Puss360 what do u have to say? This one carry oloshoism enter motherhood.
Many women don't know the pain their children go through when their mother is busy sleeping around with different men.
It's a tough one to say, but sadly too many children don't know what their mother go through to put food on their table, clothes on them, send them to school, get accommodation for them to sleep. It's tough on both worlds....esp for the single mothers!

Had exactly this experience with the oppo phone I got from jumia.
U won't even see the call dial, the next thing is flash SMS on the screen showing call summary.
Once I check my balance, everything is gone.
I blacklist numbers tire, e no work.
WhatsApp banned me, used my mum's line to open another account, that same day I was ban.
Twitter banned me too...
Don't know what I was checking, I went to jumia inbox and realised the oppo phone I bought as brand new was actually refurbished phone.
Don't know whether that's where the issue was from..
But this new phone am using, haven't experienced such yet.
I pray someone share lasting solutions to this issue
Here's the lasting solution...you've got to create exclusivity for your line by putting password on the sim itself....

Have you activate password for your sim? If not better do it now. They can as well wipe your bank account if you don't as a matter of urgency.

Pls i want tech gurus on. Nairaland to come to my aid. Something unusual has been happening to my Sim for quite some time now. The latest that broke the Carmel back was when i was woken up with that mtns ladys voice at the backend saying 'dear customer..u do not have enough balance to make this call, pls recharge..." That was d voice from my phone at exactly past 2am this morning...which woke me up. This has been happening for some time. After the voice woke me up i decided to check my balance and my airtime of #300 had diminished to zero balance😲😲😲

Pls who can honestly explain whats going on with Mtn Sim cards...i doubt if d fault is from my phone but the Sim. Are they now hacking Sims down to using your airtime to make calls? Pls explain. Am i sharing my Sim with thieves ?
Lest i forget i also get calls or short dials from foreign numbers..countries like Togo, senegal etc why always on Mtn lines? The complaints are getting out of hand

Romance › Re: Dear Ladies, You Need This If You Are Between This Age Bracket by CaptainFM1: 6:44pm On Aug 08, 2023
Bvlgari:
Dear Ladies,

If you're between 35 to 40 years old and yet no husband is coming, look for a guy you love either married or single and let him knack you and impregnate you.

You need a child that will look after you at old age.

Don't let anyone deceive you, Marriage is not an achievement, and it's not everybody that will get married.

You can still be single with your own child and still be happy and fulfill your purpose here on earth.
What if the man knack her and still take the child away from her? And mind you the fact that she got knacked doesn't mean she go get belle, and the fact that she get belle and deliver doesn't mean the child will be there for her. All powers are in the hands of the almighty.

I think the best advice for anyone in that age bracket is to stop been choosy and perhaps start going to Rccg camp, Shiloh and any other religious programs. She should also make herself visible in almost every decent environment. Very importantly, she should be courteous, polite and respectful all the time.

Family › Re: Why Do People Do This After The Death Of Their Parents? by CaptainFM1: 4:48pm On Aug 07, 2023
SamWales:
Hey guys, I've been wondering, why is it that most people don't renovate their house in the village till their old parents are dead?

Is not like they don't have the money to do this, but they will rather wait till the old parents drop dead. Immediately, they will start rebuilding the house trying to complete a 1 month construction project in just 1 week before performing the burial.

Is it that the old parents doesn't merit a good house? Apart from impressing the guests that will attend the burial, do you know of any other reason why people do this?
What is your opinion?
Sometimes they don't want to renovate or complete or even build in their village but the extended family back home do compel them that they must build renovate or complete before bringing their parent home for burial.

Different family, different stories.

I have no problem with kneeling down/begging to be accepted

But Kneeling down to propose to a lady you would purchase through bride price, is a sign of mental illness
I agree with you concerning the not kneeling down but about the bride price, that is not what bought her because you damn sure that there may be several people that can offer better and more price than you.

The whole mid air drama is unnecessary though, but when you come to think of it, generations are fast changing. I won't be surprised if people start going into outer space like mars just to propose.

A whole lot is changing in the world right now

Science students and civil engineers why is this road designed like this in the middle of the forest?

Is it for cars to pack and for passengers to pee? cheesy
They are called Lay-bys. Vehicles may pull off the road and stop there, but only emergency services can use the outermost lane on both sides. Like someone wrote already it's on Third mainland bridge and some major roads too, except that we don't have a dedicated lanes marked for emergency corridors.

True but Eko is an edo word. Bini people who were the early settlers gave it that name, not us. That doesn't make lagos an edo territory anyway. Till date, if any bini man or woman is coming to lagos, they'd say they're traveling to Eko.

Those places in lagos with yoruba names are clear. We know their meanings. Lagos was just a meeting point where slave buyers and sellers used to meet. It was a very small settlement before it became a city and developed by the egbas and others from yoruba and other regions. Fishing was the major occupation of those settlers.

Those distorting history for their selfish gains should continue. But people can't be fooled all the time. Most of those who call themselves lagosians today are liars, including tinubu himself. He knows his origin. Even madam Tinubu whose name many of them adopted as their father's name today was an egba woman. You see? The below are the pictures of the old Eko, now lagos, as taken from baba jakande's house on my recent visit.
So many names for our dear Lagos.
If you say Bini people gave her Eko,
Who gave her "Eko Akete"?
Who gave her "Aromisa-Legbelegbe"?
Who gave her "Eko-Wenjele"?

Irrespective of whatever names people give the Authentic name is "Lagos" as registered in Nigeria constitution.

What's the meaning of Oshodi in yoruba, as am now seen as someone distorting history, please can you tell me? Then I'd believe you.

Maybe you could help further by telling us the meaning of the following:

Iga
Iduganran
Idumagbo
Idumota
Eko...
They may not necessarily have meaning but stories about the names. I'm not historian but my late dad had told me story about how the name Eko came about.

Those were the Yorubas who took Brazilian names as they were in the Brazilian quarters of Lagos (which still exists till today).

The fact that you Igbos can't trace your history does not mean that others suffer from the same misfortune.
And those family still support slavery by not jettisoning names their captors gave them?

We need to wise up as Africans!

Lagos has never been for sale. The assets of these families, these highly prosperous, educated and wealthy Lagos families are still standing till today wink

Here's a very educative read of the Lagos most of you don't know.

TKE Phillips is the first Pharmacist in Nigeria,
Edmund Macaulay (Sir Kitoye Ajasa) is the 1st Nigerian to be Knighted , Chief Christopher Alexander Sapara Williams CMG (14 July 1855 – 15 March 1915) is Nigeria's first Lawyer called to the English bar on 17 November 1879, while Dr JC Vaughan alongside his colleagues formed the Lagos Youth Movement(NYM) which later became Nigeria Youth Movement here in Lagos that fought with other groups for Nigeria's independence.

From Darocha to Bank-Anthony , Shitta-Bey , Randle, Vaughan , Macaulay , Oluwa, Kosoko, Dosunmu , Abina, Alakija, Ashogbon, Ojora, Tinubu , Sasegbon, Sasore etc, Lagos is never and has never been for sale. Proudly one of the descendants of these illustrious families. We are grateful to God for our forebears sacrifices and the virtues of patriotism they handed down to us.
Shout out to these Yoruba families;
