Love is a free gift of nature which everyone has in spite of one’s financial status. Love they say is harmless and blind but needs understanding, endurance, and patience to go with. Love conquers all. Love is like a house which when well-built becomes a home. And when maintain makes the home strong.

Real love in marriage is what makes home a home! Marriage is a legal relationship that brings together man and woman of different families.

Real love is easily killed by not understanding one’s self, not understanding each other, not knowing the meaning and purpose of what you are into , thus killing the marriage.

Trust gives rigidity to a home, trust is the root and foundation of every relationship. Trust your partner and believe in what he/she can do.

Advice as they say is good but giving ear to external advice with respect to your marriage is the beginning of failure of that marriage. People’s advice can equally kill the love at home. When you are advised on issue, look into it critically, sieve it as a man/woman, and then know the one to take.
Give no listening ear to gossip of any kind because it kills love even faster than AIDS.

Furthermore, as the scripture says “husband love thy wife and wife be submissive to your husband,” in other words wives and should respect their husbands and husbands should give their wives their rightful position. When one fails to do what is right in all aspects of life, the wrong will jeopardize the life.

Education › ASUU :SSS Are After Me For Declaring Support For Ongoing Strike – NANS President by chaloner(op): 9:58am On Aug 03, 2013
The President,National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, said men of the State Security Service (SSS) have been after him since he declared NANS support for the ongoing ASUU strike.
Comrade Prince Miaphen disclosed this on Friday, while addressing journalists in Jos.

According to him, “I will like the entire Nigerian Students, who bestowed on me the mandate of leading them, which I have never betrayed or derailed in this struggle, that my life is under threat by the men of the State Security Service (SSS) and if anything happens to me, the SSS should be held responsible.

He said, “With today’s event, it is obvious that men of the State Security Service (SSS) are after my life. It further confirms that the last attack on my resident was done by the SSS.

Adding that, “Today I saw them with my naked eyes, I identified two, among them out of the ten of them that came and they were well armed. I think it was only those two that know me and was lucky they didn’t see me, as I managed to escape, so that I can address the press in case anything happens to me.

Dailypost gathered that they came to the occasion venue organized by the National Association of Plateau Students, which was about to commence at the Plateau State Polytechni,c Jos, and were asking after the NANS president.

Miaphen further stated that, “I want to advise the SSS to leave Nigerian Students alone and channel their energy towards solving the numerous security issues affecting the Nigerian nation, other than interfering in students activities.

“I wish to categorically state that no amount of intimidation, harassment or blackmail can stop us from speaking against bad policies of government at all levels, especially at the educational level”.

It would be recalled that, on the 20th, July, 2013, Dailypost reported that, the NANS President in a statement said, “Yesterday, the 19th of July 2013 at about 1pm to 2pm, a white Jeep entered my house at Wamba Road GRA in Jos, with armed men and carted away almost all my property worth hundreds of thousands, after searching for me tirelessly to no avail. Fortunately for me, I had travelled to Ekiti State where I’m Schooling.

Lamenting further that, “Most surprising is that why would the attack on my person come just two days after I issued a press statement declaring support for ASUU’s national leadership for embarking on a legitimate strike to better the educational sector in Nigeria?

The statement further said his brother had reported the matter to the Police station in Tudun wada, Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.

He listed the items missing to include, “A 36 inch flat screen television set, one 16 inch television set, a complete set of
home-theater, one 56 inch refrigerator, micro-wave, gas cooker and other valuables with an undisclosed sum of money”

Celebrities › Popular Ghanaian Actress Denies Stealing In London by chaloner(op): 9:44am On Aug 03, 2013
Ghanaian actress, Emelia Brobbey, who was recently arrested in the UK for allegedly shoplifting a bracelet at Pearsons Departmental Store in Enfield while on vacation in London has denied stealing.

According to Ghanamma.com, multiple reports claim the actress, who was unaware of security camera at a London store, allegedly picked a bracelet worth £10, without paying for it and as she was exiting the store, an alarm beeped, alerting the storekeepers of the theft. Emelia was held down for questioning until the officers from the Enfield Police Department arrived to make the arrest.

