MaxInDHouse:The fountain source of your error is your scarce understanding of the just and righteous nature of God...understand that then the rest will easily fall in place. |
Aemmyjah:Do you think that the God who created water did not create fire? Hell is eternal prison. A man may be a loving husband and father, but can also be a judge. You accept that. When it comes to God, who is the Groom, and Father and Judge, you suddenly rebel against His nature. |
MaxInDHouse:Context. When Christ said to fear God He mentioned hell fire. He was talking about terrifying things contrary to your submission. In the book of Philippians chapter 2, it says to work out your salvation with fear and trembling. Do you relate with your friend in fear and trembling? |
DeepSight:Read the Bible to know who He is. You are only defining Him with one side of the coin. A coin has two sides. God is a Shepherd and a Judge, He is both loving and terrible. Being selectivley blind to the other side of His nature is deception. He Himself said to fear Him. Jesus told you whom to fear. If God is all love, then why did He say to fear Him? Doesn't perfect love cast out all fear? So why the need to fear Him? The Bible said the demons know there is one God and they tremble. |
MaxInDHouse:You keep quoting Ecclesiastes as if the whole other New Testament and Old Testament verses are useless or invisible. Why don't you quote from the New Testament to corroborate your claim? Is this not the height of deception? |
MaxInDHouse:Lol. Did you just juxtapose Satan and his followers with future non-existence? Even common sense tells you that your interpretation is an arrow that has missed its mark by many degrees of deviation from the truth. |
MaxInDHouse:The translation, your preferred translation, clearly said Gehenna is a place where the maggots never die, not where there are always maggots as erroneously interpreted by you. Russell is in hell paying the wages of his lies. You don't have to follow him. |
The subject matter here may be "Pentecostalism" but it takes a low jab below the belt of the Christian faith. Describing the gift of tongues as "gibberish" is but one of the stones the writer has pelted at the Christian belief while cowardly dodging behind her introducing statement to intend no offense. With her spearheaded cynicism, she has pricked the body of Christ by characterizing its obedience to worship and dance before God, the Head, as some transactional interaction whose sole purpose is to fatten the purse of its spiritual leaders. She says it is specifically directed at pentecostalism but where other Christian denominations like the Apostolic faith, the Methodists, etc are at the receiving end of her onslaught against pentecostalism should we call it a case of stray bullet or manslaughter? Her last paragraph is quite bolder and leans more towards the intent of her article chiefly to smear grease on the Christian faith as if she would be the first (she came two thousand years late). It was designed to inspire introspection in the same way someone who is intoxicated should inspire thoughts toward being sober. |
Don't know her but from what I have read she must have lived a beautiful selfless existence. She will be looking forward to her glorious resurrection body on the day the Lord returns. She is sleeping in Christ. |
You are welcome. |
Stargirl2011:There is a Christian telegram group you can join to download and request books. I will send you the link if you are interested. |
Michael547:Why do you want to meet them? What is it to you? Run your race. Follow God. |
Stargirl2011:Michael Van Vlymen has books on seeing in the spirit. Some are: Waiting on God How to See in the Spirit Powerful Keys to Spiritual Sight Praying Medic's book Seeing in the Spirit Made Simple You can download them online for free |
Michael547:They are spread all over the world. And their numbers are growing everyday. I also love Jesus intimately, abundantly, desperately....and I am not the first or last to do that. |
Okoroawusa:Her baby is not her sole business. This is abuse of the child. You think you can just do anything you desire to a child and not suffer the consequences? Piercing her ears is okay to keep her from undue suffering when she is of age and has not done so. Besides, it is age long tradition since the beginning of man on earth. What is the reason behind piercing her nose? The nose she uses for breathing. |
You said you wished you had visions like Rick Joyner did. Do you know one of the books by Michael Van Vlymen helps to achieve your quest? Praying Medic is another author whose books will help you achieve your God-given desire to see in the spirit. @Stargirl2011 |
