It seems that UI is going to defy JAMB's order that DECISIONS ON FIRST CHOICE CANDIDATES MUST BE COMPLETED BEFORE 15th OCTOBER 2017.

Many universities have even conducted their PUME exams or at least released their exam date.

Who has any idea when the UI PTUME exam is likely to hold?

Possibly before the end of October, not confirmed.

the whatsapp group is pathetic. no reasonable discussion. i think it is filled up with those that are already UI student, they are not doing anything to help aspirant in preparation for the task (putme) ahead they are just wooing and familiarizing with themselves. Even if you ask question they wont respond, I prefer this forum jawe.

For the Faculty of The Social Sciences, the quota for merit list is between 57-59(depending on the department).

Overall, Geography admits the least, not up to 65. Political Science, Psychology and Economics share similar quota of 65-70.

Sociology accept more candidates ranging from 70-85.

Sometimes these quotas are not used up while other times, they are exceeded.

This year, from news reaching me, UI will admit around 2,500 candidates which signify tougher screening and lesser quotas for some departments and faculties.

What shocks me most especially here in Nigeria is the food, I have a lot of Yoruba friends, I school in the West but I've not been able to taste their soup with little or no oil, the leaf types etc. Even at the cafeteria in school, I manage to eat their beans(with stew). I don't hate it but I've not tried it.

The North where I was born and raised, I still find their fertility rate very unacceptable, and some aspects of their food.

Although this don't shock me anymore.
