I am yet to understand how Customs is culpable if an importer decides to abandon his cargo in the ports till it becomes overtime cargo. Every importer worth his salt knows that there are laws and regulations guiding importation of goods into Nigeria. If you allow your cargo to stay beyond 28 days in the port complex without clearance, the goods automatically become overtime cargo and will be transfered to Ikorodu to prevent over crowding of port space in Apapa,Tin Can and other main Lagos ports. Secondly before you auction goods, there must be condemnation by a high court. The senator probably knows all this but as a typical politician is playing to the gallery. |
Ishilove:Aunty Ishilove, Old skool in mi. Age ain't nothing but a number. |
I also feel some of Fela Ransome Kutis early songs before he became radical, should be on this list such as Ekuro, buy Nigeria,Aya was no, and Ojo Monday, should be on your list.@Naptu2. Fela did not start music as a social commentator and a lot of his early albums, although not popular are very, very good. Davido and Lagbaja have tapped into his early songs, modernized ttem and used them to become popular. Even Ebenezer Obey tapped into early Fela songs and made dough. |
Ishilove:Actually, it is Rosemary Ogunro. She was a broadcaster with FRCN,back in the day, before branching out into moonlighting as a musician. I really don't know what happened to her. Most musicians back in the day were one hit wonders. |
The group Osibisa, although mostly populated by Ghanians, had a sprinkling of Nigerians over the years they were on top. I think their song Celebration, should be on the list. @Naptu2, You have not said anything about the group BLO,which comprised of Lemmy Jackson and Tunde Odunmosu. I can't remember who theN stood for but they were a bad funkified group in the 70s and 80s. They had a song,"Back in time",that used to rock the air waves back in the day. Oh! Nostalgia..... |
And I think the song "Going back to my roots",by Lamont Dozier, should be on this list. The Yoruba lyrics on that song were written by Orlando Julius, although I not sure he was credited on the album. |
naptu2:I think that Onyiara song was initially sang by multi instrumentalist,Jake Solo. I am not sure but that guy was a bad mudafocker. |
naptu2:I thought his name was Dan Ikechukwu? |
naptu2:I still think Ofege is one of the greatest bands to come out of Nigeria. Their lyrics were just so ahead of their time and most of the songs we have today. And they played real instruments too! Melvin Ukachi later went Solo and I still feel his lyrics are miles ahead of any of today's stars. Naptu2, This your list is not complete without BLO and Jake Solo. What about Dan l- Monkey come chop banana? Nice list though. |
While it is painful to dominate a game so much and not be able to get a goal,we need to take the positives and support the colours /team. United are a work in progress and I am 100% positive that Jose will get it right in the end. Jose is a proven winner and in the end I believe he will make United winners again. It might not be this season but in the end Jose will get this team winning trophies again. |
Oasis007:Watch the replays. My opinion. |
Oasis007:I believe De Gea shouted for Smalling to leave the ball for him, unfortunately Pedro was faster. |
David Luiz should have been sent off for that dreadful tackle. |
![]() Hahahaha! Where are the naysayers? 3-0 at half time? More goals to follow. Then on to Chelsea at the weekend! Hahahaha! |
Hmmmm. |
This is saddening. To think I was sharing the first post by the OP to my followers because I was so touched by the story. GreatGod2012, may the Almighty God replenish your purse and bless you and your family, because I know what it means to take time out of your busy schedule to visit a person in need, make donations and later find out that the person is a scammer. To the OP,my sincere advise to you is to retreat from this road that leads nowhere, buckle up and do a honest days hard work.Do you know your fraudulent, unrepentant scamming stories will prevent people with genuine help needs from receiving help? Do not invite curses on your head. |
Chestar5:Against a title contender like Liverpool, at Anfield, away. A draw is a very GOOD result |
Wingback:Come back and talk to me when you win 20 fvcking titles! United till I die. |
Hahahaha hahahaha an! Where are the naysayers? We went to Anfield and got a draw. This was supposed to be United's destruction. We were disposed to lie down and get steamrolled. Hahahahaha! This is a rivalry, almost like a derby. Liverpool players will know they have been in a fvcking match! 20 times is no freaking joke. Come back and talk to me when you win 20. It is not fvcking easy. And to the id1ot1c naysayers,-shut the fvck up! United till I die! |
A draw will be fine. [/quot Forget it! Even Mr Klopp knows his team is in for a match. This is not the Bundesliga. Any team can beat the other in this League because there is nothing like home advantage here. |
I still repeat,United can win this match. The best Liverpool can get from this match is a draw! |
Wingback:Hahahaha. Your comment is amusing. Are you watching this match at all? |
Where are the naysayers? This match was supposed to be the destruction of Manchester United. We were disposed to lie down and get destroyed. Hahahahaha! I repeat, the best Liverpool can get from this match is a draw. 20 times....no be joke. |
Hahahaha! To the naysayers. We are disposed to be 4-0 down by now but we are holding our own. I repeat Liverpool should be grateful if they get a draw. |
I had high hopes before but now? I don't know[/qu Support your colours. |
eph12:No wahala. The match go soon start. ![]() |
Wingback:How do you want me to put my mouth where my money is? Tell me and I will do it. Like I said this match is like a derby, even if it isn't one technically. The worst result is a draw. I am tipping United to win this match. |
The lack of confidence among Manchester United fans is disgraceful. This is a match with our greatest rivals and form or home advantage counts for nothing. A lot of people will be surprised and shocked at the way United will approach this game. 20 times....we fear no one. |
Ipisi:While congratulating Rangers on winning the League again, after so many years,I agree with the OP,that this is a very mediocre way of parading a trophy. That truck looks dirty and dangerous. |
Dyt:Shebi I don't dey follow you naaawww. Drop account number ki awon boyz San owo si account naaaw. Old skool ni mi,sugbon no ja sii.(street slangs) |
Dyt:Respect is reciprocal naawww. Talk am here now or make you post your account number here so we go pay into your account now. But your story no dey convincing yet. Please add pepper and maggi sauce so DAT we go fit believe you,ma. |
Dyt:The PM will not work, because I have forgotten the pass word. Sorry ma. |
