Duke_Nija: Who is Jackie Chan Appiah?she is famous ghanaian actress jor |
anthony86: when I was much younger. I thought my Dad was harsh and mean so I Loved my mum than him.As i grew older and becoming a man of my own i realise he was the best person i have ever encountered. Men go through a lot to please their wives and raise their kids. Some are late (that is why you have so many widows around), some are in prisons not because they are bad but because they must meet ends means. Right now i must work overtime in office this week so as to but a BB for my sweetheart cos the fairly used one i bought for her 2 months ago just packed up.awww eyaa. kids just always love their mom more because that's who they spend the most time around. just make sure you balance your time to be around your kids. nowadays, many women are working just as hard or as much as men and rarely spend quality time with their kids as they used to. unless she's a housewife. house-helps are becoming the new "mothers" |
debby4: Lies upon liessss. This nairaland shud be closed down. There is nt even one truth in everything u guys said. She has a condition in her case note dat she's been battling with for years. U dnt all these and you are just writing lies. Secondly, d pregnancy was expelled from her because its becoming a threat to her. The fetus was removed because her condition culd no longer carry a baby. Why re u now saying she aborted and died because of d complicationsss.. U people must be judge by d spirit of d deceased... Stupid pple. This is what I believe. Poor woman. most of the posters on this thread are just useless amebos. Treating a young woman's death like a nollywood gossip movie. SHAME ON YOU |
fellis: What type of culture demands that children be present when a body is being lowered into the ground? What purpose does making them stand there serve?I don't see the problem with the culture. Usually the first born is present to pour sand on the coffin. sometimes if the parent dies young, that child will usually be very young. But that scene didn't go down well with me either. I felt bad for the boys for some reason. The picture just didn't seem right. look at the guy to the right of the boys he looks like he is not even related to the family at all and just using the opportunity to take pics with a smartphone. I feel like 80% of those people are unrelated to the family. there should be grandparents, uncles, aunties etc surrounding those kids. there shouldn't be a crowd there. at least not that vampire crowd. |
not a good look at all!! pull your pants up. no one wants to see ur azz cheeks. is this photoshop. or is it real? |
Something is off. Why does it seem like they're all in their 20s-30s. except for the two little boys. Where are the parents, aunties, uncles etc It just seems like a bunch of friends organized her burial and invited the whole neigborhood even the officiating "priests" seem like young boys just doing a performance ![]() RIP |
if everybody hates you so much then maybe you need to look at yourself in the mirror. and it's not just Nigerians. even foreigners. Everybody can't be wrong. besides, isn't it something to be ashamed of? what kind of fool goes about boasting that "everybody hates me" LOL and they see it as a source of pride. |
Silencer1: Father's hometown nko?wow....that's harsh. but this guy's obsession sef. she looks fulani, she's light skin. she's half-nigerian she has wavy hair I want to lust for her again. blah blah... man I don't know. maybe she wants you to leave her alone and trying to repel you. i mean if a woman can walk around wearing shower-cap and dressing in mens clothing with breast milk stain all over her body then damn ![]() something is wrong. of course she's happy. she just ain't happy WITH YOU and has transferred all her love to her kids. so you should maybe try to figure out what went wrong and fix it. |
the secret of my beauty... gosh, this question... i don't know... it's blah... blah... blah... ![]() LOL.

Ezeufi: dy/dx + y = 0.i didn't study derivatives. biko can you explain d answer to us. |

kudi ice: Religion is no longer the opium of the masses butfixed. These are Bieber fanatics. next thing you know they will be suicide bombing for Bieber. |
Billyonaire: The MODs are gods in Nairaland. They ban at will.this thread is full of irony... |
oh the irony. this is the same guy who has now become MOD and bans people left and right as if he's trying to fulfill a banning quota hahaha |
Paul John: There has been no highway linking the two countries beforemy thoughts as well. that's atrocious |
Vikin: The last thing he should be planning at this stage is getting a new wife. OgidiBoy: the guy is in pretty good shape and don't need to remarry.see all these akatas o. we're talking about a nigerian here. wait, let me go and find wife for both of you over-grown boys ![]() |
ndu_chucks: What great harm is done by the presence of ajami on our currencies to warrant its removal? Are you people complaining because it looks like Arabic and you are transferring your bigotry into the debate?GBAM! it is nothing more than that. and deep down inside, they also know it ![]() |
@Negro-Nts, In the same vein, I can argue that spelling out the number on the naira bills is pointless. If I see "100" I know what it means. Why do I need to see "One Hundred" written out? I smell Illuminati conspiracy. why would they put such pointless notation on the bill? |
babyosisi: Maybe he now wants them to leave deeperI hope so. because the behavior seems hypocritical. |
I agree with those that say that he married her knowing her choice to be conservative. why the sudden change? a woman who is perming her hair, wearing earrings and bum shorts for her husband will become unhappy. She should be doing it mostly for herself. She is forced to change her identity and no doubt she will become bitter about it. Even if she changes, the change will not last and she will revert back to her true identity otherwise, she might fall into depression if she stays unhappy. you can't force people to change for you. that's why you should open your eyes and marry someone who you are compatible with. that guy is not a true deeper-life member. I mean perming your hair and piercing your ears for earrings is not something you can hide from others and say "bedroom only". |
