^ she's shapely though. she's not flabby fat but when she starts having kids, it will not bode well for her body. |
She is still so gorgeous. Any one seen Full Moon? That's my fav movie of her. so 90s ![]() |
she's fat. Her thighs look bigger than a maalu. at least they should have used a bigger guy who's her match. Ay looks like a 12yr old next to her. white looks good on her complexion sha. wish there were more close ups of her face. |
OMG I saw something similar happen a few months ago. It was an immigrant African guy from God knows where. I think he was from Congo or something 'cause he was really dark. But he was screaming and yelling at the two white guys standing in a corner at the park calling them "white devil" blah blah and ranting about how white people are evil and are the source of all the problems in the world. The two men just stood quietly and didn't even flinch. I'm African and even I felt scared that he might pull out a gun or something. This guy was in RAGE. scary. |
4. You dont attract girls and even if you do, its girls way past their prime or local 'plain janes' that will be attracted to you!(if you doubt ask yourself, have you ever seen a truck pusher or labourer having a genevieve look-alike or omotola lookalike as girlfriend or wife? Girls like that always go for the rich businessmen! .....#fact)Seriously? You're single and BROKE!!! you should even be happy that a low maintenance 'plain jane' is interested in you. Genevieve and Omotola look alike ko.. shior. common sense is not common to everybody. maybe that's why you're broke. pele |
ROFLMAO. I knew this thread would disintegrate into an argument with South South folks not wanting to be part of Biafra and Igbos trying to prove that they belong in Biafra. Remove Cross-Rivers and Akwa-Ibom from Biafra and what do you have left? hahahahaha Igbos they get mouth... always trying to point to Nigeria as the problem but their own internal problems are the worst. In fact, Nigeria (or their hatred for Nigeria) is what's keeping them superficially united. they refuse to appreciate that fact. |
You were too desperate to get married you didn't think about the fact that you need to be compatible in terms of beliefs and values. Both of you are at fault. Marriage without compatibility is a time bomb waiting to happen. If she's 36 then I imagine that you are at least 40 or almost 40yrsof age. |
we can prevent this from happening. www.nairaland.com/attachments/792196_789851_NIGERIAN_which_way_jpg66a678312e28018d188a2a1d69b3afd5_jpg9c85dc6ecba70c20eb3f9fe9ff8fb726 |
Most children go with their MOTHER's culture because they are primarily raised by their MOTHERS. the ones that get confused and have issues are the ones that try to go with both cultures. |
The First Three Pictures in Original Post Are The Only Authentic Pictures of Genny's daughter....... |
Mrs.Chima:cultural exchange my azz. no this thread will not reduce racism or tribalism. especially since you just exposed one of your own prejudices about africans. rubbish thread. I personally do not hang out or relate with African Americans so I have no reason to participate in "cultural exchange' with them. you on the other hand, are desperate about being accepted by Africans then you need to rethink your ideas and learn to adapt. simple and short. |
van bonattel: Daft comparison, should the husband pay wages to their wife for fetching firewood and water? Who then pays the husband?I'm talking about employers paying wages. The same person that is paying the husband should be capable of hiring a wife that's up to the task. Most of those women are self employed or working for free for their families. A woman who sits at home must be lucky to have a financially well off husband. I personally would not mind marrying a rich husband that will enable me to "sit at home" again many people posting on this thread are middle class or higher. This thread is stupid and senseless to a person who probably grew up poor because such a person will be surrounded be working women who do hard work all the time. |
afam4eva: Most women don't have the mental and physical capacity to do the work that men(not all men) do. Forget all this talk of "what a man a woman can do better" or the usual gender equality crap. Human beings are created differently and everyone has a purpose in life. It's unfortunate that some men that it's their duty to fend for their family are falling short of their responsibility, so the women have to do to take care of her family. As the picture suggest, there are many women who have that physical capacity. So why are you against them doing it? basically your post is saying that it is not women's responsibility to fend for her family when in most cases, women already shoulder most of that responsibility. I'm not talking about middle class people that populate this website. but go to the poorer places that constitute over 50% of the country, women are head of households. they perform back breaking work to take care of themselves and children. To me, maybe most of you here are just sheltered and never seen a woman performing hard work in your life. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0tThFKU4RtU |
