Anytime they withdraw like that something is fishy. Watch out. |

FalseProphet1:If your spiritual shrine cannot save itself, that should tell you that you're just wasting your time with a spiritual god that is absolutely powerless. Stop deceiving yourself. You should know that after God is government. Even if your spiritual head is Jesus or Mohammed, they will pay Ceaser what is Ceaser's. Religions doesn't matter when it comes to tax matter. |
Soon, they will tax the air we're breathing! |
Cmanforall:He's a suspect until the court confirms him a criminal. Open parade of suspect is the worst form of media trial. If you notice, even NPF too have started blurring faces. We are getting there. |
I'm much worried why a 40yr old would give birth to 12children. And he still won't stop knocking until he was extinguished! |
None has brought any dividends yet! |
Dundalk:I can make 5 trousers for myself from it ![]() |
Lawalemi:SMHFU! Nigerians get mouth sha! |
MrProlific95:So we should abolish or suspend the law for this reason? Anyone seeking political position should live above board. Is D. J Trump not in court during campaign period? Let's not condone double standards. EFCC should pick him up as early as tomorrow morning. |
SouthSouth1914:SMHFU! |

PointZerom:That's why I used the word "income" and not salary. I really don't care how you cumulate your income together. I know a lady that sells, pepper, foods, own a boutique, she's a realtor, she patronizes the red lights districts, she's a yahoo girl, she operates a side bar and peppersoup joint and so many other hustling....When you add up what she gets from all the above is what is termed "Income". Go back to the earlier post, I chose my word carefully, I never used the word "salary". And it doesn't matter if my idea is wrong. It's just my position, and it has worked well for me. |
SouthSouth1914:Notices can be served anytime. You have imported so much misconception into the tenancy law. After the expiration of rent, the Landlord is not under contractual obligation with you anymore provided he has not collected any money or mesne profit from you. In such case, the Landlord is only required to issue you 7days notice. Another misconception is that a tenant can stay 6months free? Even if the Landlord issued you the 6months notice after your tenancy expires, every single day the tenant stays in that house will be worked out and the tenant will be asked to pay (Mesne). Some magistrate would even add interest to it. You should visit magistrate courts often to witness Landlord-Tenant cases and learn the law correctly. |
oladele239:Between now and November 30th is almost 7months. I've always said this.... Tenants should not take a rent which their 2months income cannot cover. Also, Landlords should not give rent to a tenant whose two months income cannot cumulate their annual rent. |
immortalcrown:He may just want to use his house. He may have family members, friends, relatives that need a place to stay. or He may not even want to rent out again. He really do not need to have any reasons for issuing a quit notice. He doesn't owe you that explanation but a concerned Landlord may tell you. .....ok "I have a baby mama I've impregnated outside, and I want her to come and stay in my house" His reasons could be as flippant as that! |
oladele239:He gave you 6months and 23days notice. The law actually requires him to give you 6months. You should thank him for the extra 23days. |
Obierika:If it cannot be done, nothing can be done. As a seafarer, I've had causes to save people, one right in the middle of Indian Ocean, and another on the Atlantic. First, they never attempted to swim away from their craft as the craft is their best known position when rescue come searching. When a Mayday signal is sent from a casualty vessel, that signal is for the location of the sinking vessel and that's where rescuers will aim for. If they had swum away from the casualty vessel they would make it difficult for help to get to them because rescue crafts will now take time to start searching everywhere for them. Bear in mind that Helicopter won't do night operations and their operation is also limited to about 6hrs of fuel for its "to and fro" journey. While a ship may not pass close to your location in 2weeks, even months! In one of the MOB cases I rescued, the man was in the water for 5days lying on top of his capsized dinghy. If he had attempted to swim, he would dissipate his energy and will finally get drowned. Where would he even swim to anyway? That's why when doing survival techniques course/training emphasis is not on swimming but to stay alive for as long as possible. To even amaze you, swimming is not a requirement if you want to enroll in the Merchant Navy.. Note: I didn't