ceechedah: Good morning Nairaland Fam,
Please for the accountants in the house, has anyone tried to evaluate his or her CIMA certificate (gotten through the CIMA-ICAN Pathway) with WES and what was the outcome?
I am on the verge of deciding whether or not i pay for the CIMA exams and use it to get more points as another certificate.
Please if you have gone through this route, please let me know the outcome, please. Please can someone in the house help me this question, please. Thanks |

Hi Guys,
Good afternoon. I just created my profile for the express entry federal skilled workers program, but I didn't see my CRS score their. My understanding is that after completing the application I am supposed to see my CRS score.
Please does anyone have this issue? Is there something I am not doing right or is there a place I should go to on my profile to check the score? |

Thank you, I appreciate your response. ArcUgo: It's fine you don't have to be worried. It just means that they've received your verification and it's under review. Probably later today or Monday your profile should be updated and a date of completion given. |

Fresty: if it changed back after you sent verification, then they are just telling you that they've received your verification. for every document you send and they receive , they acknowledge it with that message.
however, always email them whenever u in doubt. it's the surest way for clarification. cheers. Thanks for responding to my question |

Hi guys
I don't no if anyone has experienced this, last two weeks my WES evaluation page changed from "we have received your documents, you are required to do nothing at this time" to "received document awaiting verification". This week, it changed back to "we have received documents, you are required to do anything at this time". It didn't show that they have accepted my documents before changing back (the attached is not mine, I just attached it to show the change from the verification page and back to the initial page). I don't know if anyone experienced this, please assist to explain. Thanks

Chaiii people are just confusing me, some will say don't use ican others will say use ican. I am just confused By the way you have not revealed urself ArabianRose: Hi, I see you are abit confused, am no guru on this but I can remember this was discussed severally in part 3 of this thread, ATS was seen to get favorable evaluation for use in two or more certificates, but ICAN doesn't due to new syllabus or something like that. Please check out happytbaby's posts and part 3 thread as a whole, therein lies the answer you seek. As for statement of result, it's a yes, I used same. As for transcript, it should be addressed to WES. Happy sunday . |
Travel › Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 4 by ceechedah: 8:26am On May 06, 2018 |
vascey: Yes you can use statement of result. No you can't send transcript addressed to another organization. Thank you for your response, I really appreciate. I read on this thread that using ican won't favour me because it will be seen as a two year equivalent degree in Canada. However, someone who is already in Canada via PR told me she understands that using ican and your university degree will be seen as having two bachelor degrees by WES. Pls is this true? Should I send my ICAN and my degree certificate? Or I should just send my degree certificate alone? Note: I didn't do ATS |

Hello guys, someone asked a question about using his statement of result instead of his certificate. No one provided any response.
Pls I am in that person's shoes, I don't have my certificate and it's not ready yet. Can I use my statement of result?
Also i have my sealed transcript with me but it was addressed to my university post graduate department, can I still use it?
Your response will be very much appreciated. Thanks |

It obvious you know me, oya reveal yourself Thanks for your response tho ArabianRose: Good morning, you might want to check WES website, there should be info there about sending transcript yourself. By the way, your moniker rings a loud bell.. |

okdee: Hello, I'm doing my assessment with CPA,
1. yes the $453 is for both qualification and experience assessment, I had a positive assessment for qualifications but requested additional documentation for experience which I recently forwarded to them.
2. I paid with a foreign card as it was the most convenient for me, but i don't think you'll have problems with payment.
3. My ACCA was assessed to be equivalent to an Australian Bachelors degree, I believe ICAN will similar faith, and yes its not compulsory.
4. I don't know God bless you my brother Okdee |

[quote author=toslad post=62519158]I assessed with ICAA and not CPA @praiseisgood did with CPA so he is in a better position but I pressume the requirements are the same.
Go through CPA website and check their skill requirement for your nominated skill and ensure they are in sync with what you do (as per the tax consultancy role). As regards being chartered, I am not sure it adds any point if the courses you studied in school are among the required courses by CPA. Overall, I think you will get better information if you study the CPA website properly. You may however also reach out to praiseisgood for help.
Thanks Toslad |

Please I still need the help of someone who assessed with CPA to help me with these questions plssss ceechedah: For the accountants In the house who have assessed with CPA please I need your help on specific issues:
1) I would like to find out if the $453 charged by CPA is for skill assessment and qualification assessment, I can't find the fee for skill assessment alone on their site, 2)how did you go about the payment
3) I understand being qualified is not a requirement but I am worried about my chances of being positively assessed without my ICAN qualification because the first question they asked when I tried to apply is if I am a member of a professional body.
4) I am a tax consultant with 3years 6months experience, what are my chances for getting a positive skill assessment from CPA for Accountant(general) since tax consulting is not core accounting.
Please guys I need you help with these questions @toslad @Hephzibah @40manlappy.

MizzD: An hour 45minutes. The doctor apologised for the delay though because it was at the point of seeing her I was delayed, others were very fast. Said it is not a norm and I shouldn't be angry. Gave her reasons but wasn't paying attention. So, let's say this morning was an abnormal occurrence. They don't delay on a normal day. Ok, thanks |
