I dont understand...how do national teams field players that are not eligible? Do FIFA not clear them before matches? |
ZombieDredd:the US knows the true position but when has the US ever acted based on the truth? They were kicked off their military base in Niger last year, Africom is currently based in germany, they are desperate for an american base in West Africa. Nigeria has persistently refused to allow them to establish a military base ion our soil. Economically, theyve seen China gain a foothold in Africa......they wanted a way in and you handed it to them. The truth has always been irrelevant to the USA. All they need is a narrative they can sell to their domestic audience. so maybe you need to respond intelligently and not be so naive. "The most prominent US military presence in West Africa was its bases in Niger, particularly the large Air Base 201 in Agadez, which was a key counterterrorism hub. However, following a military coup in 2023, the US has been asked to withdraw all forces from Niger, with the main base closing in August 2024 and most troops departing by September 15, 2024. The US is currently seeking new locations for counterterrorism operations in the region, with discussions reportedly underway with countries like Benin, Ivory Coast, and Chad. Former and current US military presence Niger: Air Base 201 in Agadez: This was a major drone and counterterrorism base built at a cost of approximately $110 million and operated until August 2024. Air Base 101 in Niamey: This was another key base, where a smaller number of troops remained after the closure of Base 201. Other West African countries: The US is reportedly in discussions with countries like Benin, Ivory Coast, and Chad to find alternative locations for future operations. " |
OgbeniOja1:you are entitled to your opinion but it makes sense to me that with the prospect of an impending attack (however unlikely it may be) that they are suddenly kidnapping school girls. having said that, the sign of an intelligent person when he disagrees is to offer his reason why. but hey this is nairaland. |
Ofunaofu:You are the ones who lobbied Trump to invade Nigeria. As someone suggested it seems terrorists are kidnapping school students as human shields in preparation for your invasion. richiemcgold:always starting something without deep thought and blaming others for the consequences. |
richiemcgold:Makes a lot of sense. |
Mrexcell:A picture says a thousand words. This is the man that was parroting IPOB propaganda at the hearing yeaterday. These US politicians will advance any cause if you pay them. That’s how they find elections.
|
VOsimhen144:The law is very clear. The death penalty is the only sentence allowed for the offense he was convicted of. If anything the judge erred by not prescribing the death sentence. It is the only sentence allowed or possible under the law. There is no wiggle room or discretion. He should have sentenced him to death because in reality, no one has been executed since the return of democracy. The judge does not have the power of discretion the death penalty is mandatory if an act of terrorism causes death! As for your other drivel, if you cannot do the time dont do the crime. Kanu and IPOB are the one’s eating the food they prepared. T |
Blankstare:History has shown that the domination agenda of the Ibos and the Fulanis is not conducive to peace in this country. They are both a bunch of people that must have their way or they set the country on fire. |
Crocodile tears. I have concluded that Africans deserve what they get….we never learn. Their forefathers came with bibles, we ended as colonies They are coming now as saviors of Christianity, they want out resources. Every time there has always been locals who invited them and struck deals with them. Remember we started as being protectorates (I.e our kings signed protection agreements) and before we knew what was happening we were colonies. We never learn. |
Mrexcell:America is the most corrupt country in the world but believe what you want. Experi nice has shown it’s a waste of time trying to get an Obidient or IPOb member to see common sense. For others, They are not interested in Christian’s or IPOB. They want presence in Nigeria which they had lost and you gave them an excuse to get in since Tinubu had deliberately ignored them since he became president. Even Riley could not help let it slip that they want a partnership with a Nigerian and this was an opportunity for anigeria to rebuild relationship with US. They don’t care about IPOb or Christians. In case you don’t know, America is in deep trouble. So much so they are considering introducing 50yr mortgages as that’s the o pay way people can afford homes. Just so you know the resources they care about are not in the SE. so if they have to sacrifice the ibos, they will, after all who is the American backedpresident of Syria today? Same with Afghanistan. . The resources of value are in the North and the SS. You hold no value to Americans except as a door into Nigeria, which you have now opened and you will regret because the rest of Nigeria will forever remember and Americans being Americans will sell you out. |
its not only in Nigeria that corrupt politicians exist. We can see US politicians who have collected money from IPOB. his statements were word for word IPOB propaganda. He said Kanu was ill. He said Kanu was denied counsel. he said his case was dismissed by the appeal court. Clearly he is IPOB sponsored. If he actually knew what is happenning, he would know kanu was the one who dismissed his lawyers, he would know Kanu was examined by the Nigerian medical association who certified him as healthy and I am almost certain the president of the NMA is an ibo man. I will give IPOB credit, they pumped serious money into lobbying American politicians.
