Good Day House,

I know this has been discussed a couple of time but we need precise advice on this.

One of the companies Hubby worked for was sold in 2010 and EA has asked for some feedback which includes a reference for everywhere he was employed as an Engineer,We have tried to no avail to get a reference for this particular Coy now we have resolved to do a statutory declaration for work experience,Am asking anyone who has gone through this process or who has an exact knowledge of what we should do to please share here so others can benefit from it too.

Let me add that because of the plenty Ajala the traveler we have been doing over the years Hubby cant find his employment letter but has been able to lay his hands on some payslips after some rigorous search.

Find our stats below Hubby:Electrical Eng 1st degree,Oil and gas Eng M.sc,Age:38,Work experience 4 years,IELTS 6.5 and above.

Me:1st degree B.ED,Age:34 IELTS 6.5 and above

I calculated our points to be on 120.

My questions are at what point do we need to do assessment before EOI or after EOI?

Also do we need POF if so how much for family of 3?

I very much stand to be corrected but no PFA will give you a letter stating that,it's purely unethical as someone has said and could cost whoever signed that letter their job of found out seeing that such letter isnt truthful and misguiding.Immigration lawyer or not.

I worked with a PFA and can categorically tell you that the only funds you have access to if you are below 50 for private sector and 60 for public sector is the 25%hardship withdrawal which comes to play 4 months after you resign or loose your job.

Except of course you are also doing the AVC (Additional voluntary contribution)This is assessible anytime.

Personally won't encourage anyone to go the PFA way when it comes to POF aside your AVC it's an encumbered fund and you will have no immediate assess to it.

You might want to find out from your friend if he had an AVC running,wondering why any HOD would take such great risk for him if he didn't.

Tooh that's my 2cent advice to all on Pension funds ad POF.

What works for one person may not work for another person just like you highlighted that your were refused by your pension custodian.

Evidence of RSA/Pension fund alone can never and will never be a primary and satisfactory way of showing POF.

For EA assessment as a Pet. Engr, it's IELTS (General); also EA has been accepting TOEFL iBT (this since Jan 2016).

While uploading documents to immigration website (after your invitation to apply), you'll see "Superannuation" in the drop down list as evidence of employment. Superannuation is same as PFA.
PFA is a strong proof you were actually working as your pension would be deducted from your salary before you receive your pay.... This was my case and I believe so many other people can attest to this.
In my situation, I uploaded my pension summary. It reflected the companies I worked for and the contributions made.
In my experience. Everything you tell immigration should correlate, that's all they want.

@Cecegal: For AMSA skills assessment. Go to AMSA Website and download Form No 12.
Complete the form and send with supporting documents. However, AMSA insists that before positive assessment is given, the applicant must be holding a COC issued by one of the countries Australia has bilateral ties with. You may check this on the Amsa website and confirm your brother's COC will be recognised. If yes, then he will have to sit for oral exams conducted by AMSA in Australia before +ve assessment is issued. If not, he may have to upgrade in Australia.

I received my positive assessment from AMSA on 6th June 2016, Submitted EOI on same day 6th June. Invitation received 2 days later 8th June. Lodged application on the 10th and now on bridging visa.
Meanwhile, I have a question. Will immigration verify employment information given even after skills assessment has been issued by an appropriate authority

Yea I did fast track. I am in oz. Came in as a student in Feb2015. Just finished my masters in environmental engineering here in brizzy. As per job outlook, its based on your experience and interest. As of now oil and gas isn't booming, so most most related opportunities in that sector are quite difficult to come by. If you are flexible, you can switch to the. Environmental sphere like water & waste water treatment, process safety or remediation engineer as environmental regulation is taken seriously and there are lots of brownfields. However if you want to get into plant design & operation, u can run a 6months course in Perth to bolster your chances of getting a gig. If u still like book package, enough research opportunities dey. Overall, by Gods grace when you come u will nicely fit yourself in.

Asper my fast track, it took one week for first response. Afterwords I had to do some corrections and add more documentation. When I submitted, I was given positive assesment the same working day.

Never mind figured this out,They do not even accept regulated professions sef

Just to update everyone on NB info session. I will be attending one in Dubai next month.
if your Noc is on their list go check them out. But you need to have your ielts ready, before you can Request permission to attend any of their sessions. They will invite you to attend if they believe your attendance will lead to them issuing you an ITA.
Also, recently they started issuing ITA immediately after the info session. So if you have your ielts, ECA, and money to spare for travel expenses, visit their website for more information.

