MissJoy29:Lemme go through the thread first before giving my reply. Modified: I'm not against what the tweet says but I don't back it too. It's a two-way thing. If the need to check arises, please follow your intuition and check it up but when there's no need just don't bother, the exception to this is that you learn other personal things about your partner that they aren't ready to reveal to you yet. I for one, I'm a one-man-one-woman type of guy and I don't unnecessarily get bothered about your activities except I begin to suspect you and the signs are no longer ignorable. My phone has simple password, my partners name(pet names or any devised for such purpose). Feel it free to check, the worst you can see might be weird search histories. I guess the reasons why some of these guys who posted earlier clamour for checks might be due to personal histories or their relationship with people who have been victims, they're trying to protect themselves by being unnecessarily alarmed and agitated. I have personal experience where checking might have or have not saved my relationship, let it be, you won't die. It'll hurt but just know human's duplicity is too much and the moment I catch glimpse of that, I let you go, no room for being too alarmed without cause. Anyone who wants to stay will stay and anyone who sees you as not good enough for them will leave, and that's life. Gf/wives are not trophies but marriage to the right one will give the greatest satisfaction. To Purityval, things have degenerated in the past couple of years but the little fraction of hope that someone who loves you exist, should still be able to convince you that despite the bad experiences about love, relationship and marriage, its worth trying again. |
MissJoy29:Definitely! I've replied to the loooong mention with another loooong mention of my own. ![]() |
MissJoy29:No problems! Yeah. I can imagine. A lot of guys are so into football. My brother isnt an exception. He was so into it sometime ago. He had all the information. And he was so invested in it emotionally. Till he almost had a nervous breakdown when one of his beloved team lost a crucial match. Chai! The young man had to talk to himself. But my dad is the opposite of the "a lot of guys" I mentioned above. He doesn't watch football especially when Nigeria is playing. You know why? He said its not good for his heart.Yeah, sad things had happened to fans as regard their emotional attachment to the game, 2008 UCL final and 2009 semifinals are few of those nights I just have to 'survive the night' cos the heartbreak was intense. I got repaid in 2012 anyways. ![]() I started divesting from football in 2015/16, I noticed that betting influence people opinion about the game rather than passion for any one particular team. I still feel proud to have seen my team won everything and my nation triumph on the continental stages too. Football still remain dear to me as would first love, but other things has taken over. ![]() You are right about the English teams. With all the stars they had at some point packed in their team, they don't do well. Unlike the "German machines". I don't know why I love that team. Any time I'm supporting a team that's playing against Germany, I almost always lose hope. They are good!English teams in 2006 had prospects that was irresistible to football lovers but they disappointed, they luckily qualified from their group(same with Sweden), and I knew the type of football they play. If Italy had not won the WC that term, I would have hated them but they did(even when I supported France to clinch it. I celebrated Germany third place win over Portugal like it was a final victory too, I love German teams, they have purpose and are well organized too. People loved Steven Gerrard very much but he never came around for me, I'd pick Super Frankie(Lampard) any time and any day! My sentiment might also be he played for Chelsea too. Regarding GKs, I enjoyed following Iker Cassilas, Petr Cech, De Gea, Jens Lehmann, Gianluggi Buffon, and numerous others, they were great GKs. I've not switched attentions to the WC yet, the present season hasn't ended and there things to watch out for, so I'll pend any discussion regarding WC for now. Hmmmm @she was soft with the instructions. Sounds romantic @just enough to shock her whenever she enters the kitchen.Wandering mind? @bolded my point is, she never made it seem bad, not to have learnt how to cook. But, yeah, it was romantic a bit cos we do talk about other things whenever she's not giving me instructions. I always have it mind to bring some girl to my kitchen some day and display what I've learnt over the years but I tell myself that she has to worth it for me to be able to go all out for that. Doing things together great bonds between two partners, and it also reinforces their