that style of politics has all been replaced by nationalism all over the world.

even empires and so called kingdoms of those days were multi-ethnic. so when people talk about nigeria being impossible because it's multi-ethnic. they are talking out of their azz. ex.yoruba kindgom was composed of groups that spoke different tongues at some point and what held them together is the fact that they had to pay tribute to the same king.

this will be the ultimate dream.

India is a much better country to be compared to Nigeria. we were both former British colonies and a product of colonial rule. India is a rising world power today and it has even more ethnic and religious diversity than Nigeria.
Even the European countries are forming Unions (European Union) despite the great difficulty all in an effort to stay competitive in today's globalized economy.
The USA, China, India pretty much world powers won't be what they are if they had let some foolish secessionist groups destroy their countries.

isn't it better for you to pull your weight and work toward helping to lead the nation? Secessionist talk is just to me a sign of weakness. It is admitting that you can't compete with the other tribes to help lead the nation so you want a way out.

It is a crime only if you lose.The country has laws and so long as you are within the borders, the law applies to everyone. if you succeed in seizing the govt of a region then of course that country's laws will no longer apply to you. google is your friend. there are countless of secessionist and anarchist groups throughout the world even in the USA. In many countries, such groups are arrested for terrorism, treason, etc. they only win when the country is in a weakened position to protect itself (ex.somali, sudan etc). that's why it is in a country's best interest to have a strong government.
I live in the USA and every student learns in school about the American Civil war where the South wanted to secede from the North. Of course as a nation, the priority is to keep the country intact so the war was fought to preserve the union and that's why the USA exists today. people fought to keep it united. this was almost 200 yrs ago and now they are the world's super-power.