Emelia had been in the UK for months on holiday and to deliver her new baby boy, which she did on June 13, 2013. What the new mother did not bargain for was getting involved in a pilfering scandal.

But on her return to Ghana on July 25, Emelia told reporters and her colleagues who were at the airport to welcome her that she was wrongfully accused and that she did not steal.

She said, “A bracelet accidentally fell into my baby carriage without my knowing it until the alarm beeped when I was about leaving the shop. I explained to the security and even paid for it when the shop attendant asked if I wanted to keep the bracelet, only to be pursued later by the police.”

Following the shoplifting incident, the residence of her host, Gloria Agyeman, who is also an actress, was later raided by the police. This has led to sniffing into Gloria’s immigration status by the police as they asked her to keep reporting to the station every week until a clear picture of her immigration status is ascertained.

The scandal deepens as another resident actress, Eunice Akua Adjeiwaa, who had overstayed in the UK wasn’t that lucky. She was arrested at Gloria’s residence by the police and she is currently being investigated by the UK Border Agency and may be deported to Ghana.

If caught for shoplifting for a small amount in the UK, shops in the neighbourhood could take your details and give you a banning order but if the police are called, and it’s your first time, you may be given a fixed penalty notice as long as the amount of good stolen is not over £100. If you have already had a caution for a theft offence, you will have to be charged and face court, where you can get a possible fine or community service if found guilty.

Prior to this scandal, Emelia was last year enmeshed in a pregnancy mess after she was accused of being involved with a married man. She reportedly claimed the man was responsible for her pregnancy – not her ex-husband whom she divorced months into the pregnancy.

Emelia, a teacher-turned-actress landed her first movie role in 2002 in ‘Tribal War’. She has since featured in over 30 movies earning numerous awards. On October 15, 2012, Emelia unveiled her own production house called Endtime Films. She also runs a foundation registered as ‘Emelia Brobbey Charity Organisation’ to help the less privileged.

Politics › Shekau Shot, Deposed – Boko Haram Spiritual Leader by chaloner(op): 2:28am On Aug 02, 2013
By Uduma Kalu with agency reports
BORNO—Sheikh Abubakar Shekau, leader of the violent Islamic sect, Boko Haram, has reportedly been shot and deposed by members of his own sect, Boko Haram.

A new leader, Abu Zamira Mohammed, who is the sect’s leader negotiating with the federal government has been appointed new leader by the group’s Shura Council.

The group also said that its ceasefire declaration is working, pointing out that there has not been any suicide bombing since the declaration. It noted its condemnation of the Yobe massacre where 40 students were killed, adding that some politicians now commit murder and ascribe it to Boko Haram
Shekau

Shekau: AFP

On the Kano blasts last Monday, which led to the death of about 45 people, the group blamed it on federal government’s tardiness in responding to the ceasefire agreement.

A joint report published yesterday, by Dr. Stephen Davis, a conflict resolution expert and an adviser to the last three Nigerian Presidents and Phillip van Niekerk, President of Calabar Africa, a strategic advisory company focusing on Africa, and former Editor of South Africa’s Mail & Guardian newspaper, in the US based online newspaper, huffingtonpost.com, quoted one Imam Liman Ibrahim, spiritual leader of Boko Haram, as saying that the change in leadership was prelude to peace negotiations with the federal government.

A faction of Boko Haram has entered into a back-channel dialogue with the government in the search for an elusive peace to a conflict that has seen multiple suicide bombings, attacks on government buildings and churches, and has claimed thousands of lives since 2011.

The Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Dialogue and Restoration of Peace in the North-East, Tanimu Turaki, last month announced that his committee had reached an “understanding for ceasefire” with members of the Jama’atu Ahlul Sunnah Lih Da’awa Wal Jihad, JAS, more commonly known as Boko Haram. JAS leadership also nominated five people to enter peace discussions with the Federal Government: Abu Liman Ibrahim, Abu Zamira Mohammed, Abu Adam Maisandari, Kassim Imam Biu and Mallam Modu Damaturu. In its press statement, JAS said the ceasefire would be in effect for 60 days, and that during the period, any attacks in its name or in the name of its leader, Imam Shekau, would be bogus attacks.

Boko Haram has been in preliminary discussions with government emissaries since the organisation declared a ceasefire on June 26. Abu Zamira Mohammed told the paper that his group was still waiting for the Federal Government’s response to the ceasefire declaration. The contacts are still at an early, fragile stage, and there is no guarantee that the talks will achieve a breakthrough.

The writers said: “It has now come to light that Boko Haram’s leadership sent representatives to the capital Abuja on June 25, 2013 where they revealed to the government that Shekau was no longer their leader.”

Imam Liman Ibrahim, the spiritual leader of Boko Haram, explained that the teaching of Shekau was becoming increasingly harsh and began to depart from the Holy Qu’ran.

“It was harsh, harsh, harsh,” Imam Liman said when explaining the reasons for the change of leadership.

“The beheadings, the killings, the recent death of students … this is not the way of the Holy Qu’ran. We could tolerate it no longer.

“Imam Liman explained that Shekau was given a choice of joining the peace dialogue with the Nigerian government, forming his own sect or being killed. Several senior Boko Haram commanders including Shekau’s Chief of Security and personal bodyguard, Abdullahi Hassan, have claimed that Shekau has since been shot in the lower leg, thigh and shoulder,” the paper went on.

The report said,” Shekau’s exact fate is not known. A video clip recovered from a Boko Haram camp in the Sambisa Forest Reserve in the northeast Nigeria, raided by the military on May 16, shows Shekau limping, providing confirmation of reports he had been shot.

“However, Shekau has been noticeably absent from recent public statements and is not one of the leaders who have engaged with government emissaries. It had been presumed that Shekau chose to voluntarily leave peace discussions in the hands of Boko Haram’s leadership group,” the duo wrote.

The JAS leadership were quoted as citing the Qu’ran as their inspiration for seeking peace. “In the Holy Qu’ran, Sura At Tauba: Wa-injanahuu-Lisalmi Faji Nahlahaa, we are encouraged to seek peace. The Holy Qu’ran also tells us it is good to negotiate. Sura At Nisa Ayih: Wa-sulhu Haira.”

In June, the Boko Haram leadership demanded that women held by the military under the state of the emergency in the north be released. President Jonathan authorised the release, which opened the door to the ceasefire and the peace dialogue.

The report also said “the Boko Haram leadership has appointed Abubakar Babasani Ibn Yusuf as spokesman to replace Zamirah. Babasani says the leadership has been consulting all senior commanders to assure compliance with the ceasefire. He said commanders as far afield as Niger, Chad, Sudan and Cameroon have agreed to the ceasefire and discussions with the Nigerian government on the subject of a peace deal.”

The June 26 ceasefire announcement has been accompanied by an absence of suicide bombings, giving credibility to the new leadership and their intention of signing a peace accord. However, the administration’s tardiness in responding to the group’s ceasefire announcement is believed to have precipitated three car bomb attacks in the northern city of Kano this week that left at least 15 people dead.

Other attacks have persisted including the recent horrific killings of students in Yobe where about 40 students were incinerated in their school building. The latest Boko Haram statement is highly critical of the Yobe deaths and denies responsibility for the attacks.

The leadership blames such atrocities on politicians in the northeast whom they accuse of arming gangs and committing crimes in the name of Boko Haram.