Mrs.Chima:The expectation is that the immigrants' children will adapt to American way of life. one way of inculcation is through schools. Even going through citizenship exams you are told that you are now an American. You need to learn and be able to speak English to pass etc Older adults/first generation immigrants are resistant to this and that's why you have things like Chinatown, little Italy etc. but the children learn and adapt fast. That's the expectation. Nothing wrong with that. Why do you think Americans are so intolerant towards Mexican immigrants right now and passing laws left and right to disenfranchise them? THey did the same to Chinese when they first came in 1800s. Same to Irish immigrants or italian immigrants or Jews or German immigrants. Intolerance is always there. It only reduces when the groups have adapted enough. |
Good thing about America...people can be themselves, study whatever religion they want, open any bars they want, speak almost anything they want, and practice whatever culture they want without being persecuted figuratively speaking. This is not true and you know it. America feels like that thanks to segregation. Imagine if everyone really has to live together. then we will all be forced to adapt because life will be a living hell otherwise. Imagine if you had to share a room with a vegan or a mormon etc. that's just an example. I think tolerance is a good thing. but it has its limits. Whoever has the most power usually wins in most circumstances. |
I still don't understand what you are getting at. Who do you want to exchange cultures with? What exactly do you mean by "cultural exchange"? If you are LIVING among people of a different culture, there is NO WAY you can maintain your culture 100% and live amicably with them unless you segregate yourself. the minority living in that society will have to adopt or adapt the majority's way of life. otherwise, the majority will turn against them for coming in and trying to upset the balance. this is natural. but if you are living 3000 miles away and doing pen-pal sort of "cultural exchange" that doesn't affect your daily existence, then I can see your point. |
I am by no means telling you to ADOPT NOR ADAPT to other cultures but to engage in cultural exchanges or tolerance so you can be able to live with individuals that are DIFFERENT from youIn order to LIVE with individuals that are DIFFERENT from you, you (or they) need to adopt or adapt culturally. The result of not adopting or adapting is SEGREGATION. and this then exacerbates all those ugly things you mentioned. besides, there will always be racism, tribalism, prejudice, sexism so long as there is difference. Just embrace your difference but learn to adopt or adapt when difference puts you at a disadvantage. When in Rome, do as the Romans do. shikena. |
Here are pics from a family get together for Genevieve's Mother, Benedatte Nnnaji, on her 60th birthday. The family members are donning peacock blue cloth. The mother is wearing brown in the third pic, I'm assuming. Can you locate the daughter? ![]() Her name is Chimebuka, by the way. Her mother, Genevieve, turned 33 earlier this year. These Pics above are the only known pics of Genny's daughter. Others are just look-alikes... like the one below. |
Should women do hard work? FOOLISH QUESTION.THEY'VE BEEN DOING UNPAID HARD WORK FOR CENTURIES Should women get PAID for their hard work? YES. https://farm2.static.flickr.com/1009/1223120968_690a76404a.jpg https://www.photostaud.com/img/fotogalerie/kikuyu-people-destination/kenya-kikuyu-029.3.jpg https://www.cherieblair.org/women/African%20Woman%20Trader.jpg |
a woman is finally getting paid to carry load on her head and all of a sudden it's considered "hard work". what was it before when she was doing it for free? slave work? women have always worked harder than men. that's a fact. I think this OP is just asking if women should be paid to do hard work as a profession. |
absurdity at its height. when not up to 1% of the igbo population has ever heard of WIC, they claim to represent the entire igbo population. igbos just love to be herded like cows. Anything to convince themselves that they are united. lol an organization run by a group of unknown men in the USA (some who have not been to naija in over 20 yrs) and all you are singing praises. You seem not to have learned your lesson from ojukwu. d admission of world igbo congress into unecosoc is indeed a welcome development. It clearly shows d supremacy of the ndigbo intelligensia over other tribes in nigeria and it is a sign of great and mighty things to come. It also affirm and confirm the greatness of the ndigbo pple in african as a whole and the world at large. d ndigbo is repeating and multiplying d monumental and remarkable feat that dey did in the first republic. I see no reasons why d ndigbo will not lead the world in commerce, industrialisation, intellectual framework and purposeful leadership. We have the drive, determination and intellect to have a robust intellectual engagement wit the world at large. We give acephalos democracy to the world and create d first non tribal political party(ncnc) of which chief purpose is for the unity of nigeria and produce the first senate president in nigeria.. Let us keep d frontier of commerce, sound intellectual frameworkor qualitative education and purposeful leadership potential going anywhere we found ourselves in and demand for fair representation in governnace in any state where the ndigbo have a numeric strength to champion d common interest of the ndigbo pple. Our best of day is certainly ahead of us and we will continue to play d politics of development not politics of ethnicity as practised by d yoruba.we are blessed race.If igbo insecurity and low self esteem is not written all over this post, then I don't know what is. |
