Dangotes refinery will be ready in 2017
My guy, Dangote's refinery will siphon the profits into his pocket. The money OBJ wasted could have been used to create a limitless source of income for an education intervention fund. Imagine if just 10 percent of the profits from a refinery is being put into a fund for technical training of young Nigerians. Or being used to distribute basic medicine to rural hospitals. This is what we are talking about.

OBJ failed and he knows it.

The issue of drop in ooil price was predicted right from 2010 when the US began to invest in shale oil production. By 2012, US imports of oil had started dropping and even Saudi Arabia quietly raised alarm. During all this time she did not say anything or encourage belt tightening measures. She kept looking and pocketing money.

Now, people are advocating fire-brigade approach when the fire was seen before it reached our house. I tire for this country sef. They should not finish the money- let me also come and take my own because nobody is serious at all.

which travails .. she is an Economic Hitman , In the words of John Perkins, a former respected member of the international banking community. In his book Confessions of an Economic Hit Man he describes how highly paid professionals like him, help the U.S. cheat poor countries around the globe out of trillions of dollars by lending them more money than they could possibly repay and then take over their economies.John Perkins describes himself as a former economic hit man–a highly paid professional who cheated countries around the globe out of trillions of dollars.

According to him, people like our coordinating minister of finance and the economy are recruited by the west to promote the world bank hidden ideology of sustaining developing Nations in poverty indefinitely.

Please note, this is not to defame the character of the honourable minister or castigate her for being igbo, but clearly she is acting out a script and practising some sort of pseudo economics and playing its ultimate goal to “alleviate poverty”, but if you notice the long term goal is to make Nigeria to be buried in debt, and also she has been a proponent of placing restrictions on how money can be spent. We all know that when money circulates and is being spent ,money would flow and it would put money in the hands of the middle class and lower class. We would all admit that there is no money, in the meantime it is only the super rich who have access to billions of naira, while our Super Rich Forbes list billionaires are buying more jets and the super rich are flaunting their wealth, something is wrong with the economy.

This same economist adviced that Nigeria pay out $35 billion cash to wipe off all our debt six years ago. Now under the management of this same "economist" Nigeria is currently owing a fresh $10 billion, not adding the $1 billion being newly wasted on the Boko Haram war. A real Igbo economist will never give out $35 billion cash as repayment for a bad debt. Not when $20 billion will build two world class refineries anywhere in the world which will earn upwards of $50 billion in five years.

She was trained by the world bank to impose the harsh austerity policies prescribed by the IMF and World Bank as “solutions” but in fact they squeeze every last drop of wealth and resources in Nigeria.

And she keeps concocting stories that our economy has been rebased, She keeps Globe-trotting all around the Globe from one Economic summit to another , blowing aloud trumpet, that our economy is doing just fine, meanwhile the ordinary man on the street is suffering ,
Even her igbo brothers are miffed that hithero in the past, there was money available to the lower classses, for them to purchase goods.
Honestly, Confessions of an Economic Hitman should be required reading for all students in Third World Countries. People don't know how far. One functional refinery in Akwa Ibom is all we need to provide fertilizers and fuel for domestic consumption. The second one will allow us to export refined products to all of the western African coast. But OBJ, that blind fool refused to see it. He too was sent to destroy us.
PoliticsRe: Solution To The Continuous Fall In Naira by casualobserver1: 4:20am On Nov 19, 2014
Let us face facts. The fall of the Naira is good for the economy. A devalued currency helps local producers. That is why Japan's economy always sinks when the Yen gets too strong. The only problem is the way that the Naira is going down. The fall should be controlled by CBN not dictated my the larger markets lack of faith in Nigeria's economy due to world crude prices.

If you notice, price of imported fish and chicken will increase, making local alternatives more attractive and helping the local producers make profit and therefore expand leading to greater employment. Price of imported cars will increase, making locally produced ones more attractive. If Nigeria wants to provide jobs fr Nigerians, imported goods must be made less attractive by either devaluing the currency or placing tariffs on imported goods.

PoliticsRe: The Travails Of Ngozi Okonjo Iweala. by casualobserver1: 4:12am On Nov 19, 2014
Ngozi Okonjo Iweala is the worst type of thief. She is a green snake slithering silently in green grass. NOI made BILLIONS of naira during the so-called debt write off, but continues to use her "modest" dressing to fool people. She did not leave the World Bank during OBJ era to help anybody, she came to help herself and some key members of OBJ's crew make serious cash.

The entire debt write off was a huge scam. OBJ did it because he realized he had no legacy to leave behind and felt that leaving the country "debt-free" would help him cover up. This is a man who was claiming that GSM was part of his legacy. You can imagine. Something that was started by Abacha. Iweala was only brought in to make people less suspicious. If a typical Nigerian minister was in charge, people would have looked at it more closely.

why bother contest the election? Have you heard what's going in Burkina-Faso?
You can't compare the situation in Nigeria to the situation in Burkina-Faso. Compaore is hated by almost all people and is only in power because he is a French puppet. His job is to keep the steady flow of people moving from his country to Ivory Coast to work in the Cocoa plantations. The French have assigned Burkina-Faso a slave labour camp, a reservoir of cheap labor to provide labor for their colonial plantations in Ivory Coast.

Jonathan, whatever you may say has a HUGE base of support. He is sen as a symbol of hope for many of the minority tribes that have been marginalized under the old WAZOBIA system that basically says that only the Yoruba, Igbo and Hausa are worth mentioning in Nigeria. His religion and his clever use of Boko Haram is also a source of support- the Christians in the North will support him to the last, and the Christians in the south are very likely to do the same. Hate him as much as you want, but don't say that he has no support or speculate that he is on Compaore's level. He isn't.