Shame to Lagos State Government. I erroneously thought that this Fashola is well informed, I never knew that he is worst than others. Do you settle people by kidnapping them in the night and dumping them across and called it settlement? Where is the resettlement center built by the government and who was consulted, not even the governor of South-East. A Yoruba man will remain untruest worthy. Zik won election in the Western parliament and they cross-carpeted. Eni Njoku was the Vice-Chancellor of Unilag and Yoruba were almost dead and pushed him out and put unqualified registrar Biobako as VC-Lagos. Chief Awolowo betrayed Ojukwu and nationalized all Ndi-Igbo positions and properties. Envy will kill the Yorubas, The first person that opened Lagos and built the first in Ikoyi was Sir Odumegwu Ojukwu. If the Ndi-Igbo remove their business in Lagos every where will collapse. Politics › Chidi Lloyd’s Arraignment Stalled [PHOTOS] by chaloner(op): 2:00am On Aug 01, 2013
The arraignment of the Leader of the Rivers State House of The arraignment of the Leader of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Chidi Lloyd, on Wednesday, at a high court sitting in the state was stalled.

The Court adjourned till 6th of August, 2013 to give its ruling on whether the Attorney General of the state, Wogu Boms can take over the case.

This is following the indication of interest in the matter the Attorney General of the state.

Chidi Lloyd was to be arraigned for conspiracy, willful damage, attempted murder amongst others for his role at the fracas that engulfed the Rivers House of Assembly few weeks ago.

The presiding Judge, Justice L.L.Nyordee adjourned the matter after Wogu Boms announced his desire to take over the matter.

Boms had referred to Section 211 Sub-section 1 (B) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended saying that he was empowered by the constitution to take over any criminal case in the state.

However, counsel to the police, Dee Nwigwe (SAN) objected to the submission made by the Attorney General arguing that the power the latter was referring to could only be exercised when there was an arraignment of the accused person.

He said in the instant case, Chidi Lloyd was yet to be arraigned so “there is nothing on ground for the Attorney General to take over”.

Earlier, the two counsels had held the court for a long period with claims, objections and arguments, prompting the Attorney General to step in and declare interest in the matter.

However, speaking to DailyPost on the condition of anonymity, a lawyer argued that the Attorney General was too hasty in his submissions.

He said: “Boms would have allowed the arguments of both counsels to linger because the points being raised were valid”.

Meanwhile, our correspondent observed that Lloyd was taken back to detention where he will likely remain till the adjourned date.

Politics › Tension As Boko Haram Hijacks Explosives in Yobe by chaloner(op): 11:47am On Jul 30, 2013
Suspected Boko Haram members have hijacked high calibre
explosives from a quarry in Yobe State.
Investigations by our correspondents on Monday revealed that
about 25 of the insurgents broke into the quarry located in Bara,
the headquarters of the Gulani Local Government Area of Yobe
State on Sunday night, carting away the high caliber dynamites
neatly arranged in a room.
It was learnt that on their arrival at the quarry, the insurgents
broke into the room where the explosives were kept, broke the
door and took away five of the bags containing the explosives.
Our correspondents learnt that the invading Boko Haram
insurgents, reputed for being brutal in all their operations, did not
kill any of the quarry workers during the late night operation.
The invasion has triggered strong suspicions in security circles that
the seizure of the dynamites from the Bara quarry might have an
insider's collaboration.
It was learnt that one of the explosives in the possession of the
Boko Haram members had the capacity to destroy a community.
Investigations revealed that the leadership of the Joint Task Force
had commenced massive manhunt for the insurgents to prevent them
from distributing the items to carry out devastating attacks in the
three states under emergency rule.
The JTF, it was learnt, was apprehensive that the insurgents could
launch attacks with the explosives during the Ramadan celebrations.
It was further gathered that the leadership of the JTF in Yobe
State had written to all the quarries in possession of such
dangerous explosives to move them to the state capital, Damaturu,
where they could be protected but the companies allegedly
ignored the directive.
A source said the security operatives would not hesitate to hold the
companies accountable for any destruction wreaked by the Boko
Haram with the dynamites.
The source said, "The Boko Haram invaded the quarry around 2am
and carted away five bags of explosives. Each of the bags contains
very high calibre explosives used for blasting rocks. These are the
type of explosives that can bring down a community."