|
3Ceagle:The biggest mistake supporters of IPOB made was to lobby Trump to invade Nigeria. With that singular action, there is no way any president going forward will release Nnamdi Kanu. |
NgeneUkwenu:i agree. the reality is no prisoner has been executed since the return of democracy so it makes no difference in actual implementation but I agree it should have been death sentence even if it would never materialize. |
DMerciful:even the prison is yoruba prison, we don hear...he go still spend life for prison. Ekpa dey prison, Kanu dey prison, who's next? |
I also understand it means he has lost his British citizenship. In the Uk if a naturalized citizen is convicted of terrorism he loses his citizenship. |
we've seen the last of Fendi. As a convict, he will now appear in court in prison uniform. The fendi try sha. Always buy quality clothes. |
HeavenlyBang:exactly! because he doesnt have the fundamental knowledge to diagnose. in the said video, some charge controllers would stop charging at a certain time of day even though the battery is not full. He never even bothered to check what parameters were set for the charge controllers. Instead he came up with some cock and bull story that high frequency inverters and low voltage charge controllers cant work together....can you believe that? A few people challenged him to explain why, he couldn't instead was spewing gibberish trying to confuse the uninformed with technical jargon as is the way of those trying to hide lack of knowledge. What does battery voltage (which is what determines the flow of current between devices) have to do with frequency of inverters or PV voltage of charge controllers? A battery does not know or care about the frequency or voltage of its charge source to the extent that the voltage in question simply refers to the voltages of the PV input of those devices. All a battery sees is voltage of the output of the Inverter or the CC. the output of a CC and the input of a battery only care about voltage and current will flow if there is a difference in voltage between them. If the source is outputing a higher voltage than the battery voltage it will charge...this is basic physics. I am not a professional, i am just an enthusiast. I was disgusted watching an educated man claiming this is his professional occupation spewing the kind of nonsense I expect from Jelili the roadside mechanic. The client gave him all the clues to suggest what the problem likely was. He said the CCs work EVERY DAY (negating his story that they cant work together), only they seemed to stop at a certain time of the day. Again, common sense would suggest okay at a certain time of the day the Bat voltage has risen to a certain level but battery is not fully charged, therefore lets check what charge voltage is configured in the CC maybe at that time the battery has sufficiently charged to the configured level in the CC. Afterall its not like the CCs dont work, they just seem to stop at a certain time of the day even though the battery isnt full which will suggest that when they see a certain voltage at the battery terminal they stop charging. So again common sense would suggest check the CC settings for the voltages set but Mr Cowboy without fundamental understanding of the basics never bothered to check the settings on the CC and instead ripped into the installer and wasted his clients money on new charge controllers. I had been putting up with his channel and his BS because initially there werent many Nigerian channels and most of the channels were foreign. That was when i stopped watching his channel. thankfully there are now many more Nigerian channels. |
helinues:I suspect there was a lobby by Ibo elders and politicians and probably (speculation) Tinubu may have commuted his sentence to a reduced term. However events have overtaken that possibility. 1) the outcry with forced Tinubu to reverse pardons for terrorists, drug dealers and murderers 2) the lobby by IPOB causing Trump to threaten the invasion of Nigeria. It is not good optics in light of the attention IPOB lobbyists have brought to terrorism in Nigeria to release or commute or pardon Kanu at this time and if he doesn’t do so now, he won’t after the election. |
AndroBlaze:Lol apologies. I studied Economics as well, though I had a science background. That was a faulty submission on my part. What I was trying to say but did not express properly with my unwarranted assault on those who studied arts was that he clearly doesn’t understand some fundamental principles of physics and did not take time to learn. There was a video where he displayed a fundamental lack of understanding of how a battery gets charged I.e what causes current to flow and the voltage of a battery to rise which led me to conclude he probably never studied/understood basic physics. I’d you don’t know why current flows, He will misdiagnose the problem, blame the installer and condemn perfectly good equipment advise his client to buy equipment he does not need which is what happened in the said video. |
Sentence und the act is death, no option available to the judge. |
AndroBlaze:I don’t have to watch the video to know. He’s had it coming. I’ve never seen such arrogant quackery in the Solar world. Smilinsun is a cowboy a quack, I’ve said it long time ago. The annoying thing about him is there is nothing worse than someone with half knowledge who refuses to learn or be corrected and Carries on as if he knows it all. Worse still is he insults or questions anyone who questions him or if he cannot explain a situation because of his limited understanding or knowledge he attacks the installer or the product. I only pity those who patronize him or watch his videos. I said it long time ago: casualobserver: |
seunmsg:He will struggle to find grounds for appeal. To start with by electing to submit a no case submition and not defend the charges, he cannot introduce anything at the appeal court he did not introduce in the high court. |
OkpaNsukkaisBae:buck not bulk |
b0rn2fuck:it impacts on the masses, you are just knowledgeable to know how it does. |
mascot87:actually the first minister of the FCt was a southerner. Ajose Adeogun. Although at that time, the FCT only existed in concept and planning stages. |
Whatever issues anyone may have with Fayose, OBJ is not the person to pontificate and deliver moral judgements. Obasanjo is a morally bankrupt man. |
i really dont understand what makinde is playing at, what his strategic plan is. |
Somebody cursed these people. |
Sheuns:We are still paying subsidies on electricity. |
Ibos like nonsense titles and fake awards sha! |
