Nairaland GeneralNeed Some Explanations On Some NL Stuffs. by chakula(op): 3:31pm On Dec 06, 2012
Hello,

Kindly someone will help me and explain how should I apply the below listed items into my post whenever I desire to have them.

1. To make my post bold. (especially when I am quoting someone post and there is specific watchword or clause

that I want comment on it)

2. Strike trough. I have tried it severally but it won’t work.

3. Italic.

Thank you.

Maryam

Chapter 19- Verse 75,

{ قُلْ مَن كَانَ فِي ٱلضَّلَـٰلَةِ فَلْيَمْدُدْ لَهُ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ مَدّاً حَتَّىٰ إِذَا رَأَوْاْ مَا يُوعَدُونَ إِمَّا ٱلعَذَابَ وَإِمَّا ٱلسَّاعَةَ فَسَيَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ هُوَ شَرٌّ مَّكَاناً وَأَضْعَفُ جُنداً }

Say: ‘As for him who is in error (man kāna fī’l-dalālati, a conditional clause, the response to which is [fa’l-yamdud, ‘He shall prolong’ and what follows it]) the Compassionate One shall defer (fa’l-yamdud, functions in the sense of a predicate) him, from chastisement by [granting him] some respite, in this world, drawing him on [to his eventual chastisement] gradually, until, when they catch sight of that which they were promised, whether it be chastisement [in this world], by being killed or taken captive, or the Hour, the Resurrection that comprises Hell, they will enter it. Then they will surely know who is worse in [respect of] position and weaker in [respect of the number of] hosts’, in [respect of the number of] supporters, themselves or the believers? Their hosts will be the devils, while the hosts of the believers against them will be the angels.

bashy_demy: Chichi: Do you smoke?
Akpos: Yes
Chichi: How many packs a day?
Akpos: 3 packs
Chichi: How much per pack
Akpos: £10.00
Chichi: And how long have you been
smoking?
Akpos: 15 years
Chichi: So 1 pack cost £10.00 and you have 3
packs a day which puts your spending each
month at £900. In one year, it would be
£10,800 correct?
Akpos: Correct
Chichi: If in 1 year you spend £10,800 not
accounting for inflation, the past 15 years
puts your spending at £162,000 correct?
Akpos: Correct
Chichi: Do you know that if you hadn't
smoked, that money could have been put in
a step-up interest savings account and after
accounting for compound interest for the
past 15 years, you could have now bought a
Ferrari?
Akpos: Do you smoke?
Chichi: No
Akpos: Where's your Ferrari
thenhuh
A wise joke, then I trust my friend you can do more than this. Btw long time!

Christianity EtcRe: Jesus Was Never Married. Why Don't Christians Emulate That? by chakula(op): 12:10pm On Dec 05, 2012
seyibrown: It is not uncharacteristic of the Bible not to ascribe names. This scripture is not the only one where names are not given in the Bible. The Groom and Bride were not important in this account ... it was Christ's turning of the water into wine (his first public miracle) that was the main focus of this account.

[b]John 2:1-10 - King James Version (KJV)
1 And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of JESUS was there:
2 And both JESUS was called, and his disciples, to the marriage.
3 And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine.
4 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.
5 His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.
6 And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece.
7 JESUS saith unto THEM, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim.
8 And HE saith unto THEM, Draw out now, and bear unto THE GOVERNOR OF THE FEAST. And THEY bare it.
9 When THE RULER OF THE FEAST had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knewwink the governor of the feast called the BRIDEGROOM,
10 And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now. [/b]

Nothing in the scripture points to Jesus as the Bridegroom ....... only your 'suspicious' mind playing tricks on you cheesy cheesy
These varses are what for? confirming that he was never married or what!

