I think he grew up with his father beating up his mom every night. I can't think of any other way to explain someone gloating over such disgusting videos. all I see in him are symptoms of abusive past (and present) especially violence toward women.

you need to have a serious conversation with your husband and get to the bottom of the WHO?WHAT?WHEN?WHERE? AND HOW? of the affair.
the WHY? is especially important because it seems like you are blaming yourself for the whole situation. He should be able to give you a full explanation for why he cheated and also WHY the affair ended. something must have happened (threat of blackmail maybe?) and you both can use the information to help prevent this from happening again.

well, I'm talking about Nigerians born and raised in America (Nigerian Americans) who go through American k-12 public school system. The poster of this topic falls into that category. if you raise ur kids in US, watch out esp. for the boys. in my opinion, they are more vulnerable than girls.

if your story is true then just realize that your life has changed forever (for good or for bad) Only advice I can give you is to change your ways. Drop ALL your old friends and start your life over. About who makes more front page depends on what kind of front page you read. High status magazine like Vogue or NYmag rarely feature the likes of Kim K. She has never featured on a a real Vogue cover but Michelle Obama has. Elle Magazine and Vogue's Anna Wintour refused to feature Kim K because such magazines cater to elites and higher class audiences and they don't want to cheapen their brand.
yes, let's agree that Obama is a first lady. but same will apply to a woman like Liya Kedebe or Carla Bruni or even Anna Wintour or Kate Middleton. These women are in a different class entirely from the likes of Kim K, Jlo, Amber Rose, Paris Hilton or other prole celebrities out there that are staples of People Magazine or other low class gossip site and stations like TMZ, BET or E!.

Because our parents did it does not make it right. My Grandfather probably had many wifes, probably just crossed his leg and dished out orders in the household That doesnt make it right. My parents flogged us as kids I wont go and use that as a justification to flog children

I can keep my temper with a boss or policeman because there is a great distance between us. If I get too close to my boss, obviously my fear and respect for him will reduce to a point where I might feel comfortable enough to yell at him. That's why it's advisable for bosses not to have personal relationship with their workers. Then they are too close for comfort. comfort being the key word and the opposite of fear.
ex. I can yell at my parents and siblings without fear that they will disown me. and if I feel comfortable enough with a best friend, same thing.
Keep in mind, I rarely yell at people. but humans are humans and we get on each others' nerves sometimes. and there are some people (ex family) that you can't just ignore or keep ur emotions to yourself because if you do that long enough, you will just explode.
with a friend or boyfriend, you can break up or call off ur relationship if they piss u off enough. but with your family or husband, you have to argue it out.

I would feel terribly sorry for a spouse who sees her husband as a boss or client. that makes for a very messed up relationship.

My mother has shouted at my dad many times and my dad has shouted at her many times. They shout at each other, laugh at each other, gossip with each other, eat together, pray together and have been married for decades. no biggie. as long as it doesn't affect their relationship negatively. It's ok for spouses to raise their voices at some point. In fact, it is almost impossible for it not to happen. but of course, if all you do is shout at each other, then clearly, there is a problem.

but comparing husband and wife relationship to boss and subordinate relationship is very crazy.
