amor4ce: Can bashr8 do without uttering exaggerated boasts for 24 hours?don't mind him. he has no idea what his talking about and all his knowledge seem to come from MASSOB area boy meetings. at least his posts are something to laugh at for entertainment. too bad I have more serious business to attend to now. aurevoir Donlittle: i think you should take a nap and rest your brain. you re making no sense now. pardon me for my wordsI agree. he seems to be acting like a screaming banshee in his latest posts. guess he's getting frustrated. |
bashr8: biafra or no biafra we still win , infact biafra is for your own good since you we dont want wanty anything to do with you and you dont want anything to do with us.as long as nigeria remains you will keep running away cus you cant stand the heat but you want it to remain smh.biafra is a blessing and a curse for nigeria because on the one hand, we are happy to wave goodbye to you. bye bye on the other hand, Nigeria really won't be Nigeria without all the ethnic groups that compose it, including igbos. Not that you are special or anything. but that's just fact. besides, in this global political-economic system, the bigger the country, the better. when small countries in Europe are forming Unions to boost their size and power, why should african countries be fragmenting into further smaller pieces. way to put yourself at a disadvantage unless ur planning to isolate yourself from the whole capitalist setting we have in the world now. and that's impossible. China is a main global economy for a reason. and Nigeria is the giant of Africa also for a reason. we got to keep Nigeria and if not for our problems, we should even consider bringing Benin in alongside parts of cameroon to make ourselves bigger not trying to be imperialistic or anything ![]() |
amor4ce: Haaaaaaaaa!!!!!!! Since when did Nigeria have that many soldiers? Haba bashr8?lol. are you even surprised? Makes u question what they're teaching to students in Onitsha primary schools. ![]() biafra war is the core of their identity I tell you. They have a plethora of mythologies surrounding it that you could make a 20 volume encyclopedia from. you know how many cultures have creation myths, I won't be surprised if their own creation myth is based on the civil war. If there is ever peace between tribes in Nigeria, igbos won't exist because the mere mention of "igbo" suggests an ethnic group deriving its oxygen off of conflict. and it is in their best interest to ensure that there is always conflict. |
bashr8: defeat by who? we where never defeated , we never surrendered our weapons or our currency , in as much as the british finally got what it fought for which is oil from the niger delta(at least we igbos own all the oil wells in igboland) ,nigeria lost over 400hundred thousand soldiers to bisfra that never had upto 50 thousand soldiers.lol @ "we igbos own all the oil wells in igboland" duh. Isn't that why Ojukwu was trying hard to claim naija delta as part of biafra? oil is a curse just in case u forgot. even the US that is resting on more oil than Iraq and nigerian combined have chosen not to touch it. if you think biafra will make you roll in oil money, think again. everyone knows most igbos can only die for one thing: money. (with exception of this poor boy that is the subject of this topic). In their minds, biafra will make each of them a millionaire. rotfl |
bashr8: how ironic your the only grou known to worship people mybe it comes from years of domination by hausa fulanis . we dont worship ojukwu but what he saw yesterday and tried to prevent is happening today and guess who is crying more about nigeria? well we know you could not stay thats why you ran away to go and do boy boy in another mans country.you guy worship Ojukwu like no man's business and I will not make any further comment on that because it's very self evident ![]() In fact, the whole modern igbo identity is based on Ojukwu and biafra war. I'm not even sure if a igbo identity existed prior to that. it certainly didn't exist before the british arrived. |
awolowo is just a politician like obasanjo or tinubu or fashola or shonekan is/was. who cares. you guys seem obsessed with him for some reason I can never understand. lol @ google it. ![]() is that a sign of defeat? |
bashr8: we rather have great and truthful men like ojukwu as a leader than awolowo who later commited suicide at the mere threat of a young soldier as a leader.yorubas don't worship awolowo like you guys do. infact, you igbos mention awolowo on threads way more than yoruba people do. you exaggerate his position in yoruba psyche.which baffles me. again, we don't have a worship-hero-leader-figure and don't need one. |
we don't have, and don't need a fake leader-figure. we are already united with an identity as is. unlike igbos who always feel the need to bring up Ojukwu or biafra in order for them to feel a sense of identity. goes back to the fact that you guys were never a nation in the first place. just a bunch of sub-tribes lumped together and now struggling for a sense of identity that is based on hate and antagonism toward other tribes. |
