You tell a lie about Philips Emeagwali ever inventing anything. Please if you have proof, post it here, any patent application, post it here. There are more credible Igbo's to celebrate but you make a fool of yourself by buying into the fraud that is Emeagwali.

But it's the so called authorities that are coming to complain and cry in the media instead of taking them to court or submitting evidences in their possession to the appropriate agency. It shows these accusations are just from permutations and combinations.
You are mistaken. What is the point of the media if they do not go after some sensational stories? What would make you buy one newspaper over the other? It is in their commercial interest to find stories that will sell so they are always on the lookout for what the public considers juicy salacious scandalous etc. The authorities are duty bound to also provide lawful information to the press, and it also serves their interest to show what they do well. All said, the courts will perform their role and the principle there is that justice must be seen to be done, so trials are public matters and journalists will observe and comment. Everyone has their role to play, and it is essential that criminals and people with unexplained wealth are not glorified in the media or by society.

Okonjo Lack benefited principle (sorry to say),she only good in giving out figures which Nigerian can't look after.

Jst imagine da subsidy saga, she said "The money wil b used for infrastructure project,FG wil create job nd other gnarly things to nation"

At d end,her Boss failed Nigeria woefully...
That is why I am more interested in solid and responsible institutions and not individuals. And that is why I support the president in his move to make our institutions more accountable.

Tinubu is a man who bliv technocrat,nd his ministerial nominees wil hav a lot of influence positively in d present government.
Nigeria needs more responsible institutions and processes. Men will come and go, but ideology and principles will outlive them. Okonjo-Iweala was touted as a technocrat, and we have seen the result.

That billions of dollars was stolen under the administration of Jonathan is not questionable. That we lost billions of dollars to corruption under Obasanjo administration is very correct. We hope we are past that now and we can finally move forward.

We believe this administration wants the best for Nigeria and are ready to do all it takes to make Nigerians proud of their country. All we ask is that we are carried along and not left to speculations and fortune tellers.

Finally if there are cases of corruption against anybody, they should be handled by the appropriate agencies and not the media.
The media plays an important role in informing the public and bringing pressure to bear on the authorities not to sweep cases of official corruption under the carpet. The citizens also have a role to play in resisting, and exposing these acts of corruption and publicising them so that the authorities are compelled to act.

You are talking rubbish. The law does not pass judgement based on popular opinion but based on fact presented to him. Popular opinion can be modified and influenced by any 3rd party. In fact, the perception of an individual could be factual or flawed. It is only through facts that it can be considered factual. Absence of facts means a flawed perception.
Once again you betray your lack of logic. A person's reputation is a public thing and must be considered by the court. In the case of Diezani, rest assured she has been remarkably generous with her "assets" and very frivolous with the nations resources. You get a grasp of the law before spouting your ill informed opinions. The facts about Diezani are public enough for adultery and financial chicanery to be uncontestable. The public perception is itself a fact to be considered and her reputation among her peers.... Lol, she is no longer minister, so the bondage is over.

barcanista:
So these clowns called OsunDefenders don't even have "facts" but will depend on "opinion" of people to arrive at their own "facts"? These people are pathetic that they even citted PWC report that hasn't indicted anyone? Where in the PWC was any shady deal link to Alison Maduekwe? Was the 400,000 barrel oil theft liked to Madwekwe? We can make allegations based on "facts" and not one based on peoples opinion. I think OsunDefenders don't understand our laws.
On the contrary, you are the one displaying ignorance of the law with regard to "defamation". If the average Nigerian thinks the former minister is a thief, adultress, and borderline sex addict, she cannot have much of a reputation to protect. Perhaps dame patience will give testimony on how she fought physically to separate this LovePeddler from her husband to no avail. Froth all you want, but she will regret this lawsuit very soon.

North Korea is one of the few nations on this earth that even Nigerians run from. A place where starvation can easily overtake you, no jobs, no basic freedoms, nothing to offer anyone. They even jail you for trying to flee the country! Abeg, anyone that believes this thrash needs their heads examined.

ITS JUST THAT YOUR ATTEMPT AT DEFINING TERRORISM WAS ANOTHER LAME EFFORT AT SHOVING TERRORISM INTO THE SHELVES OF POLITICS. ITS AS IF YOU SEEM TO BE ASKING ME TO USE A MIRROR TO LOOK AT WHAT I AM HOLDING IN MY PALM.

I AM A NIGERIAN LIVING IN NIGERIA WHERE THERE IS NO SINGLE DAY PASSING BY WITHOUT A TERROR ATTACK

WHAT DICTIONARY DO I NEED TO EXPLAIN TO ME SOMETHING I AM SEEING WITH MY OWN VERY EYE?

LET US CALL A SPADE A SPADE SO THAT WE MIGHT BE ABLE TO FIND A PERMANENT SOLUTION TO THIS VICIOUS TERROR THAT IS ABOUT TO TEAR INTO THE FABRICS OF OUR LIVES. BUT IN AS MUCH AS SOME PEOPLE CONTINUES TO DEFEND TERROR DUE TO WHATEVER BELIEF THEY ARE HOLDING THEN WE MIGHT NEVER BE ABLE TO COLLECTIVELY END TERRORISM IN NIGERIA.

THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS US ALL.
I'm not sure what you're on about. There is an accepted definition of terrorism, whether you like it or agree with it. On that basis how do you distinguish the armed groups battle the state in different areas? Logic, not sentiment please. When thousands flee the country because elections are being held, do you not think we have a big problem? Or is that only certain kinds of threat that appeal to your prejudices, qualify as terrorism? Basically you feel ok in rejecting the dictionary definition of terrorism?

ABDUL MUTTALAB HAD THE BEST ANY KID IN THE WORLD COULD DREAM OF. YET HE WENT ON TO STRAP UP A BOMB UNDER HIS SCROTUM. THAT IS PURE TERRORISM AND IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH LACK.

AS TO BOTH THE TWIN FRENCH REVOLUTIONS AND THE RUSSIAN BOLSHELVIKS REVOLUTION OF 1917 IS ONLY WHAT THEY ARE....POLITICAL REVOLUTIONS. AND I AM ACTUALLY WONDERING HOW YOU MAKE UNANALOGOUS COMPARISONS WITHOUT EVEN THINKING OF HOW ABSURD IT IS.

TERRORISM IS OUR SUBJECT OF DISCUSS BRO
Perhaps you do not understand the meaning of the word terrorism yourself.

terrorism

noun
the unofficial or unauthorized use of violence and intimidation in the pursuit of political aims.
"the fight against terrorism"

noun
1.
the use of violence and threats to intimidate or coerce, especially for political purposes.
2.
the state of fear and submission produced by terrorism or terrorization.

Amazing how people can have a discussion about a word they don't even understand!

Such a travesty....comparing terrorism with kidnapping, militancy, pipeline vandalisation just so you can include the south in your vices allocation. What a moronic way of reasoning!....for goodness sake how can any sane person compare a kidnapper or pipeline vandal with a terrorist who tru suicide bomb kills several market women? You are a goat for sure... undecided
The only slowpoke you ever see is in your mirror. Why do you think the USA think-tank saw the possibility of Nigeria breaking up? Because the citizens have it so good? Because people think just and good governance prevails? Because they see evidence of good administration? Grow up and use your thinking faculties for once. When people are desperately poor they become open to all manner of piedmont pipers. Now that Asari is a billionaire, are his followers equally happy? Has their situation improved so much that people instead of flocking to lagos have now started flooding the delta? Why does the message of radio biafra resonate for some? If you have little use for your brain then stfu!
