So I decided to spend the weekend at my uncle's place because it has been many years I went there.


In the midnight, around 1am, I heard the television was on and I thought he forget to put it off.


So I went to the living room only to see his son of about 4-5 years old watching cartoon. I was shocked and asked him to go and sleep, which he grudgingly agreed.


Now, early morning around 5am or so, same thing happened. I want to the living room and saw him there.


This time he refused to go to bed.


I later found out that's how he does. I wonder if he ever sleeps at night.

The parents are not even bothered, but I'm worried. When we were growing up, who are you to stay awake past 9pm watching TV? Not to talk about waking up at night. Even in the day time you better not be caught idling away on front of the TV when others are busy.

This one just comes to the living room anytime he likes and puts on the TV.

Is this how kids of nowadays behave?

You never see anything about this Generation Alpha. AI is even here to spoil and destroy them further.

It is a Law from the highest Law making body of the Land

A motion is not a law! It has to pass through several stages before it becomes a law.

Ok, I've heard you. You may want to refresh your understanding of the difference between a bill/motion and a constitution.

Also be mindful that the Senate cannot make a law that will impinge on the constitution. Hence they need first amend the constitution itself.

I'm inclined to agree with you, but the truth is, both are wrong. I'm not sure anybody challenged Buhari in that regard. But it's what it is. The court will only respond on matters that is brought before it.

In general, I think our level of understanding of the constitution is quite shallow thus different reactions at various or same occasions. Even the people that flout the constitutions don't have deep knowledge of it. Legal practitioners inclusive.

Nigeria constitution should be made a compulsory subject of it's own for senior secondary students. This will enhance the level of awareness and empowers people with their constitutionally giving rights. Even ordinary police on the road will know the limit of his power and the implication otherwise. There will be a level of sanity in the society if constitution can be made a compulsory subject at that level.

How is that Senate's Business? Is that not a matter for the Judiciary?