bashr8: you forgot his partner tahiri aliyu a yorubaman as for ajayi crowder he is from sierra leone , when igbos where adminstering yorubaland your fathers where still climbing trees, ask who the first vice chancllors of your schools are, lawyers, educated soldiers, civil servants before you knew what those where, we can dig up video of where akintola was complaining of igbo domination in the civil service.he is a yoruba man born and raised in Abeokuta who was sent abroad and then sent back to Africa. many sierra leoneans are of yoruba origin as "returned slaves" I for the life of me do not know why you guys keep bringing up yoruba people that have very little relevance to our community. akintola ko, awolowo ni. I don't give 2 shitz about those people that you igbos like to bring up so frequently in conversations. we don't have, and don't need a fake leader-figure. ![]() |
bashr8: yoruba means slave in case you dont know , its no secret that hausa fulanis enslaved yorubas and where selling you to portugeuse traders before the brithis came, also edos owned most part of your land then. ike i said thank the british for saving you, igbos evolved from kingdoms to democratic society soemthing even at this 21st century nigeria cannot get right.yoruba doesn't mean slave. We have reclaimed the word. our hausa brothers in the north know better than that. to hell with colonialism. it's the igbos who love to lick oyinbo as.s. ![]() |
bashr8: and who will stop yorubas from killing your mothers in this 21st centuryclifford orji is a igbo name as far as i'm concerned. we yorubas have always been enlightened. have you ever heard of Samuel Ajayi Crowther. He is a yoruba man who helped you translate igbo into a written language and produced the first written igbo book and bible. ![]() thank the yorubas whenever you type in igbo. |
we were independent of hausa/fulani before the british came and our kingdom was restored. unlike you who still lived primiitively in sub-tribal settings. there's no secret in the fact that there was never such thing as "igbo people" until the british came and bunched all of you together. |
bashr8: kidnapping started in yorubaland for rituals , moved to south south for politics and ransome and then to south east for ransome , maybe we should find out why yorubas kidnap and kill people for rituals to the extent of killing your mothers and junior brothers all because of money rituals that is not even real , search within.oh puhleeze. ![]() remember mary slessor is famous for saving you guys from sacrificing your children to animals in the forests. |
^hmm that's an interesting analysis igbo people are always proud to claim that most African Americans are igbo descendants and alwys point to physical features as proof of that relation. so that means they sold more of their people for money. |
bashr8: are igbos the reason yorubas are notorious for using their kidnapped victims for rituals?at least we yorubas own up on juju and rituals. that's something we definitely need to work on. but we are more likely to use animals not humans. and that is more based on ignorance of some people thinking blood sacrifice is somehow going to help their lives. but come on, igbo ppl kidnapping people as a money business is a damn shame. why not just tap your family or friends resources if you are that broke. I guess that's where the individualism of igbo ppl work against them. |
bashr8: do you have statistics to prove that? so far the only stereotypes nigerians are known for are scammers and terrorist and tribal wars in northern part, yorubas are the reasns we are called scammers.and yorubas are also the reason you are notorious for kidnapping. take responsibility for ur actions bro ![]() |
amor4ce: I didn't assert that Yoruba don't commit crimes but pointed out that your people export crimes much more than others, way much more.agreed. With most southern/ eastern African folks I meet, I always have to tell them that "I'm Nigerian but not Igbo" when they tell me they were conned by some Nigerian trader or something like that. I explain to them that most of the so called businessmen and traders are igbo. usually we can clarify this when they mention names like Emeka or something beginning with Chukwu. Clearly igbo names. Same with westerners 'cause they have a mindset that Nigerians are scammers and I feel the need to clarify things for them. not to say non-igbo criminals don't exist, but they exist in far less quantity than the igbo ones which makes a huge impact in the nigerian image abroad. maybe if the igbos do succeed in getting Biafra, Nigeria's image can be restored. hahahah |