understanding of each other. There are some days I'd want to carry over and over again, like where I do things with/for my other halve. The feeling is amazing. I still wonder if science could prove or disprove the existence of Love(just as it has made attempts to question the existence of God too). Yeah, village is cool. Once in a while, one needs to stay away from the hustle and bustle and loudness of city life and come unwind in a serene environment like my villageTrue! I don't like urban life that much, it's too isolated and some how not fitting sometimes. But village life is simple and less complicated. But again, the hustle and bustling gives one purpose and drive in life. Church was normal, one way or the other, I still attend, no stories for me. @A lot o women like that. Hmmm! I'll etch that at the back of my mind. |
Marcos Alonso is wasting a great deal of chances today. Happy Easter MissJoy29! |
MissJoy29:Football was my life at some point, so forgive me if I play the FootballBible for a bit. Let's just say I've seen games, memorable games in the past 14years. ![]() I like teams with flair and fervor, English teams don't seem to have that, Germany teams have this mechanism while stringing passes and unleashing bizarre shots, Spanish teams simplify the game and Brazilian sides well, work wonders, so some specialize in some things the English sides can't get together. 2006 WC, I watched the Portuguese GK, Ricardo stop Lampard, Rooney and Gerrard PKs and I was astounded how possible that could be, De Gea is one of the few GKs with such reflex capability. I want Nigeria to go far but also want a good side to do really well too. Egypt has a fair chance of qualification from their group, so let's see how it happens. I like me a man that knows his way around food. It's necessary for some pampering once in a while & some helping out. Not too much knowledge though. It still feels good to be called up once in a while & asked questions about cooking a particular food. I had a guy once like that. He knows how to cook especially that particular one I likeVery true, I remember the first time I cooked Egusi soup, I had to call my friend for assistance, I loved that day, she had me doing everything and she was really soft with the instructions and trust me, the soup was great. I don't want to learn everything, just enough to shock you whenever enter the kitchen. Cooking is fun, my elder sister like me being in the kitchen with her when I'm around even if I'm not paying attention, I think you just reiterated the reason for that. I'll keep that in mind from today.Yeah villa. My village isn't far. Maybe that's why I find it easy to spend holidays there. Although I go mainly because my parents are going too.I'm currently planning a visit for my next holiday to the village, I've missed there a lot. City life can be exhaustive some times. Your faith will see you enjoy the remaining days of this week. |
MissJoy29:Very correct there I think it was that Germany 2006 that I started becoming very serious in international football. I remember it so well that I think Portugal came fourth. Am I right?Yeah! I was very disappointed when Del Piero and Grosso goals help Italy advance to the final and the expense of my German boys, yes you're correct, Bastian Swensteiger's goals were enough to finish third ahead of Portugal. English teams has never caught my fancy at any tournament, they're only good on paper. I like Spain cos of my icon Iker Cassilas and Raul Gonzalez. I'm backing them or Germany to lift the WC in Russia come June/July. So you mean you no longer cook? Or just that you don't find it fascinating?I still do, like everyday but the thrill of it is waning. Maybe I cook for just myself and I don't really pay attention to the cooking sometimes, I remember when I was home, I had to impress my sisters and mom, so I plan to the end. I'm enjoying the new week also.Great, that's how it is suppose to be! Yeah! I guess Church has come to stay now, I'm certainly sure about this. Yeah, I don't even have any plans for Easter Sunday, I'll be indoors or so. Villa? Okay, you stay close by so you can easily get there. Do enjoy the Celebration. Thanks, and sincerely, this week have been good to me in general. |