Because they don't have money to pay back. Especially if they borrowed the money for an emergency ex. hospital bill, school fees, rent etc It will be nice if you can arrange payment plans with the person and talk about paying little at a time. The sum might be too big and daunting for the person to pay back all at once. Next time, don't loan someone money if you are not sure they make enough money to be able to pay it back. I wouldn't loan money to someone if the amount is more than the person's monthly salary, for example. something to keep in mind in all of this is that one good turn deserves another. You never know if you will find yourself as a borrower tomorrow so do not be too shrewd. Just learn from your mistake and next time, don't loan to someone who can't afford to pay back. in that case, it will be better to give than to loan. |
c.fours: I am laughing as I post because all my own yoruba male friends who are financially well off are very cosmopolitan and open minded to the extent that at least half of them are dating akata or oyinbo. Majority of them could care less about yoruba movies or stock fish so you really need to learn to let go of the stock fish and efo riro, my dear. Learn some American recipes, make some American friends, and stop limiting yourself. But, if you're still hell bent on yoruba guys, and clearly the guys are not lining up at your door, my best advice to you is to make friends with their middle aged parents. If they get impressed with you enough, they will introduce you to their sons, nephews or friends. Most of them are trying all their best to convince their sons or relatives to marry nigerian anyway. some people advice you to go to rccg or naija church and parties. Well, most of the yoruba guys you will find at these naija parties or churches are FOB/ local types. Ones who just came to the US 4-5yrs ago and are still struggling to establish themselves financially. They may even be looking for a desperate nigerian girl to mooch off. even if they are settled financially, chances are that they are also settled in the spouse dept. THere are a ton of women like you hunting for the same few men FYI. At this point I will give credit to igbo women because they are the best at acculturating. I've met a good number of very successful oyibo/akata/non-nigerian men (college professor at an ivy league sch, lawyer, NGO executive etc) who upon meeting me have proudly told me that they have a nigerian wife. In 100% of these cases, the wife have always been igbo.( and no, it's not at all about beauty because i've met some of these women lol) It's also not rare obviously that you find some igbo women married to a Yoruba guy. These men will go on and on and seem to know all the igbo foods, igbo greetings etc under the sun. I guess it's really just an igbo trait to be sharp about matters like these. If you're finding your standards impossible to meet,as your topic title implies, why not lower it? you are almost 30 already. It's only going to get harder.... |
ibo people obsession with Awolowo is getting ridiculous. let the man rest in his grave jor |
All that's needed is a Buhari govt. No nonsense war against indiscipline. GEJ is nothing more than a wimp that likes to appease radicals with amnesty. Imagine what he did with MEND. in a more civilized country, all radical elements will be systematically removed. there was one stupid thread like that discussing a guy wearing boko haram 3D custom print shirt. Talk about a country that doesn't even know its priority. |
buzugee: not trying to be funny but if you look like a skeleton compared to that pic then you may need to see a doctor real fast. maybe you have gastrointestinal issues and your food is not getting absorbed well. that pic looks like a normal weight guy to me.of course that is normal for a nigerian male.disgusting. All these nigerian guys who like to complain about women being fat are no where near being trim themselves. pigs quit the macdonalds and get some veggies... ok? manboobs and potbelly ain't normal. https://image1.masterfile.com/em_w/00/89/74/700-00897421w.jpg |
Forbes magazine picks African countries at random for worst economy every year. who cares what their list is? Anybody who doesn't see the truth in Ayittey's statements is just deluding his or herself. The guy is 100% right. |
queensmith: is this what you tell yourself? that you are sexy and you know it? well the world disagrees with you. . . . .lmao.this is too funny ![]() |
I can already picture a plump balding figure snapping his fingers, waggling his butt and protuding belly alternatively while pouting his red lipstick painted lips as he mouths the word "faggot" ![]() he does this only in his closet. i mean room. while making posts on nairaland. safagmite the nairaland diva. |
cheddarking: LMAO.ROFTLMAO. this post truly made me feel sorry for safagmite. maybe we should leave him alone. He has enough problems to deal with already. short fat balding man deprived of parental love as a child, add closet gay on top of that. life must be frustrating ![]() |
