He won in the "price/performance" category, with a performance figure of about 400 Mflops/$1M. The winner in the "performance" category, Mobil Research and Thinking Machines, used the CM-2 for seismic data processing and achieved the higher ratio of 500 Mflops/$1M. The judges decided on one award per entry.[6][7] His method involved each microprocessor communicating with six neighbours.[3]

Emeagwali's simulation was the first program to apply a pseudo-time approach to reservoir modeling.[8]

However a $1000 prize in computing shows that the work is not particularly significant outside of certain applications. He dares not claim a doctorate there too. And there is zero mention of any patents or patent applications, and to be blunt if bill Clinton had not mentioned him would we have ever cared? There are many Nigerians, honest and hard working, talented, why must we hold on to this fraud who has very little to offer.

his IEEE supercomputing achievement showed how very high his IQ is. but he is not an inventor as he has not received any patent for his works. they are waiting to be patented.

emeagwali's ego was overblown, an award in 1989 in supercomputing does not make one a professor. he made it easy for his detractors to drag him to the mud. however, is still celebrated across the world for his early achievements.

why all these noise about emeagwali? he is not even the most accomplished Igbo scientist in diaspora. patented inventors like Dr Achilefu, Dr Cyprian emeka uzoh, Dr ndubuisi ekekwe, Dr nchekwube, etc have done so much for science and technology, yet remain humble about it.

He is a fraud because he has attempted and succeeded in obtaining benefits by false pretences. His claim to a PhD is fraudulent, his bell prize was relatively minor and was obtained as part of a group, as far as the patent database knows, he has no patent applications awaiting approval. How else do you define fraud, or does tribe matter in that discussion? That he has managed to get away with his chicanery for so long does not make him any less of a fraud.

Many people have major explaining to do and missing funds to explain especially as there was so much direct looting of the treasury under Jonathan. Arms procurement under Jonathan is already being examined. People know that if their petition should reach the President's table, it will be given serious attention. No more sex and ogogoro-fuelled leadership, and Jonathan is out there in the wilderness to contemplate what might have been, if only he had a brain.

Going by Buhari's campaign promises, we expected that he would hit the ground running but alas, the reverse is the case (The only thing we see is a 'slow motion without audio' approach from him)

Buhari is writing his own history and everything that has happened since May 29 will forever be recorded as events that occurred under his watch and his inactions so far (which have cost us a lot) will not easily be forgotten.

If you cannot understand the simple logic of this paragraph, what hope is there for you. A revolution is change of a different magnitude, but with mass ignorance such as yours on display, Nigeria will never experience a true revolution.

Even Tinubu and Atiku are trying to stay on his good side because they still have future ambitions that he can crush or promote. You have no evidence for anything you claim. In Jonathans time even when he was VP and acting president, he was easily corrupted by customs and the oil industry to name a few. And then Queen Diezani came to rule over him. Who will go and offer Buhari bribe? Who get the liver? When he sent the military top brass to Maiduguri who uttered a peep? Abeg, be serious. Buhari is not weak. Quite the contrary for the first time in many years people are actually trying to do their work properly to see if he will retain them (look at EFCC that was dame pipi's toy). Money is coming in and international bodies are offering assistance because they know the fool has been sacked and a serious president is in office. Tinubu is his own problem, telling lies to the president that Saraki gave the chairman 2m$ without any evidence, and calling the president all the time to support his schemes. He has failed to encircle the president with his men, and the party has refused to do his bidding. He is playing in the national league now not the local lagos league. There are other interests and power blocks in the party and the sooner he starts dealing with that reality the better.

Okonjo and Jonathan must return the money they looted

What we are hearing is that there is plenty evidence of direct transfers of government funds from official accounts to Diezani and others. Apparently she has engineered the return of some looted funds already. Jonathan has been disturbing her to bring his money, but as ex-president he no get authority with her anymore. In many cases, even Jonathan was involved in contract awards where the money was simply fully paid and shared, and then rewarded. Very sad to imagine the rot in the previous government.

first you have no graps of the reality of things as with Diezani and GEJ and secondly everything you accuse GEJ of doing wrong, have any of them turned out better in this present administration? sometimes most people forget that what we have is democracy and things are not all centered to one person ad that there is arms of government and dispensations of powers and that mostly everything is bound to rule of law and one man can not force anything on everybody without the constitutional power to do so... was it not the governors under Amaechi that forced the president to share the excess crude oil fund? yes they did it cause they found a loophole in the constitution that allows them to do it... democracy is not a one man soldier and if it is so Buhari would have waved into things autocratically, but he knows that there is a rule of law and protocols to be followed... finally GEJ is the reason why you are here writting now and not in refugee in chad or niger or wherever, had he not conceded defeat which most Nigerians having the power of incubency would not do, it would have been chaos and bloodbath.

The fund was shared because the federal government started stealing from the state's share and the governors took the case to court. As usual Jonathan begged them to settle out of court. That is a fact. Pmb is not the kind of President to sleep with his ministers, whether they are married or single. Pmb is not a thief. Pmb has demonstrably more character and intelligence than Jonathan. Whether Jonathan conceded or not Jega would have still declared Buhari /APC winner of the election. Who would have fought on Jonathans behalf? The same Ijaw militant thieves that are looking to preserve their loot by making peaceful overtures now? Dream on. The years of the locust are over.