Stargirl2011:Very good. Keep at it. |
jeromestarks:So it is for women? |
Stargirl2011, you done reading the book? |
Highestpromoton:Ladies, please do not listen to this big fat lies of the devil. A lady in her late 30's and 40's or 50's is still as admirable as any other and worth making the lifelong commitment to be her forever partner. To the men, go for value and beauty, not age. |
Stargirl2011:Okay. Happy reading then. |
Okay. It is good to talk to someone, especially a Christian, who shares same heavenly perspective. But you haven't quite told me what strikes you most about the book, Final Quest. Will be glad to know what it is. |
Stargirl2011:My age? Hmm, just say I'm a mature adult. A Male. Why? |
Stargirl2011:I would show you but that would mean getting banned for another 2 days. So I made a comment in a thread using a font style foreign to nairaland recognised fonts. Immediately, I was slapped the ban. Safe to say, lesson learnt. The Final Quest by Rick Joyner by Morning star publications? Yes, I've read it, and it is a deeply meaningful revelation of the Christian's spiritual authority, warfare, and need to know Christ intimately. I am really glad you have read it. That means you know the deep message of intimacy with Christ, and love for God and everyone. My greatest takeaway from the book is about love for everyone and extreme reliance on the Lord Jesus Christ - to be in constant union with Him. How about you? |
Stargirl2011:Starr (hope you don't mind the nick), I was banned by bot yesterday so that I couldn't make a reply to your post. Apologies for the delay in reply. In reply, yes, I love them. They help to anchor my hopes upward, where our real home is. Currently reading one at the moment (about his visit to hell and heaven). The Word of God says we should set our minds on things above, not on things on earth. Many, being tethered to earth by their love for the world, have lost their inner map to eternity with God, while many paying the ultimate price of eternal separation from God. However, I love reading more of heaven experiences than hell experiences. Kat Kerr is one of the names whose books on this subject I love. There are others, too. I would love further discussion on this subject if you are up for it. Ah, sorry I misunderstood your point. Got it now but you are right nonetheless about the worshiping thing. |
Really? Callous, evil, and cowardly act. Did anyone notice that the assailant 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗯𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗲𝗻 but was not treated in kind? May they recover speedily and may God forgive the assailant. |
You are welcome, Stargirl2011. Do not try to change them. Place and trust them in God's able hands to reveal Himself to them. He alone knows how to change their focus. Off topic, what do you think about reading books or studying materials on heaven, judgment and all? |
Stargirl2011:As regards the Christian Room thread, you should not be discouraged in posting. If no one replies don't let it die a natural death. Keep posting, if it is in you. Replies will be attracted to your posts. To the question you asked, the reason they can't be one is that they hardly intimately know Jesus. Jesus does not concern Himself with religion. All He asks is that we give our lives to Him. He is neither for or against any movement or denomination. If all of them can seek to know God personally they will tear down the walls of differences. There is the temptation to think carrying out specific man-inspired actions towards unification of beliefs may achieve union but that is false hope as far as I can tell. This is why the only place you will find perfect unity of the saints is in heaven because there ALL know Him personally. |
Stargirl2011:Have you abandoned the 'Christian Room' thread? To answer your question, they are denominations. Others include Apostolic, Wesleyan, Anglican, Pentecostal, etcetera.... Different belief systems...same God. |
May they all be exposed, separated from sincere Christians, and punished according to the law. There will always be wolves in sheep's clothing. It is a tale as old as the world. |
So, God has spoken everything there is to be spoken as written in the Bible according to Op? Very sad thinking. So, how does God let me know I should travel to Denmark or marry Betty Armstrong, or study Oncology? Where do I find the answers in the Bible? Should I throw dice or cast lot? |
Crab spirit in action as usual. Normal day in the African life. Your life depends on this three words: trust no one. May she rest in peace. Vengeance belongs to God. |
