Congrats Revlane, What an inspirational comeback this is for me I stopped coming here and the Aussie thread too because I was tired of getting depressed everytime I try to make headway and yet fall straight back on the ground. God bless you for this sincerity and post I know that I shall share mine someday soon. You just lifted a soul. More of God's hand of favour all the way. quote author=revlane post=61793351]My PPR story. I am not a fan of travelling so I invested in professional and academic qualifications with an MBA, MSc and chartered qualification, I couldn't achieve my goals. So from the the days of Zandora and Dupsyshoo, I joined to read and just read updates for several months. I wrote IELTS with contribution money and requested for remark when my writing was scored 6.5 and later it was upgraded to 7.5 My WES was smooth with help from a friend who paid part of it. I started this journey as a trial and ran to Australia nairaland because of POF. I came back when the process wasn't favourable. It became more real with ITA on March 1 but the worse happened. I lost all the money I raised for POF to Ponzi Schemes between February and April. From GHW to MMM, all my life savings was gone. And to make maters worse, I lost my job too. Life became meaningless and I was in debt so I relocated back to stay with my parents and they have been feeding me. From giving people money, I could no longer afford recharge card and I scampered around for POF. I submitted my application 6days to deadline. I was stuck later because my POF showed review required in my GCMS. Its was written in capital letters that THE PA HAS FALLEN BELOW REQUIRED POF OF 12,300. And my case was left to pure discretion of the Visa officer and the hand of God. Today its PPR because I never gave up, I knew my downfall wasn't the end of my life and that someday I will smile again. Nothing can stop you except you chose to stop.
Hi Tope, You do realise that for some people leaving isn't about what they earn or how comfortable their lives here is?Some people just want to be able to live and raise their kids in a saner society even if this means they will have to reduce their standard of living or earn less which I think might just be for awhile especially if you are realistic about your expectations, hard work always pays off in the end so life may not be so rosy as you relocate but eventually it will pay off. Secondly considering the uncertainties surrounding our country which has always surrounded it anyways people want to create other options for themselves and their children born or unborn,After all the president Senate president holds another passport,The one agitating for separation of the Country holds another passport and has his wife and kids safely tucked away in a sane society,Our president who didn't have money to buy party ticket during the elections his children all school or schooled in the UK,What of the Oga at the top himself? He has been Intheabroad receieving medical care.Bayelsa State Governor his wife gave birth a few months ago Intheabroad the child holds another passport.I could go on and on Most people who have lived outside of this Country will agree that it was a struggle to come home, some didn't the beauty of life and the power of choice. We all have personal preference and some of us will not stay in Naija no matter what we were offered as salary. The second half of your advice was a great one which buttress my point that there is nothing to loose by creating other options for one's self, considering his profile it's a win win situation for him. Cheers quote author=temitope06 post=58517985] Jeez dude, why are you trying to leave tho? You're 29 and earn 550k monthly with a lot of experience under ur belt and u wanna leave that for what? If this was my situation, o boy, f**k Canada o. Anyways my advice is forget that MSc bros, apply for PR straight. Even when u get it, go for a short landing, come back and continue working. After 2 and a half years start applying for jobs in Canada. Then move finally. Better don't complicate ur situation cos u wan comot naija by force. U got it good o.
Update people, After 10weeks i have received feedback on my EOR for my March 25th 2017 IELTS:Scores were:LRWS:877.5,6.5 There was no way I was going to accept a 6.5 in speaking this was my second IELTS I had a 7.5 in my first speaking I wasn't even as prepared as I was for this.I was very confident that I had done well in my speaking and in being pessimistic should at least have a 7. Imagine my shock and surprise when I received my TRF with a 6.5 in speaking I knew I had to contest that particular score now in other not to bore you further my EOR came back and my speaking was bumped from 6.5 to 8.That's more than an entire band I keep wondering what was running through the mind of the Nigerian man who examined me that day which made him conclude I deserved a 6.5,I wrote the April 8th as well and had an 8 in speaking. You see these BC Nigeria people let's just say I leave them for God. If you ever have any doubts regarding your results please do not hesitate to remark it might take time but it's better than never knowing still waiting on EOR for April 8th remarking Writing 6.5 as well and as I mentioned before it wasn't my best writing but let's see how it goes. #Okbyelemmegoanupdatemyprofile Further update on this: EOR for my April 8the IELTS got ready last week my contact was only able to pick up today Writing got moved from 6.5 to 8....This is way beyond what I hoped for now my April 8th scores are as follows;LRWS:8.5,7.5,8,8.I feel kind of bad because I would have gotten a direct ITA in May due to the low scores currently on 415 now till September. Please, please and please if you ever doubt that you should have gotten more always apply for an EOR. |
No occupation ceiling for this year yet? |
HI, If you are gunning for a 10 and can wait 10weeks max i will advice you ask for a remark in speaking if still within the 6weeks time frame from BC. That is how my speaking from the April 8th exams got bumped from 6.5 to 8.BC Naija their case is on another level. quote author=sunvick post=58206498]Sorry zili, you got zero point with this score, if you had gotten 7.0 in Speaking that earns you 10points. You would have to re sit for it.
Hi, Sorry for the late response,Am not familiar with how courier works as I submitted in person however I didn't get any email or sms notification. You would get a receipt if submitted in person as you would need the receipt to process your refund if your scores gets bumped up. Maybe email BC for a case specific enquiry. quote author=KweenCee post=58256188]@Cecegal and any other person that applied for IELTS Remark please i have a question for you guys. When you applied for a remark, did you receive an acknowledgement SMS or mail that they received your request? I sent my EOR through courier, I want to know if i should be expecting such from them. Thanks as I anticipate your urgent response.

