When I see suicide I wonder if no one around the person noticed their depression and tried to talk them out of it. But unfortunately we are all occupied by our online activities that we don't notice what the people around us are going through.

This is by way the most sensible comment I've read so far. No one wakes up and decides to end it all just like that. It's a gradual process. The people around them apparently didn't pay attention.

Professor Awojobi, a man of exceptional brilliance. He was also politically active. He gave the government of his day a hard time. He was once bundled off the pulpit when he was addressing the congregation in church. If we had ten of such men right now, these politicians will pee in their panties daily.

On the 29th of September at the close of work, I went to see a good friend who has a tutorial centre around a place called Ibefun street in Alapere,Ketu. We strolled to the bus stop ( Ibefun bus stop)where each would go his own way. My friend met a female friend and while both of them were talking, I spotted a police van and another car both filled with gun totting policemen.

I shifted backward and began to call on my friend that it was time to leave. I did this because every now and again, one hears atrocities committed by these men. Well, they arrested my friend and I and took us to their station. We barely had time to call somebody then they threw us in a cell! This happened on around 10pm and we remained behind bars till 5pm the next day when Soldiers and a lawyer came to our rescue. The DPO who led the operation alleged that we were armed robbers. He claimed we broke his phone and pushed him inside a gutter.

The next day when one my friends who was livid with rage told the DPO that he had jailed innocent guys who are gainfully employed,he retorted: ' I don't care!'

Fellow Nairalanders, I want justice and I need your honest and candid opinions as to how I can go about this issue. I can't afford the exhorbitant fees of lawyers and the one who came to our aid is our pastor. Mature contributions, please.

This professor was kidnapped some 8years ago! I remember reading that in Tell. Well, I just checked with a friend who's working on a Master's in that dept. The prof,he says, has been kidnapped again.The second time in less than 10years. Tooh. Happy 'kidnapping!'

Yes ooo...by all means.It's the first UNIVERSITY established by an act of parliamment and it takes only the national assembly to ratify it!

I finished from the University of Lagos and had a near similar experience.I flunked a GST course(214).My exams officer called me after I had failed the paper again in final year and wondered whether I had chosen not to graduate.Fortunately,the school organised a make up exams for graduating students and God saved my arse!
My CGPA was above 4. too.so,you see,shit happens.She should prepare to write it again.God'll support her.

Gaggi: My family is pretty much reserved. It's actually d immediate family, her pops, moms and siblings dat shld knw d details of d relationship. Her parents are well to do and so finance for d wedding wasn't an issue. Even we d cousins contributed. Raising mny for wedding isn't really a big deal. It seems like d guys family is also comfy. I want to believe dat he is just a black sheep. I dnt really knw much abt d guy's end.
I feel bad dat as a 'soji guy' i couldn't spot a dubious character. I'm wary of being played again and dnt want to contribute mny for them. I luv my cousin, she is such a sweet girl but so naive. Her parents are so pissed with her and says she is a fool not to have done her homework well. I dnt knw, i hate to seem heartless but i hate to be played.