bashr8: onithsa distributes to all the states in nigeria including south west states with ijebus making up bulk south west customers. as for your igbo friends they are not doing anybody a favour by coming back, they can abandon their families who cares. it wont reduce the population of onithsa residents and visitors daily. They are not my personal friends. They are neighbors. Besides, isn't it in the igbo spirit to abandon your family and move to wherever the money is (illegal or otherwise)? Which is why I'm touched by this topic of an igbo boy sacrificing his life for his father. I have never met a non-igbo who decides to travel to onitsha to visit so what kind of visitors r u talking about? Cameroonians? |
^ Good for you. I'm yoruba so my knowledge of Onitsha is limited to igbo neighbors dreading to go back during christmas ![]() don't know a single person who goes to onitsha to buy goods though. , most people I know go to porto-novo (capital of Benin is almost like a yoruba city!) for things like car parts and local goods not found in the SW region. This has more to do with geography than anything. I will assume that the foreigners in Onitsha are cameroonians or niger deltans. aka people closer to your area. |
That's good news! cheddarking: Rumour has it that this railway might cause a jump in the price of.... SlyIg: For d very first time in d history of Nairaland. Thats a welcoming development... This is a great news for garri lovers on Nairaland. Cant wait for d rumours to be confirmed. ![]() |
bashr8: how is that so? only a foreigner or an ignorant person like you dont know that anambra is the most populated state during christmas season, lagos, abuja and portharcourt are deserted during that period and of course we know yoruba people dont even dare venture into their villages during xmas and normal period thats why they all live in lagos while their towns and cities rotFor yoruba people, christmas is a christian holiday for us and most villages are pagan or have a bit of paganism going on. So it makes no sense to celebrate christmas in the village. In fact, sometimes, people in the village come to Lagos or ibadan, Abeokuta or other cities to spend christmas with their family in the city. Unlike igbo people, we visit our villages several times throughout the year. just to visit in-laws and especially for celebrations (bdays, weddings, funerals etc). so we are not limited to going home during christmas only. We have a very very social culture.and this goes for yoruba people whether they live in lagos, ibadan, abeokuta ile-ife or other major cities where their elder family members are not present. Most yoruba muslims with families in other states travel to their family homes during eid-al-fitr (end of ramadan) though. I've never stepped a foot in igboland and I don't see any reason for doing so in my lifetime. lol what is there besides kidnappers? Sometimes I question you guys motive for wanting to seceded because I really don't see the benefit for igbos in doing so. I think it's just a hype and when push comes to shove, you will most likely not follow though. case in point: most igbos clamoring for secession don't even live in igboland and have no plans of ever relocating there. lol |
Ninapha: u are being economical wit the truth. There are no higher criminals in any region. We know Nigeria and pple in it. Like someone said, igbos maybe into kidnappn which was introduced by our politicains in abuja. Now hv u visisted the statistics of political assasinations in nigeria.even you know that you are always afraid to go back to onitsha during christmas lol |
these ppl make me forget the original intent of my post sef. RIP to the poor boy. Not many people can sacrifice their life for their parents like that. |
Truth is bitter but if you mention anything, they are quick to play the tribe card (aka accuse u of tribalism). But the same people are quick to disparage other ethnic groups without ever looking inward at their own rampant problems. In fact, I bet they can find a way to connect kidnapping and crime in the SE to Awolowo and Ojukwu's enemies. wake up and take responsibility for yourself! stop playing the victim card 'cause it's becoming stale. |
Honestly its time u ibos look inwards and stop all dis barbaric acts ur brodas are committing all ova d SE, instead of tagging anyone who comment on it as an ethnic bigot.I agree. There is nothing new in the fact that most ilicit crime in naija are of Igbo origin. Even in lagos, if armed robbers's ethnicities were recorded and put in the open, the truth will be glaring. Thanks to the poster with the statistics on drug crime abroad. Lets just hope the kidnapping doesn't spread to the SW. because these things work like a virus sometimes. when they stop making enough money in the east, they spread their eerie business to other parts of the country. Some ppl are just cursed with greed sha. |
chipmunkey: How would you compare someone you don`t even know to Charley boy. Even if i`m crazy, i`ve never portrayed myslelf as the type that would pick up fights and hawl insults.you sure are very argumentative. abeg in fact, I will love to see u stick your body out of a moving car going 120mph. better still jump off a bridge. commot for here |