MissJoy29:Lol! It happens and you just ask yourself why am I like this? If we all know the answers to everything, then everything would become a problem for us. We can't be two persons at the same time, we either love some things and ignore others. Yeah, I think everyone is stubborn to some extent. But some are more stubborn than others. Though I'm definitely not part of those "some".,Correct, I agree with you on that. Lol @doing umimaginably unimportant things. Harsh!!!Sorry it sounded that way but, sometimes its that way. Not having sufficient meaning. Unfortunately, I hate rap/hip pop. I don't think I even know any rap artiste. I'm so NOT into those categories of music.Lol! I get you but for me, its therapy. Music generally is therapeutic. When I was younger, I saw it as romantic for a guy to follow me to the salon. But not anymore abeg. Like if I'm braiding a style of hair that will last for like half a day, you will stay there? No na....I don't mind following a girl to the salon provided I have the time and she agrees to it. But you have a valid point there too. I follow the world cup every time it's played o. I'm ready this year tooI remember Germany 2006, the opening game was spectacular, the tussle in the pitch and how Germany eventually won, I supported them then, and I'm routing for German teams, only thing is I'm unconvinced about this present side. And I also stand by Nigeria, result after result. ![]() Oh cooking is definitely fun for me!Even me but I just dropped the skills, there's this girl I always call whenever I cook delicious soup, she used to announce to the hearing of the class how my food is, but after some time, I just didn't get fascinated with cooking again. Yeah, true @but our plans are sometimes God's plans for us. You are right.I made a plan yesterday and I knew in my heart that instance that Only God can will otherwise for me. My week was ok. We thank God. Hope you kept to your decision about Sundays.Okay great. Thanks, I'm really enjoying the new week. My decision about Sundays still hasn't changed although I missed service on Sunday, im working to avoids another slip up this Sunday which is Easter Sunday. |
MissJoy29:Lol! Noted. I still do like that, love going out for visits but hardly do. I can also be different personalities to different people. Depending on how close you are to me. A female friend was talking to a good male friend of mine on phone sometime ago. She told the guy,'kudos for making her laugh like this. She doesn't laugh often'. The guy was clearly surprised cos I don't think there's a human being on earth that laughs (ie is jovial ) like the way I am. That's one instance o. So, I may be different things to different people but one thing I am to everyone is weird, opento fun new changes but mysterious & stubborn.Wow! I can imagine! But I believe stubbornness is inherent in all of us, no matter the stage or level. I don't do best friend thing. My best friend should be my would-be husband or husband!Like whrs the end? We end up wasting our productive time, doing unimaginably unimportant things. You're right, my partner should be my best friend. I'm a series & music junkie. I read more when I was in school. We were three then. We had a nickname: our first name + novel ( ie Joy novel). Lol. But now, I'm more into music (Christian musics more, then blues, R n B & country for secular).Hmmm! I dont watch often but when I start I tend to finish it. Christian music is the least I do listen to but when I try to play then, I exhaust every song on my playlist. I'm strongly inclined to Rap/Hip-Hop, Rock(both metallic and soft core), then others can follow. But trust me, the content must be really good. No, I don't really like being followed to a salon. You can come bring food or snacks for me. You can come pick me up. But don't stay there & wait for me to finish. Except the hair doesn't take time. But I like going to watch matches together.Really? My sister told me its sweet for a guy to follow his girl there, and my ... liked i showed up while she makes her hair. About the football, if you're inclined and knowledgeable about it then its fun otherwise, I don't try to ask so you don't get bored. I don't miss out at all on world cup. I follow through till the last match. So I'm ready for this year's.Interesting! So when did you start following the World Cup? , which country are you routing for to clinch the trophy in Russia? Yeah, I have a pretty stressful schedule. Although I don't really see anything that has to do with cooking especially when I'm in charge as stressful. You see, I'm a foodie. I love good food. So I like cooking, learning and trying out new things in the kitchen. I'm never ashamed to ask questions about cooking. I dont have a best food because good food is good.I'm still learning how to cook but I do experiment from time to time. Cooking is fun, especially when you're not stressed by it. Even when we make plans sometimes, God makes His own. So we Pray for life and Grace everyday.True! But our plans sometimes are God's plan for us as well. I've made impossible plan s before and it went through without stress and I realized that God still presides over the our affairs, we just have to involve Him more intimately. How's your week been? |