I don't think Ifully understand the question. If the wife left him for trying to relocate to naija, then why is he still in the USA? shouldn't he just pack up, sell his house and move back to Nigeria and start a new life there? because if he ends up just staying in the USA, then what will be the point of divorcing his wife? Why will he tell his wife that he wants to relocate to nigeria when he doesn't even have the concrete plans to do so? 7k will probably be just enough to relocate and live off for a few months maybe. all it will do is give him some time. but does he have a plan to start working once he relocates? as for diapers, diapers should be bought with salary. not savings. to me, savings are for emergencies. if you have enough for emergencies then invest the rest. if he can't buy diapers with a salary then use a condom. he has two kids already so why does he need more?... that's the difference between Africans and Oyinbos. Oyinbo people will not have kids unless they are financially prepared. we nigerians will have tons of kids even when we can barely feed ourselves. Kids should be out of the question if money is a constraint at the moment. 7k savings has no bearing. even 70k savings will have no bearing (i would probably invest that much on a house or education anyway). all it will do is give him time. because surely money will disappear if there is no means of replenishing it (ie. INCOME) Does he have investments? that's the only way I can see him earning an income on his money. but you say he has an office job so why should he need to tap into savings to buy diapers? when he is not unemployed. and doesn't plan to be unemployed in naija. in summary: all he needs is a GOOD JOB (whether in naija or abroad) and he'll be fine. |
FreeGlobe: now can you explain how this figures went from 43.6% to 33.8% within a period of 10 months going by the stats and its degree of occurrence there will be zero poverty rate in Niger State by 2016.what you made is called a projection but it's not an educated one. poverty rate will of course not go to zero. I hope that it continues to decline though (throughout the country) and stay low. |
Negro_Ntns: fashola has been wrong on a number of issues...this is one of them.it's all for the sake of development. When the Eko atlantic, train stations and whatever else developments arrive we will benefit. but it will all come at a cost, for sure!! http://www.globaltimes.cn/content/727947.shtml https://news.xinhuanet.com/english/photo/2012-08/20/131796188_11n.jpg |
Negro_Ntns: how does a simple discussion on why ajami is on currency become a political fight for you? you do not understand the political undertone in the message.it's not a political fight for me. you are the one who brought it up as a political conspiracy which I do not see. I only see it as a way for hausas (who are not anglophone) to have their mark on the currency. yorubas and igbos are anglophonic (english speaking). English is the national language and also features on the currency so I don't see any arabic inscription as a threat. I am not the one to judge the importance of ajami to the north compared to the importance of english to the south. But my guess is that arabic is on the currency also for historical reason. maybe in the future, nigeria will be mono-ethnic. but till then, I celebrate our diversity. you remind me of some fanatics who see the festac 77 symbol as some hausa consipracy something to do with iman heads on the benin mask. |
“Our mother tongue, Yoruba language, is not the responsibility that we should pass to the teachers. It is the responsibility of the parents to teach their children the Yoruba language at home. “We can’t blame the teachers for our children not speaking Yoruba language. We must be honest with ourselves. Other ethnic groups don’t suffer that affliction. “Now about Chinese language. I think we must continue to think about what our world would be like in the next 20 to 30 years and anybody who is being honest with himself would see clearly that from Britain to the United States, the Chinese are becoming our largest trading partners.” -Fashola http://tribune.com.ng/index.php/lead-stories/51066-why-we-introduced-chinese-language-in-lagos-schools-fashola-marks-2000-days-in-office |
and going to the banner. my thoughts on the banner is: China is to Nigeria today what England was to Nigeria in the past. http://tribune.com.ng/index.php/lead-stories/51066-why-we-introduced-chinese-language-in-lagos-schools-fashola-marks-2000-days-in-office at least ajami is an indegenous language to the hausa people who have historically rejected imperial/colonial destruction of their traditions. hausas are ok with not having skyscrapers or mr.biggs. they are traditional and shy away from western (and now chinese) influence. the reason the hausas are "illiterate' today is because they still see english as imperialistic. they are all fully literate in their own language (speaking and writing). I'm sure when Chinese replaces English as our official language 200 yrs from now, ajami will still be on our currency and we will be having the same debate. the joke is on you!! instead of us to embrace our native languages as the hausas embrace theirs. we are here arguing that they shouldn't have a right to their tongue because we have lost ours. so to answer your question: China should remind us of Britain. anybody with a brain can see that. |
Negro_Ntns: it has a lot to do with it. do not dismiss the banner. contemplate issue and you will see the connection. the ajami on the naira is a political message and has nothing to do with who in hausaland can or cannot read english. the message is not for hausa.....its for the rest of the country.I see no connection whatsoever!! ![]() even if it's a political message or whatever conspiracy you have, it's clearly affecting your ego. You see hausas as distant foreigners and the presence of arabic on the currency reminds you of their existence as a part of the country. Any nigerian who is well traveled and not a bigot will not see the issue in this. Hausas are NIGERIANS just as much as you or I. the comparison with Chinese is absolutely baseless!!! |
babyosisi: It was being refuted by a man who should knowbring out his statistics not his opinions. who cares if he is igbo or not. he's from port harcourt. but why should that have any bearing? the guy has been discredited by several sources for being a corrupt swindler. He is eradicating poverty of his own pocket. I wonder how much bribe he collected from anambra. http://www.nigeriannewsservice.com/nns-news-archive/headlines/magnus-kpakol-and-the-keke-napep-scam http://www.vanguardngr.com/2012/02/reps-threaten-to-order-arrest-of-kpakol-over-n20bn-napep-fund/ |
babyosisi: Now that all the various statistics have poured indid you see the "OPINION" written in bold across the top of your so called "statistics" article? http://allafrica.com/stories/201206180515.html?page=3 ![]() you should be quoting the facts and statistics. not the opinion articles, dear ![]() and why did you leave out the article author's name and date of publication.
