You are confused
have you to tried to engage in a task and you keep getting distracted by someone or issues? Be discerning enough to know that just by distracting you your enemy has accomplished his task. So it is a simple mind that thinks this means Wike lost. If my mission is to distract you and i suceeded in distracting you, i have accomplished my mission. imagine how much progress PDp would have made in other matters in they werent devoting energy to this matter?

Try and be a bit more discerning and know when dogs are barking to distract you or else in your personal life you wont acheive your goals.

they say do not respond to every dog that bark or you will never reach your destination. Wike's job was to bark..he has accomplished his mission. he will continue barking not because he thinks he can defeat them but because he knows every distraction keeps them from acheiving their goal.

I didnt bring Obi into the topic...you did! This thread was not about Obi, you are the one who mentioned OBi and thats what you people do. He is only in our mouths because you keep trying to propagate lies.

obi is not a threat to anyone, the guy lost his own polling booth and has lost all elections he has sponsored candidates. particularly with what the ibos have done inviting Trump to invade our country, it is almost impossible for an ibo man to be president of Nigeria in the next 50 years talk less an IPOB sympathiser like Obi......so threat to who?

Many former governors have embezzled Nigeria clean. It's so unfortunate.

We keep saying it. Peter Obi is clean. If not, EFCC would have declared his generation wanted.
So basically 2 months ago the same you would have said Sylvia is clean because they had not brought out his file?

Peter is not clean. They just have no reason to bring out his file because they know he can’t win and is not a threat.

Sylvia’s file was always known. It was likely brought out as a way to arrest him without acknowledging there was a coup attempt.

You are a Nigerian politician, you have been a governor…..your hands are not clean and you have a file. Your file is brought out when it is prudent to.
Politics › Re: Full List Of Amended Charges Against Nnamdi Kanu Filed By FG by casualobserver: 4:17pm On Nov 09, 2025
shortgun:
grin grin You are a funny guy

The "amended" seven-count charge filed by the Federal Government against Nnamdi Kanu on 11 November 2022 is incurably defective in law.
By that date, the Terrorism (Prevention) (Amendment) Act, 2013, under which the charge was framed had already been repealed by Section 98 of the Terrorism (Prevention and Prohibition) Act, 2022, assented to on 13 May 2022 and gazetted on 16 May 2022.

Once a statute is repealed, it ceases to have any legal force and no fresh proceedings may validly be initiated under it.

The November 2022 charge cannot be regarded as a mere amendment. The previous charge had 15 counts, while the new filing has only 7.....this is clearly showing that it replaces the original charge .In substance and in form, it introduces new offences, making it a fresh charge rather than a continuation of any pending case.

The saving or transitional provisions of the 2022 Act apply only to pending proceedings, not to new ones commenced after repeal like the federal government has done.

Accordingly, prosecuting Nnamdi Kanu under a repealed statute offends Section 36(12) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended), which forbids conviction or trial for an offence not defined or punishable under a law in force at the material time. The entire proceeding is therefore a nullity, having been predicated on a law that no longer exists. In law, a charge cannot stand upon nothing; it must collapse.
Lord help us! If you hadn’t read it I would continue to engage with you. But you have read it and it is clear what the law says about ongoing prosecutions, investigations etc.

It is your right to play the ostrich and ignore what the law says. Unfortunately for you the court follows what the law says.

Death sentence awaits but luckily for him Nigeria has not executed anyone since the return to democracy.

Good night!
Politics › Re: Full List Of Amended Charges Against Nnamdi Kanu Filed By FG by casualobserver:
shortgun:
I know say Agbadorians get thick skull that can't comprehend basic things but let me try.

Why the prosecution of Nnamdi Kanu remains illegal is that count One and other charges against him are premised on the Terrorism (Prevention) (Amendment) Act, 2013, that law has since been repealed and replaced by the Terrorism (Prevention and Prohibition) Act, 2022. All the charges listed here are from the 2013 Act that no longer exists

Under Nigerian constitutional and criminal law, no person can be tried for an offence under a law that no longer exists. Once a statute is repealed, it ceases to have effect and any fresh proceedings based upon it are null and void.
When the leader does not read, you can’t blame the followers for ignorance.

The 2013 amendment under which he was charged is an amendment to the 2011 Act. The actual law is the 2011 law, the 2013 version was an amendment to the 2011 act or in other words a different version of the 2011 law.

The 2022 law repealed the 2011act and by extension the 2013 amendment or version under which he was charged.

However in section 98 (3) of the new 2022 act, it clearly states as follows:

(3) Any proceeding, prosecution, sentence, judgment, charge or cause of action pending or existing immediately before the commencement of this Act under any of the repealed Act in respect of any right, interest, obligation or liability, may be continued or commenced, as the case may be, and any determination of a court of law, tribunal or other authorities or person may be enforced to the same extent that such proceeding, prosecution, sentence, judgment, charge, cause of action or determination might have been continued, commenced or enforced as if this Act had not been made.

Upon his arraignment and re-arraignment, the provisions of the law he violated were read to him to which he replied that he understood and was not guilty. He can't turn around and be asking under which law is he being tried. Also, those laws were in existence as at the time he violated them. Notwithstanding that some of them had been repealed, he is being correctly tried under those laws.