MissJoy29:Hmmm! Adventurous and fun loving, I can imagine, but I totally understand the principle behind giving people access into your life, for some people, introversion and nerdiness might contribute(maybe yours is connected to either of the two) while others just have this high level of privacy thing going for them. For me ironically, depending on my mood swing, I'm many persons. I can be the loudest, the craziest and also the most quiet. I'm highly conservative and reserved, but I'm not antagonistic to a few modifications. I love talking to strangers and, many after getting to know them, I just cringe away, while other times, I open to a few guys(not more than 2 people in my life at any point). A lot of people seem chatty at the beginning but not many can continue after making acquaintances with them. That's why I don't do the best friends thing. I'm a series junkie but I'm sad to announce that I haven't seen one tree hill. But I know I will eventually. I heard it's interesting.I'm very selective with both movies and series, it must have meaning before I'm gonna be able to watch it. In 2015 alone o, since 2016, I've been seeing a whole lot of movies. Comparing movies and series, I won't pick either cos music still got me down, really really down. My friend once remarked that I'm easily captivated by works with a meaning, if it doesn't make sense I don't usually go the length I intended but when it does, I cultivate a habit with such work, book, movies/series or music. Hmmmm....never seen a guy who doesn't like ladies that love football. I used to be into football a lot! Used to watch major games in EPL, UEFA, La liga etc. But that fire died down when I had a guy who wasn't really into football. I practically had to drag him to go watch major matches like champions league final. Can you imagine! So, with the fire out, I lost touch. Now I'm so clueless when it comes to football compared to how I used yo be. Hope to get back though.Lol! Its one of the most lovely thing in a relationship, the girl have her thing and the guy has same, its more like telling a guy to follow you to the saloon to make your hair, you like it more right? Then I'll say you're missing some things in this world. Do get back, UCL and World Cup has a lot to be missed. Plans for the week? Work. And other things in between. I'm always pretty busy during the week. What with going to the market and cooking for two families. Combining these with working gives me a very tight schedule during week-days. But I enjoy it kinda. Especially the cooking part. Afterall, it's one of my hobbies. Two families? That's a whole lot you've got going on there. When your cooking controls others behaviour, I can imagine the gratifying feel of doing it more often, who won't love cooking except if its too stressful? I've never seen anything that beats good food, my knowledge is limited but I can contest the feel of anything to a well cooked meal, I can't blame Esau, some cooking just make wonderful things happen to us.My plans, it'll sound strange but I'm not the kind that plan my week, I like planning month, quarter or yearly but the week just isn't working for me. So this week maybe I'll read a book or something, I've got Dan Brown's Angels and Demons. |
MissJoy29:I'll try to imagine it, reminds me of a quote, the road to hell is paved with good intentions. Even if you flip sides everyday because you want to accommodate others you'll still get burned and if you're just you, no guarantees that burns won't happen. For me, I shut down for a particular period, chase goals and when I get to some point I reconsider and live a little fun. Don't stray please.Okay. I'm locking this down. Hmmmm...what series were you watching. And are you a series junkie like me?One Tree Hill(just started from season one). I don't think I'm a junkie, some times, I don't watch at all and other times I'm deep into movies. Lemme tell you one weird thing, I didn't see up to 5 movies throughout 2015. But now, I hunger for movies. Btw, chelsea's match ended 2-1 in favour of Chelsea. But I'm sure you already know about thatHmmm! She follows football too. That's good, I like girls that love the game.Yeah! I knew the tie was going to be a tough one, 2 episodes will do than gambling a game Conte might do rubbish. ![]() I say 'Amen' to your Prayer and wish same for me too.'Amen'as well. So what do you have planned for the week ahead? |
MissJoy29:But then someone irrespective will make a fool out of you once you attempt to relax a bit. I'm happy to hear that. Keep it up.Don't think I'm straying anytime soon. ![]() MySunday is great. Been resting. No light. So kinda bored. Thank God for my power bank & phone.Sorry about that, here's been a little different, I couldn't even manage to watch Chelsea's game today self, was watching an old series. I just pray the new week will be a whole lot different for me. |