What you intelligently espouse is even established scientific fact and the basis of many formal studies which ultimately go on to conclude that the most vociferously homophobic men are the one who fear their own subconscious homosexuality and effeminacy. Your conclusion is exactly the same as many scientific studies which suggests that balanced and assured men, secure in their own sexuality, have no reason to hate gays to the extent of wishing them harm i.e extreme homophobia.

I think human relationship, in the simplest form, must focus on preventing wrong (rape, murder, assault, robbery, terrorism et al) blighting the lives of law-abiding citizens. Can all those who have rushed to support the lynching of gays here make a cogent argument for how the private and bedroom activities of two adult gay men harm them personally or constitute a direct criminal act against their person or that of their loved ones?
Oga, what you are doing is pointless. The people you are talking to are secretly angry with the situation of the country and the way the commonwealth is looted by a few untouchable people. It is this anger that makes them set upon any vulnerable person in the area. Homosexuals are a very, VERY easy target for such brutality. What they do is frowned upon by many religions and for that reason it is easy to mobilize people to hunt them and kill them.

LAST BULLET: As for the guy they beat up, my advice to him is to apply for asylum in Canada. now that they have beaten him, he can easily be given asylum in America, Canada or UK and even get a job as a spokesperson for one of the many organizations that are promoting gay rights. In short, him own don beta. LOL

PoliticsRe: Amaechi Has Lost Decorum, Says Presidency by casualobserver1: 8:12pm On Oct 26, 2014
The big lesson here is to avoid marrying people that are troublesome. The fact of the matter is that due to the major role that PEJ played in bringing her husband to the level that he is, he simply cannot control her. That woman has tried for him and if not for her he would be nobody. This is why she sees his power as president as her own power and why she usurps his constitutional authority in order to further her own agenda.

PEJ is a tough, but "local" woman. Many first ladies have wielded enormous influence all over the world, (see Grace Mugabe, Hinda Deby, Hillary Clinton) but the way she goes about her own is too crass and blatant that is is bound to rub people the wrong way. The reason that Jonathan and Amaechi have fallen out is to do with PEJ's wish to control the destiny of all people of her ethnicity regardless of what the governors wish.

This is one reason why Tii Sylva had to go and why Seriake will be given red card if he is not careful. This whole situation is just too bad.
PoliticsRe: Latest Oil Price: $44 per Barrel - Crisis Looming by casualobserver1: 8:04pm On Oct 26, 2014
Guys,

It is Saudi Arabia that is causing the price to come down so sharply. The Saudis have close to I TRILLION dollars in reserves and want to kill the US shale oil industry. They know that once prices reach $70 the US shale industry will simply collapse as will Canadian Tar sands industry. The Saudis prefer to take some cuts now and deal with $70 oil in order to maintain dominance in the long term. The fact of the matter is that the Saudis and the US have stopped being close for some time now.

Differences over the way to handle the Syria crisis, Iraq, and ISIS have caused relationship between the two of them to cool significantly. The other big issue is the idea of a deal with Iran which will lift sanctions and boost Iran's prestige and power in the region. The US isn't too upset with what Saudi is doing because they can use it to pressure countries like Nigeria, Venezuela, Iran and Russia who they have geopolitical plans against. Venezuela's economy is collapsing and Putin's Russia is bleeding money due to low oil prices. Iran is also taking damage and the US wants to use it to pressure Iran into giving up its enrichment program and agreeing to supply gas to Europe- further isolating Russia.

Do you guys see it now?

My guy, what we have is unplanned urban sprawl fed by unrestricted rural-urban migration. If the rural communities can be provided with amenities and opportunities through improving opportunity for agriculture the flow of people to the overcrowded cities will reduce and might even stop or be reversed.

It is like a 3 bedroom house where only 1 room has mosquite net, fan, AC and mattress. The people of the house will rather pack themselves into the room with amenities than sleep in a room where they are battling mosquitoes while sleeping on the floor with no fan or ac. Do you get?

In saner countries, people give birth to only children they can take care of.
Why don't those people have a source of income? This is what you should be asking. Nigeria has a population that isn't even enough to tap its natural resources. Our greatest problem is RELIGION followed by Tribalism
My guy this thing you called tribalism is actually nationalism. Europe did not begin to develop until entities like the Austro-Hungarian and German Empires were dismantled allowing for self-determination. The borders of a country set up the rules that is is governed by. Nigeria's borders were designed to make it impossible for us to develop because there would always be disagreement. Same with all of Africa. Sudan spent almost 60 years fighting because of the existence of insane borders. It is only now that they have made some progress but they are still being destabilized because North Sudan has not finished with them.

During colonialism out people wanted independence but we didn't get it. Read A Squalid End to Empire by Harold Smith and learn about how Britain sabotaged Nigeria. They knew that Nigeria as it was configured was unstable and they wanted it like that. They want us to keep fighting each other so that we will not look at them while they carry our resources.

I agree with you on religion though. If we can become more secular in outlook, we will be able to look at situations without sentiment and actually chart a course. The sad thing is that the Nigerian Elite are not religious at all. They only form religious to decieve the ignorant masses. Ask anybody that is close to the elite. They don't give a damn about religion or morality. This is the same thing with ruling classes everywhere. The Saudi elite are notorious for their depravity.