Christianity EtcRe: Jesus Was Never Married. Why Don't Christians Emulate That? by chakula(op):
holyvirgin: kip laffing at yourself, the holyspirit has been freely given to sustain them throughout their ministry, just as christ who came in human form and was never married. Thank God priests decided to follow in christ footstep esp in our time where gay marriages, divorce, and greed are increasing in churches.
A sincere respond from a good Christian, it was only priests that agreed upon what Jesus teaching is all about, but others would likely not obedient to him for practicing what he has never practice in his life time.
Christianity EtcRe: Fellow Christians, your Opportunity To Stand Up To Maclatunji by chakula: 6:15pm On Dec 04, 2012
To fellis Tbaba and Other Muslims Kindly use this as advice; it will be very unwise to join issues with the people that you all know their stands. Assuming these people are willing to understand your massage or want to create harmony in Islam section I am sure they would have mutually fallow the right way and achieve their goals.

Take this as example few Muslims are very active in Christians section and I am sure they are not violence the way some of you are, and maturity discussion I believe all the time is putting in place argument is voided but the facts are also displaying.

However, Sweetnecta, vedaxcool, deols and tbaba these are few that I can mention with undisputed character and very active in the Christian section. I can end up my writing by advising my Muslims friend to invite anybody that has any problem with Mac to personally take it to the Islam section not here and which the problem will be solved.

Christianity EtcRe: THOSE THAT MIGHT MISSED THE RAPTURE by chakula: 11:54am On Dec 04, 2012
Saksreal: I was enjoying reading it until i reached the point "I JESUS, YOUR LORD". I fear those that believe Jesus is God may miss heaven as well.
Jesus is never and would never b GOD( the almighty), creator of the universe and Lord of mankind. Even in the book of Mathew when jesus was tempted by satan, Jesus himself said "YOU SHALL NOT WORSHIP ANYONE OTHER THAN GOD". Was he referring to himself?

Jesus, just like many others is a prophet(though born miraculously). And like he promised, he'll be back but this time, that you all made a mistake in worshipping him rather than the GOD who created us all( jesus inclusive).
Your NO6 is sounding well God bless YOU for the clarification, Jesus was never God and will never be. Simple.

Christianity EtcRe: Jesus Was Never Married. Why Don't Christians Emulate That? by chakula(op): 2:31pm On Nov 30, 2012
globexl: Curiously, the bible does not mention the names of the celebrants of the wedding. That is very uncharacteristic of the bible, wouldn't you say so? Also, why would the son of a lowly carpenter and is mother, along with his desciples, be invited to a society wedding as described in the bible? And also, being invitees, why would jesus's mother be very active in such a wedding, unless, she was just playing her natural role as the mother of the groom?
It wasn't in the bible and, the Op have just said it because there is no noticeable respond that can outfit the question. And those raised question design by globexl also needs to be answer as well. But would they come up with reasonable answers? That is what I doubt.

Mr. Literate I don't surprise how educated you are your above input has said it all (full with spelling error). I am grateful to discover dude of your kind on NL, although I spy through your profile and unfortunately you recently registered and your posts were based on bigotry and sentiments, what I want you understand is even your semi-god haven't won the battle initiated years back and die while on exile.

The Yoruba folks on the other hand, I don't know but what I have always used to read here is telling me your relationship with them is very slim and skinny when it comes to bashing a time I can't even pay attention on the posts because of the way you are treating each other.

Finally I will like to advise you stay away from this your habit and be a patriotic Nigerian that can help out to the solution where necessary rather igniting it.

IslamRe: First Gay Mosque To Open In Paris by chakula: 10:08am On Nov 29, 2012
TroGunn: For sure they won't kill the muslim preacher. They probably won't pay much attention to you though. In Muslim countries christians can't even preach freely- they might easily get killed over it. Even being in a christian church in the predominantly Muslim north is a sentence for possible violent death by bombing by Islamists.

Non-Muslim lands are the most tolerant places on earth.
And i can boldly say your statement is false, why I am a Northerner and I can inform you missionaries are very active in discharging their duties even today and now, they can preach, cure the illness as well as providing some of the daily needs to the people that accept their mission and yet they are free from being harm or any form of threat.

So I don't agree with you to conclude that on earth live is ok in the non-Muslim community.