Politics › Re: Why Does The Nigerian Army Logo, Have Arabic Inscriptions In A Sovereign Country by casualobserver: 1:11pm On Nov 07, 2025
Truths9ja:
Why does the Nigerian Army logo, have arabic inscriptions in a secular state?
The Arabic calligraphy on the logo of the Nigerian Army translates to “Nasrunminallah”, which means “Victory is From God Alone”. This slogan was first engraved on the Nigerian Indigenous Forces’ banner, which they used to fight invading colonial forces. Shehu Usman Dan Fodio, the leader of the Sokoto Caliphate, is credited with coining this phrase. Pre-Independence, it was adopted by the British. The British, however, gave it over to the country in a solemn ceremony just before the country’s independence.

Many people are perplexed as to why the flag’s motto is written in Arabic. The answer can be found in a chapter of the country’s history. Frederick Lugard, the first Commander of the West African Frontier Force from 1897 to 1899, used this phrase. Between 1899 to 1906, he served as the first High Commissioner of Northern Nigeria, and between 1912 and 1914, he served as the Governor of the protectorates of Northern and Southern Nigeria. Between 1914 and 1919, Lugard served as the first Governor General of post-amalgamation Nigeria.

During his tenure in Nigeria/West Africa, he identified Arabic as the only written indigenous language, notably among the widely dispersed Hausa trading class. As a result, Arabic inscriptions were utilized as insignia on official West African Frontier Force badges as well as coinage. This is still visible today, especially on the Nigerian Army’s emblems and flag.

I keep saying it that people are NOT smart.
And I have NOT been proven wrong.

For instance, the Representatives listed in this article are ALL REPUBLICANS. Even Ted Cruz is a Republican.

Their number 1 DONOR is American ISRAEL Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC).

The FALSE claim of genocide is being sponsored by Israel.
And it's easy to know why.

Plus, this are people who are so EAGER to get behind a FALSE claim of genocide but would NEVER say anything about the one in Gaza.

Many of them would even deny the one in Gaza.

Finally, these are Republicans and EVERYBODY knows that it's a party of PDFiles.
Let’s not divert attention from the real culprits here. The traitors amongst us. The enemy within. They live amongst us, they like to brag they are all over the nooks and corners of the country. They invite foreign armies to invade us.

Never forget.

See this picture below? That is why the US will never invade Nigeria. China has warned them in no uncertain language stay off. If US invaded Nigeria, China will use it as an opportunity to annex Taiwan.

Know this and know peace!

Yes they might sanction a few people but US doesn’t care about Nigerian Christians. This was

1) an opportunity to see if there was a way in to establish a military base in Nigeria after small countries in the Sahel kicked them out
2) an opportunity to create noise to divert domestic attention away from the govt shutdown.

“ BREAKING: BBC Exposes How Intersociety Fueled False ‘Christian Genocide’ Narrative That Misled Trump and the World

A bombshell investigation by the BBC Global Disinformation Unit has exposed how the International Society for Civil Liberties and Rule of Law (Intersociety) and allied Igbo advocacy groups amplified unverified and exaggerated claims of a so-called “Christian genocide” in Nigeria a narrative that influenced U.S. conservative media and even President Donald Trump’s perception of Nigeria as a “country of particular concern.”

The report, “Are Christians Being Persecuted in Nigeria as Trump Claims? authored by Olaronke Alo, Chiamaka Enendu, and Ijeoma Ndukwe dissects the dubious data behind shocking statistics, including claims that over 125,000 Christians were killed and 19,000 churches destroyed since 2009.

When questioned, Intersociety reportedly failed to present any verifiable or itemized evidence to support its claims, instead accusing the BBC of bias. The investigation highlighted how the group’s opaque methods and ethnic-centric framing have distorted international understanding of Nigeria’s complex security challenges.

While groups like Intersociety continue to depict Nigeria’s violence as a targeted jihad against Christians, independent monitors such as ACLED confirm that the country’s insecurity affects both Christians and Muslims alike, without evidence of a state-backed or systematic anti-Christian campaign.

Founded in 2008 by Emeka Umeagbalasi in Onitsha, Intersociety originally focused on governance and electoral reforms but has increasingly turned to identity-based activism often aligning with Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB causes.

The BBC Africa warns that politicized, unverified data not only fuels international misinformation but also deepens domestic divisions, urging for a more balanced and fact-driven approach to reporting Nigeria’s conflicts.”

Propaganda means a lie.

Is it a lie that he was engaged by Ibos to lobby Ted Cruz on their behalf for Biafrad?

Is it a lie he paid money to Ted Cruz?

Is the tweet I posted from the man himself mentioning the plans of the ibos a lie?

You can shout propaganda all you like. I provided evidence. Where is your evidence to disprove what I presented?

One way or the other this will be over. Whether you are looking to make a living in what is left of Nigerian (let’s be honest you can’t make a living in your 5 states) or Nigeria remains as one, unlike the 1966 coup, you won’t get to tell us it has nothing to do with the Ibos. This is the age of the internet. Receipts are all over the place.

If I were a governor of any state, when this is over, I would seize all of your properties on the grounds of treason. Inviting a foreign power to invade the country is treason. The terms of the land use act gives a governor the right to revoke any CofO on security grounds.
