On Jun 04, 2018
the poor performance in the first half was due to poor communication as much as individual errors. the gaps in midfield was largely because the AMF/forwards were not moving in sync with the rest of the line. like Mikel pointed out... the team needs to communicate more so that they can attack and defend as s unit. at times it seems Mikel expected the back line to push up but the stayed back inviting pressure. .also head clashes.. they need to sort this out before the mundial kicks off.

I hope the history debate is over. There are more befitting sections on nairaland for such.

The most important thing is that the guy has Nigerian roots and could have an international career with Nigeria.