MissJoy29:Truly, paranoia has cost me once, but I'm beginning to turn the leaf. Happy Sunday to you too. Sure, and I'm really keen to continue this way for a long time to come. BTW! Thanks for asking, hope your Sunday is okay? |
MissJoy29:Lol! I don't entirely have any fixed thing to look out for, honestly I have this alarming rate of skepticism whenever I suspect it might happen, intuition, skepticism or so, I happen to stay alert, girls who become/are desperate are not found around me cos they can go lengths to achieve their aim. |
MissJoy29:Was very good, the sun just didn't smile at me when I went out. ![]() I Pray God helps us to make the right decision. I have this paralysing fear of being caught in an unhappy and loveless marriage. That's why I'm letting no girl trap me whether with pregnancy, juju(I hate and fear this one more), or oath or something. I'm not a religious person but I know that God can't be left out of this process, I need His long-term plans while I make my short-term considerations and decision. Fear not, trust in your ability go decipher the which is bad and unfitting and that which God has sent your way. Fear not, you'll. ake good decision. |
MissJoy29:Good evening dear, how was your day? Amen. I won't move anywhere with a bad wife, I'm gonna drop her off immediately, I'm targeting long life, no woman will halve it for me. |
boyjo:No worry, him no go query you. You're welcome bro. |
boyjo:Boyjo baba mi, how your day dey go na? |
boyjo:Lol! My mind drifted to the physical, my bad. ![]() |
boyjo:For clarity, explain what you meant with 'you're not grabbing' and 'grabbing with style'. |
boyjo:Lol! Na every good person wey come our life we go marry? A lot of us are not there yet, and we just want to maintain what we have going. Your use and description of women as 'grabby' is rather objectifying, it doesn't need to get to that level bro. |
boyjo:Lol! Good question. Here's the thing, I'm a good guy but I wouldn't restrict such prayers to just myself. Me o, another guy o, as long as she's happy and gets the required appreciation she deserves, it doesn't matter anymore. |
MissJoy29 this is the kinda husband God should send your way, in fact, he won't just be saying nicer things but be doing them. |
olabrad:That one fact is strong enough to upturn whatever political will that is left in this country, I can imagine the level of 'Utopian sanity' that His Holiness wishes to fulfill with another term when he has locked the vents of corruption, and leaving windows open for party loyalists to loot. |
Lol! 2019 coming soon. I remember in 2015 how people lost their lives shouting and chanting the name of the Holy One from Daura, and when GEJ sent his congratulatory message across, upon announcement on the media how people also blocked major highways in Abuja and other places. Buhari has been failing both in class and In practical politics. He has worsened the obvious division between the North and South, he has taken us back to 1999 and the indices won't lie, even Abacha will be laughing at His Holiness for his segregated fighting of graft in the Nigerian state. |
MissJoy29:Going back to Church ![]() |
MissJoy29:I made a mistake o, I wasn't trying to justify missing church, but well, that's past now. We'll see midweek and then Sunday too. |
MissJoy29:I was trying to justify missing Church. I'll see into it seriously! |
MissJoy29:I'll start the search for another place. But? Please finish up! |
MissJoy29:I've considered leaving my present Church but I don't know what's keeping me static with it. My spiritual level is low(sometimes people fear I'm an agnostic or worse, atheist). About going alone, I grew up going to Church in pairs or with other people, since I came off, I didn't fancy going alone, so I stopped unknowingly. Also going alone kind of make me agoraphobic, with a friend I enjoy fully the ambience of the worship, laugh when there's need to, not keeping a straight face all through. You get me? |
MissJoy29:Yeah! its true o! Now there's light! ![]() Amen! ![]() I know those days I don't go to Church at all are almost over. One thing i don't like is going and not feeling the presence of God, and I don't like going alone. |
MissJoy29:Yeah, not just Imo, but theirs is more pronounced, when my sister did her wedding some years back, I saw the venture that was called marriage, couldn't stand it. In some areas in Ebonyi, they collect around N10,010 as bride price, that can't compare to the Imo areas. My battery is getting flatter by the second. I think so, second time since 1st January, 2017, I got up this morning and decided to go to Church. |
MissJoy29:And IMO people are not considering that one, bride price still doesn't get changed. Well my area's just dry and power outage to culminate the dryness. Service was great, *whispering* first time this year. *covers face and run out of thread* |
