She initially chose UI as her choice of institution.The thing is, my dad is scared as he doesn't want her score to waste (he's online and has been seeing a lot of mad scores and reading sad stories of previous UI aspirants). He's suggesting she change to a less competitive school. She has O'Level: B2, B2, B3, C4, C6. From kogi.

Hello everyone. My younger sis has been writing jamb for over 5yrs now, applying medicine. She has been scoring well too. Like last yr she had 273 but BSU disappointed. She scored 296 this year. I want to find out if this score's enough to help her cope @unilorin. I advised her to put UniJos but she's worried she had 2Bs and 3Cs in waec. I'd appreciate ur advice.

UI has the best medical school in Nigeria, and highest carrying capacity for Mbbs, proven by NUC.

Yet UI with a capacity of 180, doesn't go beyond 165 for both DE, and Utme during admission process.

I understand what UNN is doing, they will admit student in their numbers, then weed them off en mass, as they go higher.

I am not in support of this kind of system.

The medical school there is a complete joke.
They over admit students across all departments.
I was there last week, during their lecture hours, you will not believe that more than half of the students were outside while lectures were going on. Medical students at that.
When I made enquiry, I was told they admitted more than 400 students for a quota of 150, imagine! Don't go there, you won't learn anything.

And they graduate without being expelled? It's hard to believe that a student whose name is Igbo and state of origin Zamfara will not be expelled. How do they get their state (LGA) of origin certificates from Zamfara, for example? Or do they forge it?

There's no special textbooks

Read ur jamb past questions especially from 2000 to 2008 page to page, if possible cram some answers. For English, know your spellings very well, up to ten questions on spelling fit show.

pls I want to know if Cross river is among UNN's catchment...I have been unable to get a reliable answer from most of the educational websites...hopefully someone can gv me an accurate answer

Cross river state is not among the catchment area

Only the 5 south eastern states make up the catchment area, and that is how it is for every federal university, only the states within their region make up their catchment