Can you please leave off the X Ray till your baby is here?Am not a medical personnel just speaking from my personal observation and experience i live in Dubai and have had to do Xrays a few times one of the first questions always asked is if you are pregnant no one will do an Xray for a pregnant woman here.My clinic and hospital even have pictures of unborn babies pleading with their mums not to enter the room on the doors of Xray rooms.

Secondly i noticed i was always exempted from passing through the automated[Best English word i could use]security stuffs anywhere even at the Airports both here and in the States soon as they discovered i was pregnant.My take on this is if it has no effect at all then why the precautions?

My advice will be please do not risk it might be a 50 50 thing but its always best to be save than sorry.Maybe you can try writing CIC on her situation when you get ITA and see what they advice.I know Australian immigration lets the woman do it post pregnancy if they cant give a waiver.

I have a B.ED but have all my career experience in Admin so am at lost as the Customer Service Manager occupation is only on the CSOL i really do not understand how occupations on CSOL work yet except that it has something to do with State nomination which looks a little rigorous so am not sure.

1. The oil field is in Western Australia and northern part of Queensland, he can consider more of Western Australia.

You will have to google the template as it differs for each state. Averagely 2 bedroom is about $250/week, groceries depends on where you shop. Abt $100/week or fortnight depending on how you eat, childcare btw $75-$120/day subsidized to 50-80% for PR holders depending on income, movie $20


2. His BSc is enough. BSc and MSc earn 15points, he can keep the MSc.

3. If you go to Engineer Australia's website, there's a template for the CDR there and all required documents are also listed.

4. What is your occupation?

5. If you can get points from work experience, it is good to add it.

Thank you so much@Bellong for this thread the general thread was so confusing to read and a big thanks for all your contributions i had no idea Aussie PR was this simple lots of information from reading has saved us the headache of sourcing the web.I do have a few questions and would sincerely appreciate your inputs and suggestions.

We are a family of 3 looking to relocate for PR purposes looking at Canada and Australia currently at crossroads on deciding so response to my questions will go a long way in aiding us.

1.Hubby has a B.Eng Electrical and M.Sc oil and gas Engineering,Currently has a career in oil and gas,what States in Aussie has the best opportunities for him?@Engineers with PR in the house mbok help a sister.

Also can anyone help with a template or sites to get estimates for cost of living in Aussie we love to plan way ahead,Rents,childcare,groceries etc

2.Someone mentioned the Professional Engineer thingy about Engineers Australia so when he is filing for his assessment should he include his M.Sc or B.Eng will do?He is going to stick to the Electrical Engineer role since Pet Engine is being pulled out of SOL effective July 1st.

3.Anyone with sample of CDR template please help urgently needed,Also what documents will he need to access his work experience so we can claim points for it will reference letter do?

4 Like the Canada EE is it possible for us to do Individual applications then withdraw the other once either of us gets PR.

Lastly,If our stats is:25 for Age,15 for Education,routing to claim 20 points for English via PTE [Already did IELTS for Canny waka results not good enough to claim 20 points here] If we achieve this we will be on 60 points we are considering claiming some points for work experience to get 65 maybe we will get ITA faster but am wondering if this is even necessary as Electrical Engineering seems to have a good skill cap[This Year's own as of date is on 657 out of the over 1200 required and two more draws to go for the year.

Pretty good but the fact is that engineering is a regulated profession in Sask so he must be licensed to qualify to apply for Sask PNP.except he will go for a non-regulated engineering occupation.He should look at these nocs on the SINP in-demand occupation list 2232 and 8232.His qualification is well above the nocs,I am only suggesting.

Since your husband is an engineer, any province will do. For oil, you can target sasketchwan but you should know that engineering is a regulated profession in Canada and your husband has to go through some trainings and take some professional exams here before he can work as an engineer. In the meantime, if he has work experience, he can work as a technician till he is able to get his qualification.

We definitely have to go the PNP route Hubby is the PA[On basis of highest educational qualification]B.sc EE,Msc,Oil and gas,Finding a province that suits us is one of our major challenges now,useful suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
