True he engaged me, I visited his site, we video called and exchanged Ideas with him, the engagement was to produce interior and exterior designs for his building.

I first designed the kitchen and sent him the 3d, which I did with the office computer, but along the line, right after I paid rent, I lost my full time job, I was struggling to complete the drawings, feeling depressed, detached and over my head, there was delays because of the complexity of the job, I promised him high quality designs, my computer couldn't meet up.

I however pleaded with him to give me time, hoping I could find a way, he was not having it, after the deadline have been reached. When it's clear to I can't continue after the threats he dished out, I have to send him all the complete Interiors 3d renders I have done, which was of all low quality, I felt bad, just to show him I was struggling with it and did put it in work.

I also told him to give me time, I will refund him in parts, told him that I want to sell that pc and make up money and buy another pc, I also offered to be indebted to him and work for him in any future build till the debt is repaid. At a time I offered to drop the PC as a collateral, but if I do that how do I make up the money for the dept I am owing him.

I apologize to Rawgold300, and to anybody that feel disappointed in me, all am asking for is patience for the payback, there was no intention for scam from the beginning, If so I would not video call him, visited the site, up till now, we still chat on WhatsApp. There was no intention of scam and will never be.

Not holding brief for brickdevo but Just want to shade light on the issue of Architects PC

To be very honest, architects Pc’s don’t come cheap, he will definitely struggle to produce the same result with normal laptop, I have seen his renders and they can only be produced on workstations/Alienwares not ordinary laptop.

Permit me to share my personal experience,
Some years ago, a prominent real estate company contacted me from nairaland to produce an estate design and animation for them, after designing and rendering the buildings and layout, the time for animation came and it was hell, almost got my system crashed because of the heaviness of the scene/file, I had to subcontract it to a friend to do the animation for me, just to save face.
Long story cut short, the real estate company is a returning client and we are working on something again.

I said all of the above to say this, when you noticed you couldn’t continue, you should have reached out to friends, colleagues or even contract it out to people with better system spec.

9 by 11 is not considered a standard room, the least dimension you should have on a wing of a room is 10ft, the reasons are not far fetched consider the furniture, bedsize and Mobility /circulation in the room

The implication is that most beams and lintels won’t be upto 300mm, unless one is using marine board.

Build your slab on fill like it is a suspended slab.

I think a better way to render the bolded is

“Build your slab on fill so it doesn’t act like a suspended slab. “

When suspended slabs are designed, one of the main thing we design and check for is Deflection.

Owing that your ground slab is sitting on a well compacted fill material plus hardcor, we are not supposed to experience any form of deflection.

Hence it shouldn’t act as a suspended slab, and as such should not be reinforced as one.

Yes you are right.

BRC (wire mesh) = oversite concrete
Reinforcement (high or mild yield) = ground floor slab (raft slab)

I have seen instances where people reinforce their raft slab as tho it’s a suspended slab.

Raft slab reinforcement principle is different from that of suspended slab.

If it’s a normal oversite concrete (German floor) that’s the best practice
If it’s for reinforced ground floor slab (raft slab) then it is totally wrong and a bad practice.

How about for bungalow lintel? Usually some do leveling after 1day of casting.

To some extent, lintel is not a structural member, once properly propped, you can load it. The only failure that can occur in lintel is serviceability failure (which has to do with aesthetics).

The number of reinforcement to use in each panel (room if you like)
The steel size
The reinforcement spacing.
The reinforcement placement position.

Just like doctors prescriptions, building professionals have been trained to understand it at a glance, as such should be left for them.
