XaintJoel20: [s]There is something so many Nigerians down south still don't know and will never know until they take time out to know. The Fulani jihad that was put to an end due to British colonialism is what has resumed. Go and search for the speech of Alhaji Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa of 1966, it's clearly written there. There is a grand plan to forcefully Islamize Nigeria and Fulani Muslin have taken the lead by indirectly invading the south. If you are observant, you would agree with me that the influx of Hausa/Fulani to the south had kind quadriple in the last couple of years. You will be on a long thing if you think they are just there for "business"... The plan is to catch the south unaware when the jihad kick off fully. I am reporting from the core north and I know what I am saying[/s] trash! |

The Senator whose file should be visited by our anti-graph agencies is that stupid woman from Ekiti State (Sen. Olujimi Abiodun) who in a bid to support the bill for the amendment of CCB/CCT, said if they cannot help a neighbor (Saraki) in times of trouble, the trouble (CCT) may soon visit them. The woman even thought she was making sense! welcome back! |

otukpo: But when USA was releasing negative reports about GEJ and his adminisration, APC fans were most delighted about it and was using it to abuse Jonathan in all kind of manners.
Hypocrisy at its peak. if you read the report, which I know you didn't, you'd realize that there's no direct indictment of BUHARI, if anything, they highlighted the steps taken by the government to right the wrong. So why would any sane Apc supporter take this to heart? We won't . Infact, every patriotic Nigerian should stand up against these people and not only Apc members. That of Gej was about his government, this is about the whole country . When it's about BUHARI's government, call me out so I can defend him and be seen as a hypocrite. |

Why Naira is Declining On depreciating value of Naira, the document read: “The drop in the value of the Naira against the dollar from 165 to 200 in late 2014 and early 2015 squeezes margins for traders and manufacturers, who pay for imports in dollars but earn revenue in Naira (most manufacturers in Nigeria rely heavily on imported inputs).” Don't worry, we have switched to China to save this situation. NB: America can write a more scathing and offensive report than this a million time, we don't care. One thing is certain, we've taken the move that will spell the "last burial" for the dollar in 'thirdwall'(no mind my choice of words) countries. Developing countries are going to borrow a leaf from us, then we shall tell them that we have been able to teach the world how to defeat Ebola , we taught the world how to make militants drop their arms without spilling blood , we just taught the world how to defeat insurgency( even the US has never achieved this anywhere in the world), and we are about to teach the world how nations can liberate themselves from economic slavery using other options apart from America and other enemies of Africa. Nigeria is on the path to glory! God bless pmb ! God bless Nigeria! |

Femiwilli: We are discussing what each religion teaches not what the followers do.
In islam you are taught to beat ur wives.
These men were not commanded to do what they did.
Notice you said what people did, we are saying what the quoran teaches.
Now these men are evil for what they did.
Also would you say that the quoran is good for teaching men to beat their wives? islam teach muslims to beat their wives? Hahahahahah... I don't think any religion respect women like Islam. |

rusher14: I laugh when I read contributions like this.
Are there no eggheads and technocrats in the top echelon of the Ministry of Finance?
Kemi knows nothing yet Ogun State, her past stomping ground makes substantial IGR?
Or you think you are more intelligent than Emefiele?
You guys always try to personalise issues by so doing defeating your defence.
This issue is a matter of choice, and the government has chosen what it considers the lesser evil.
At present, you would have connected people probably benefiting from round tripping. Yet, that is less painful for the masses than devaluation of a currency leading to a Zimbabwe-esque situation.
Runaway inflation is nothing the masses can bear. So tightening trousers, getting forex for only the essentials appears to be the thrust of our policies.
The present government is betting on its vaunted and expected ability to provide infrastructure, the backbone for enterprise.
They feel there's nothing to gain by devaluation other than having vultures feast on our basic industries and materials.
In the often cited Nigerian maxim " who devaluation don epp"?
Please provide reasons why we must devalue our currency, how it is beneficial to the common man, how it impacts his take home pay, access to basic health care and infrastructure and how it promotes local enterprise. Perhaps then we can begin to accept it as the right alternative. so many brilliant post from brilliant people on this thread . Herbie27, respond to the last line pls. You guys take anything from the west hook , line and sinker without looking at the implications. Licking the azz of America doesn't make you an American. |
Politics › Re: IMF Wants Buhari To Change His Forex Policy by Caseless: 4:34am On Apr 16, 2016 |
omenka: Just as someone else said, IMF and the West are simply terrified we are on the right track to fixing this using home grown mechanisms.
They know the wider implication of us succeeding without their inputs- other struggling African economies would likely adopt our strategies rendering them less potent in deciding the trends in our domestic affairs. their dominance and meddlesomeness can't last forever as someone has to put a stop to it. Somebody put a stop to America's monopoly of nuclear weapons when some other nations came up with their own just like Nigeria is doing now. We can be stuck to textbook economic policies that do not work for us. This step taken by Nigeria might end up creating a leeway to freedom for so many countries. |