say Military Navy! I agree with you it's not easy, but that's where training comes in. I've been on a vessel that was badly hit by severe storm and high swells with the ship "rolling" to 40 degrees. We all knew if the worst happened, we won't go far from the parent ship even if we abandon the ship using lifeboat or liferafts. It comes with training and awareness. I've been on a flight that lost completely one side of it's engine. Everybody in the flight were terrified and shouting prayers to heavens except me and the flight crew. The air hostesses were cool and calm and trying to coordinate people. Not that they don't see the danger, they just know how to handle the situation better because they were properly trained for it. How many miles of an ocean do you think anybody can swim? Highest maybe 2N.miles (3704meters). That's why it's advisable to just stay in one place and be praying if you believe in the supernaturals. It's not unheard of in the maritime world of casualty in the water for up to 2months and yet survived. That's why Survival techniques at sea is a complete course on its own. |
It's best to just calm and stay afloat if you find yourself inside expanse of water such as the Atlantic or Pacific. If the shore is not in sight, even the best Olympic swimmer will die attempting to swim such water. When you stay put, you conserve energy to remain afloat for long and hopefully a boat may pass or rescue come to your aid. The first rule of survival techniques when you're in the middle of the ocean is to stay calm and stay afloat especially if you're not wearing floatation aid. Any attempt to swim such water reduces your chances of survival. |
FatherOfJesus:You have some points partially! Comparatively with Asphalt road, concrete is still far better. For that level of damage I see on that concrete road, if it was asphalt, you would be seeing a deep valley if it is subjected to the same level of use. |
Something is wrong with Africans. This is the same Uganda that Secondary school students went to Prom date in Helicopter. This is exactly the same mentality our politicians in Nigeria have. |
If they are doing this at Secondary school level, by the time they finish University, they would have stolen all the remaining resources Africa has just to maintain the social status their elite and politician parents introduced them to. |
Nah.....Public Officers Like Independent Criminals Everywhere! |
Litmus:I only use a fishing community as an example. There may be other area the coastal road may affect. That's why EIA is important. I'm much more concerned about the rude way the minister approach the journalist. |
StOla:It's not cast in stone like that for everybody. Some will go and make it in 6months while some may take up to the 3rd generation like you said. My problems with Nigerians is when they start comparing apple and melon together. It's two different world. If you chose the UK, just stick to your UK and if chose Nigeria, just stick to Nigeria. Both has its advantages and disadvantages to every individual. What is advantage to someone in the UK, may be advantage to another in Nigeria. There's no basis for comparison at all. I've lived in the UK for several years and can't say I have everything I wanted completely in either UK or Nigeria. It has always been a mixed bag for me. When I want something I can only get on the UK, I go to the UK, and when I want something I can only get in Nigeria, I go to Nigeria. The world is simple.....no single country has all their shits together. That's why I rather see myself as a citizen of the world instead of fixating myself to one or two limited environment. |
Leave this matter pls. Let anyone that wants to go, go. When you post stuffs like this, you could discourage people. Not like staying here in Nigeria is better off anyway. I'm trying to see what to be proud of staying back in Nigeria and getting stuck with your generations and future generations, esp. when you have the capacity to move out. |
This is an example of what the journalist was asking the useless minister about EIA and he was talking down the lady in a condescending manner? Today it's multichoice, tmrw it might be the fishing community. |
We have found latest excuse to give Nigeria people now. |
Iykegodslove:You already came up with your own solution in the last paragraph. As for a cheating wife, there's nothing you can do about that. Once cheated, will always do". And a cheating wife can easily kill her husband. You've been served breakfast, you still want to wait for lunch and dinner. Plenty tears full your eyes. |
metaluterus:You have to unbundle it fast for easier palliatives. |
All these does not concern ordinary Nigerians. What we want is stable and regular electricity supply. |
