Politics › Re: Igbos Are Being Marginalized And This Is Evidence - Reno Omokri. by cbrass(m): 9:16am On May 26, 2017 |
Real2020: What is funny is some Nigerians particularly yorubas think it's natural and okay for Lagos to have 2 seaports and largest functional international airport by design and for SE to have none. Some actually think Lagos has all these ports and airport by merit. When you try to to reason with them that why are Port Harcourt, Calabar, Warri, Onne and Onitsha ports not as functional as Lagos ports, they come up with all manners of excuses but you tell that that Dangote is using Calabar seaport to import most of his goods into SE, and then they keep quiet.Lol! Same goes for the airport, why are Lagos, Abuja, Kaduna and Kano the only functional airports in the country for international direct flight services? The fact is if you go right now, I mean now, to Lagos and Abuja, count and interview those traveling to international destinations, I assure you over 50% are Igbos. Then why can't they travel directly from Enugu, Uyo, Calabar, Asaba or Port Harcourt? Same goes for their goods...all these companies Reno talked about in Nnewi, Aba and Onitsha import their goods via Lagos port, that's over 1000 kms drive and paying all kinds of customs fees and bribes on the way to finally make it to SE, and you tell me this is fair?
Yorubas...how will you people feel having to drive 1000kms to SE to fly and clear your goods? Not only do you do this one time only but a constant thing for the past 50 yrs? And you think it's ok? Yorubas....where are your conscience? Do you people have feelings at all? Do you have hearts? I commend Fayose and Fani but more yorubas need to come out and condemn this evil and wickedness! Why do you call out he Yorubas on this, are they the only people in Nigeria? |

valdes00: An investigation is currently ongoing on Chelsea FC arranging with betting companies creating an option for John Terry being substituted on the 26th minute. The Chelsea captain was subbed to mark his last appearance for the legend and to celebrate his shirt no. 26. Thousands of people have been said to pick the option having gotten the info earlier from an insider in Chelsea. If found guilty, Chelsea will be stripped off the title, relegated and a further 7 points deducted which will serve as a warning to other clubs. As such, this will see Spurs crowned Champions after a remarkable season and Arsenal back in the UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE. For more jokes send ARSENAL to 419!!! I almost believed this and was happy arsenal is going back to 4th |

dhtml18: Whenever I get called in for a project that I don't know head or tale, no matter the money - I just do EVASIVE MANOUVER. I wont allow someone to talk me into WAHALA! Bro, I learnt my lesson o, . Have learnt a lot about somethings on this thread I must admit, I need to brush up in some areas highlighted by some contributors on this thread |

I learnt a big lesson that day, the guys were politicians children and somehow pushed for a school management system with no clear cut Road map and briefs. They just asked me to start coding na so me too jumping even though I no sabi too |

dhtml18: ^^^that too happens. Right now, something is happening in a big government hospital in Nigeria. A company came and said they could build a hospital management system, they pushed button, signed contract, collect money.
Somehow they got to get my number and were calling me to come and help them do the stuff, i no answer them o. Imagine, they went into contract without having a programmer, collect money, they are now looking for a programmer to kill - no be me, I have better things to do with my time.
How will that type of thing not fail? Bro I have jumped into that kind of scenario before, it was God that saw me through. At the end the project failed.i simply ran to ogbomoso when I saw the whole problem have gotten my self into. |

dhtml18: Yes, I need to draw E-BLOOD. You guys know that one of the things I hate the most on this board is: RUNNING OF MOUTHS (WITHOUT CODES TO BACK UP THE RECURSIVE-RUNNING-OF-MOUTH)
So I am up for a free and fair challenge, at the end of the challenge, there will be: A. Winner - Programmer (Programming-Troll) B. Loser - Talker (Talking-Troll)
Ordinarily, I would have kept quiet, but you know what - this thread is an AFRONT to all boys like me that are self-taught. I read countless blogs weekly, read articles, read documentations, read programming practice, i write codes (open-source, close source), i do unit testing, end-to-end testing, debug countless apps, write websites, mobile apps, code multiple languages as a result of hard-work, learning e.t.c
And someone is trying to rubbish all that. By the way, in case you guys are not aware, when companies (even oyinbo ones) want to employ programmers - they dont make it compulsory in many instances that you must study computer science and all that, o yeah, I have seen many adverts on twitter.
I dont want to start counting so many of my tech achievements here so that some people will not go and commit suicide. You are very right.i don't know why these computer science students think we self taught are never do well. I was at an interview for a project and the reason the man gave me was because I told him I was self taught. He said I would have experienced a lot of things and BTW I no good reach that level like that o.lol I also read too but mehn I don lazy these days o. |

dhtml18: I shall always argue with you on this matter - fine, software engineering is great, but does not guarantee a great and successful programmer.
Some of the PHD holders I know in this industry, cannot even smell some of the places that I have coded to. When they see my true colors, they just OPEN THEIR MOUTHS LIKE A BUNCH OF MONKEYS!
If you doubt me, we can start a new thread where you can openly challenge me to a task we can agree on - such as hacking this programming board or any basic thing that you wish so that I can demonstrate my power!
Fine for some courses like Medicine, Surgery, Civil engineering, it is important to go to school - but it is not so for programming.
I can floor many of you guys here in JAVA and many languages, fine, I might not be able to even define what a compiler is, what it means for a language like kotlin to be statically typed e.t.c but when it comes to what matters - building something that works, I will floor many many of the fully software-educated TROLLS anytime! Baba don vex o |

abescom: The amniotic sac. All pregnant women have it. It protects the baby. My wife's broke at 6 months plus but she survived it and delivered at 9 months two weeks.
She was admitted several times so much I told the doctor to remove the baby and save my wife. But both of them are seated here with me 1 year one month after and we are happy.
It is grace. hmm that's really scary, so what are the things one should be careful to avoid water breaking next time, btw cant they just put another water there |

ViiCODE: Yes. It's possible. Our class was grouped into 2 and the other group created a scripting programming language and my group created a general programming language.
Though the languages created are not sophisticated like the already existing ones, they can still do some things like solving simple arithmetic problems. All these were created within the first semester. when you are done with the language please let us know so we can learn it, |

One thing I have come to realise is that, there is no bad programmer and there is no good one, we get better everyday, and this applies to any country , dhtml18 once said something some years back that someone who can write a good flow chat about a problem already solved the problem, i.e we first become programmers by our ability to think critically and not necessarily the code |
