OP,I realize that you posted this from Naija gisthub but I wonder which match they were watching because everyone affirmed, even the commentators that our DM,DANIEL DAGA was Man of the Match after effectively protecting the back 4 and snuffing out most of their midfield threat forcing them to start using their wings as there was no joy for them through the centre. Special mentions go to Emmanuel Umeh who changed the game after coming on,Abel Ogwuche and Solomon Agbalaka who were our Central Defence pairing. Make people wey dey write about football actually dey watch this ball. kidap: |

GODPUNISHALABI:FIFA would be mighty glad to toss our boys out.Since 2013 when the whole Nigerian team except for one player was decamped due to failing the MRI Test,MRI tests became compulsory for African and South American teams as they are the main culprits of age-cheating due to lack of records in mainly poverty-stricken parts of the country where most footballers come from. An MRI bone test has an error of +/- 2years and so the oldest that any player can be in this competition is 22years old.It is a fair contest. Cheers! |
Romance / Re: A Quick Question To The Married Folks Here by Cavalier: 2:32am On May 17, 2023 |
Iamgodskid:Dear OP,being a married individual of 16years,I can tell you that it needs continuous work on your relationship with your spouse. You will need to come to terms that every change you see in your spouse over the course of the marriage is mostly what you allowed to happen assuming you didn't see that trait from the beginning if it is a negative trait. Accept that you both will change physically, emotionally and mentally and you need to love the new person you see over time. Constant communication is the key to maintaining a healthy relationship because the bond is stronger when you're used to communicating verbally and telepathically. It is easier to do this when you're both able to be vulnerable to each other. Love changes over time and not fades as some allege but it is the friendship between the spouses that keep the relationship strong.Where there is selfishness and each is pursuing their individual goals, there is bound to be fissures in the union. Marriage is ideally supposed to be 2 people becoming one in body, spirit and purpose.Anything less than that is a faulty foundation and it will collapse like those Lagos buildings. |

Hey cocococo, if you read my post correctly,it was purely reported speech which I would still have repeated if I was given a date now to look forward to. There are always intrigues in Nigerian things and so everything planned remains tentative until it actually happens. If you remember, someone here said GT APLs would be out on or before 14th February and it did after many tentative dates that may not have been wrong but was just not in sync with some top dog's interests. cocococo: 3 Likes |

Very funny,Benflash; don't give in to such temptations. Why would I be talking about GTs when I have no interest in that cadre? I am an EH and expecting the APL for the highest EH category and I know what my inquiries are about. I will help by throwing some light into what has been occurring since I last commented here: Our dear MKK has requested the completed EH list and sent it back to the Review Panel 3 DIFFERENT times in the last two and a half weeks and no one knows exactly what he is checking for. The onus is on him to release the consolidated list which has been ready for three weeks plus now.We have no choice but to sit down and wait. BenFlash: 8 Likes |

Another highly credible source confirmed to me on Friday that the process is more or less concluded and asked me to watch out from Tuesday next week for the successful list of candidates. What I didn't ask was what the mode of transmission will be; whether by National Dailies or otherwise. Be hopeful guys, even if it doesn't come out on Tuesday we can be sure that it is within touching distance. Enjoy your weekend. cocococo: 16 Likes |

My dear, this just means that you weren't around in 2007 or you were not politically aware of the ongoings in the polity. It was so brazen that the Late President Yar'Adua had to apologize to Nigerians for the daylight robbery that brought him into office. I agree with you though that our educational system is collapsing yearly but this started happening before there was anything like PDP/APC or even democracy. The lack of investment in education by successive military regimes and then the civilian ones have contributed to the current state of affairs. Decades of rot in the system has made the chickens start coming home to roost. The youths however, will be forced to wake up sooner than later. This situation can't continue much longer. Don't worry;lolz. Juliearth: |

They thought (wrongly) that Jonathan was the bane of this country's progress, what can they say about this leadership and APC as a whole? Never in the history of Nigeria has election been rigged like that of 2019. The sad reality is that APC will not relinquish power...not with the breed of youths we have. Now I understand why our educational system is this porous: a deliberate attempt to enslave youths in the coccoon of ignorance, ignorance that would make them cash out big time and continue to remain in power despite being incapable of delivering. Hello Kelbee, The reason I haven't responded to all the innuendos being spun here is that there is really no update to be given. Definitely the list is ready and surely it has been sent out to the Minister as we all know. As far as I know, the court case has not been the reason why the list has not been released. They just haven't gotten around to it since the unfortunate delay caused by the whining politicians. The Minister wanted to use it as an Independence gift to the nation but after the brief pause in the process, he has been in and out of the country since that list and the report of the committee was sent to him. Now he has travelled with the GMD to Saudi Arabia and it is inconceivable that they won't talk about this process before they return to Nigeria from Riyadh. I am aware that the list is awaiting the Minister's go ahead. Till when he has the time to approve its release, we wait with fingers still crossed! Have a great second half of the week, everyone! Hello Chukxx, How are you doing today?I have been away from the thread for about a week so I just saw this comment today. As regards the recruitment, I believe the alerts being received by applicants show that the Executive have started taking action on the process after the committee formed to look at the list sent their report last week. At this point, no one has any further update as it lies within the purview of the President who doubles as the Minister of Petroleum. The payments show that the new salary scale has been approved as Panalyst and a few others have said here and an order has been given for the process to continue and bring it to its logical conclusion which will be the release of the list of successful applicants. It is not true however, that all those being paid the transport allowances are the successful ones.I can safely say that it is just the corporation trying to conclude that aspect of the recruitment. Someone also mentioned in his/her comment on this thread that the Presidency is too big to bother about something as little as NNPC recruitment; that assertion is faulty because as the main cash cow of the country, everything about it is of huge importance to the government of the day.Couple that with the fact that NNPC is under the Petroleum Ministry whose Minister is the President himself.Where else will the authorization to implement or cancel the list and by extension the recruitment exercise come from?Food for thought. Have a brilliant day, everyone! chukxx: 26 Likes |