Hey, You will get a mail from BC.Contact Kwa?Na Band 10 I for get na.Let's know how it goes all the best. quote author=youseuph post=58107281] This is motivating. I am equally awaiting the outcome of my EOR for speaking. But I will like to know how you got to know the result was ready. Do you have a contact in BC one can communicate with? Thanks
Hello, I don't have any experience@UniBen but I will just give you a few guide asper Nigerian Federal universities in general. 1.Be ready to spend money on mean money 2.Find out if UniBen does email verification as WES always sends email verifications to schools, mine was verified via email( i still spent over 10k for that alone Unical even though it was unofficial but I needed results and fast). 3.Be certain you are using the right person. Pet the person,be persistent with phone calls, send the person or persons recharge card and money they won't ask you for money but my dear your matter is on a longthing if you don't give theme money. You will be amazed at the magic a little 5k here and a 3k there or a 1000recharge card here and there can work.My entire WES transcript and verification cost me 48,0000 thereabout last year,The only official fee was 21000 yet the process still took 5Months Thank God I eventually found the right person. It's crazy i know but it's the Country we live in and it's one of the reasons why we are on this thread trying to run away.I am usually more focused on turn around time and results so if gratifying will do it then do it. Wishing you all the best,Will PM you in need your contacts for UniBen as well for a friend. quote author=sly4reall post=58117804]Hello Guys, I have been having struggles with my wife's WES verification from Uniben. Information I gathered from here (Nairaland) was that the verification can be concluded at exams and records. But my contact there is saying that upon receipt of WES verification letter, the verification still undergo processing going through some tables for signings, and then need to be sent back to WES via hard copy through DHL. That means another cost of N12K+ for DHL. Please who has done WES verification from Uniben before. I need clarification. I refused to use the contact that process the initial transcript because he used standard mail to send the transcript to WES Canada hence it took over 4 weeks to get there, that was after collecting cash for DHL. Please help.

As in it can't even wrap it around my head,If an organisation here told me my certs was forged I would be restless until I sorted it out as long as I am 100% sure talk more if an International organisation in a Country am planning to migrate to. Anyways everyone knows where it bites them most. uote author=WellEndowed post=57868511] You better engage them today. If they go ahead do you know it could ruin you? how can an organisation threaten to notify other bodies your result is forged and you are taking it lightly? ![]() Some of you take things lightly. How can they make such threat and you are still here asking questions?
Hello House, Please has anyone here successfully assessed with AITSL.Help is urgently needed kindly indicate.TIA |
Hello, As has been said over and over no need for regrets, pick the lessons move forward and use your experience/exposure to guide people. In addition to all that has been said i would like to add that you might want to consider Canada Express Entry with your age and IELTS results ITA shouldn't be far fetched. Maybe you can try running the two PR side by side and see which works. 40000 USD will do PR for the two with loads of change remaining to do MSC as a PR and still have money left. Its the reason we encourage PR over the Student route except in dire circumstances. All the best in whatever you decide to do. elirab: |

April 8th:Me:8.5,7.5,6.5,8.LRWS (Remarking writing although I rushed my writing task one as i spent so much time on the task 2,and didnt have any time left to proofread noticed some spelling errors would have loved to correct but pens were already up trying for that 0.5 is very important though. Hubby:8,6.5,7.5,8:LRWS (Remarking for reading and included writing as well he since its same money and he felt he should have gotten more.Staying really hopeful for the reading though that 0.5 is very much needed. studyexec: |

Good Day people, Quick question for those who had to go the 190 route looking at NSW and Victoria but on the EOI You can only select one State or any[This isnt a problem for Victoria as you still have to send them a separate application].The challenge is for NSW if i select NSW will they still be able to see my EOI for 190 hence nominate us since they do not have any other means of application for 190 except through EOI with Skill Select. Anyone to the rescue please,Where is that Brother who got Victoria nomination biko your attention is needed i need mentorship. TIA |