Hi Truthcorps, A 4-man committee was formed by the Minister of Petroleum to look into the complaints raised about the list and its ethnic colouration during these 5-working days period and I can tell you authoritatively that they've sent in their report to the Presidency and it now rests with the Executive to take affirmative action on it and release the list when they feel it's right. Fingers crossed.!!! TruthCorp: 34 Likes 1 Share |

Hi Legendary Heroes, Irregularities points to the switching/replacing of names so far noticed of people who didn't even write the test with those like all of you who went through the entire process. Federal character issue was shot down immediately that kite was flown like I mentioned earlier as it has already played its part at the interview invitation stage.Post-interview,it has no place since your performance will not be a function of where you cone from. May none of us be victims of political maneuvering after the sweat, tears and blood we have put into this process. Cheers! Legendaryheroe: 12 Likes |

Ladies and Gentlemen,I have read through your posts with keen interest. The insults and the bashing of people with sources and those without as to which info is credible is funny and ridiculous. I just want to help a little bit with information that is available to me to help those in dire need of it. I am a Managerial candidate and so I wasn't interviewed with most of you here. Last week Thursday after the Presidential broadcast, the Minister of Petroleum ordered the NNPC Recruitment list as it was to be published. It was to be published in PUNCH newspaper. There was pandemonium in Abuja as all the politicians and new management who have been lobbying for name replacements since Kyari took over would've been left without their candidates being put in the list.Even the Minister of Labour went to protest that the composition of the list didn't show Federal character as it was lopsided towards the West and not evenly spread. He was then educated that while Federal character may have a role in the invitation for interviews, only competence and merit are considered after passing the interview. He soft-pedalled but the other powerful politicians made so much noise that the Minister suspended the order to publish on Thursday,3rd October 2019 and gave them 5 working days to sort whatever irregularities they claimed was in the list before he went to South Africa for his 3-day visit. He is back now and will expect their report before it gets published. If he stays true to his first order, then this list will likely be out in the national dailies before emails and texts are even sent out. I know kids of nowadays will complain about reading long write-ups. It is the bane of our country right now. No insults please,I could have stayed in my corner just to read and watch misinformation fly all around. At our managerial level of application, our channels of communication with the NNPC are quite different. You may choose to believe or not.Have a great week, my people. 58 Likes 2 Shares |

Hello Everyone,I have heard Jarus and another interviewee say that they were Managerial candidates at the Mock Interviews and at the actual interview respectively. I applied for the Managerial position but have been told by some friends who are Managers in NNPC that they're doing the GT & EH first and then they would come around to the Managerial Interviews. With what I have heard from both Jarus and BMedia,I have my doubts now about what I have been told. So can our candidates who have interviewed confirm if they met other Managerial candidates at the Towers or it is just the Oga that BMedia met at his panel? Thanks in advance for your responses. 2 Likes |

I concur with the poster that said volatile things should fall on all those agents and beneficiaries of DSTV's largesse that want to hamper the realization of the dreams of the common man in Nigeria. -For the daughters,I would tell her that she should be everything she wants her mother to be to her father. -Both of you should never be angry at the same time;if one is venting,if you cannot reply in a controlled manner,it is best not to speak at all till the venting partner has chilled out. -Like my mum told my sisters on getting married,"If you catch your husband cheating and you cannot stand it,you will GO; and if he catches you, you cheating, you will still GO. So you must pray it doesn't happen but be wise enough not to overreact without looking at the bigger picture of what your lives together mean." -Don't let your anger for your spouse crossover from one day to the next.Bury hatchets before the day breaks and for those knotty issues that don't get settled overnight, seek the face of GOD for healing of your hearts. Most importantly, let GOD be the arbiter and the center of your family life/home.Pray together always as a family. -For the sons,I would tell them to respect and be protective of their wives because therein lies the key to a healthy atmosphere in their homes. -Laying a finger on any woman is an act of cowardice;it means you are neither creative enough nor man enough to deal with a woman even in their most annoying state. There are many ways to make a woman humble without beating her.Be imaginative. -Do all you can to provide for the size of family you build. That is how you can walk with your head held high and not become hypertensive later because if you let your wife pressure you into having more kids than you can cater for,she will be the same one to nag you to death about their welfare later in life.Be wise. -Don't let your anger for your spouse crossover from one day to the next.Bury hatchets before the day breaks and for those knotty issues that don't get settled overnight, seek the face of GOD for healing of your hearts. -Most importantly, let GOD be the arbiter in your home so seek HIS wisdom as HE has made you the Spiritual Head of your home;your actions or inactions will determine in many ways, the destiny of your family.Pray together always as a family. 1 Like |

But isn't it d state govr that normally nominates ministers and send to mr president b4? Hw come amechi's name is on d ministerial list where wike would not have nominated him in d 1st plc? Abi na godfathers dey nominate ministers for apc constitutions Nawaoo dis apc self I just tire for their style o. President Buhari has said that since every state governor has the exclusive right to choose his commissioners without interference from any other arm of government or politician, he[PMB] will also retain his political inalienable right to choose his ministers without recourse or approval from any governor.that explains why Wike would not have had any input as to who PMB would have chosen for the ministerial slot for Rivers. By the way, governors nominating ministers for the president was a PDP policy and not constitutional according to the laws of the land.buhari therefore, did not break any laws by choosing his own men and being his own man.cheers!!! 1 Like |
