CrimeRe: Maryam Sanda Shouting "Mummy, Mummy" After Death Sentence (Video) by Charles545: 2:23am On Jan 29, 2020
12Monkeys:
The crime was committed in Abuja and tried in a federal high court.

All convicted capital offenders get an automatic appeal which can be continued up to the Supreme court.

If all appeals are exhausted, the execution can only be carried out by an executive order by a duly elected governor which the FCT does not have. The minister of FCT is not constitutionality empowered to grant pardons or a prerogative of mercy. So if the minister can not grant pardons, he can not sign warrants either.
Who then will sign her death warrant as constitutionally mandated for executions?

This is the reason federal judges hardly pass death sentences. The case of Kabirui Sokoto who was responsible for over 200 deaths in the Abuja Nyanya bombings and Okah's Independence day lethal bombings saw only life sentences as both crimes were committed in Abuja and tried at an Abuja high court.

Only Governors can sign a warrant. Even the president doesn't have that responsibility although he can grant pardons or commutations to a life sentence.

The point I am making is that, the useless woman judge who passed this sentence is not aware of the intricacies surrounding death sentences within federal jurisprudence .

She is obviously from the same school as Tanko.

If in doubt, why did the FG hand Maj Mustapha and Gen Bamiyi to Lagos state for prosecution?

Even in the US, the FBI may decide to try someone in a state court rather than federal when looking for a death sentence. The only crimes that can lead to a death conviction in a US federal court is espionage and treason. Same rules apply in Nigeria.

The Bible mentioned wine as in wine! and not alcohol

All those talking about palm tree... How does drinking the wine freshly tapped from the tree alcoholic; what makes it alcoholic is when it has fermented

To me, the mixture and fermentation process of the whole thing wasn't what the Bible talked about ...but just wine in the real sense of wine

Nairalanders, please I need explanation.

I've never owned a company/business name and I want to own one this time. Whether this is a wrong way of thinking, I'm yet to find out, because right now, I know nothing.

I'm currently working on a website that can conduct online examination and provide tertiary admissions alternative for aspiring students both within and outside Nigeria.

Now, it's got to a stage where I'm considering getting a patent for the name.

I've visited the Nigeria Corporate Affairs Commission website. I downloaded the form and discovered a registered headquarters and other offices address is required.

Now my confusion is, since the platform would be completely on the internet, just like other business organizations like OKADABOOKS and some others that charge money for their services, yet without a physical office so to say, how can I go about this registration, because for now, I'm not thinking about renting a place for an office?

My thought, however, is that I don't need CAC registration. If this is not true, please I need explanation and proper guidance.

Please useful information is needed. Thanks.
Hello,
It's really nice you have such idea... I can make you understand the registration process and eventually register your company.

Nairaland GeneralRe: 20 Things You Must Do Before You Are 30 by Charles545: 6:36pm On Jan 11, 2020
justicejay:
1. Discover Yourself: It is discovery that enlist
you for life. A man can be born and be useless. A
man of discovery is a man that has found a way
to affect the world positively. You can be wealthy
without being great. For example, A man like Wole
Soyinka, if possibly he doesn't have a car, or
house of his own, would you still consider him as
a great man? Yes, because he has found a way he
can never be ignored. Wole Soyinka has an open
cheque to great words in the dictionary. A man of
discovery, is a man of fullest; a man living life to
the fullest. Learn how to use what you have to
solve problems.

2. Learn To Use Your Gifting To Solve Problems
Definitely: how does your gifting works? It's a step
by step; by positioning yourself for rewards. Using
your gift to solve problems. Continue to improve
on the problem solving ability of what you have.

3. Cut Some Ideas On How To Make Money: You
make money from other people's ignorance; you
can't pay me to teach you what you already know
or have. Law of potential difference; I give you
what you don't have and I receive my reward.

4. Know The Definition of Love: The real love
here is a type of love that seeks fulfillment
without violation or something else(eros love).
You can't love someone you see for the first time.
Love is different from like. Momentarily, like is
mostly when you are attracted with what you see
physically. Love is responsibility; it's much more
about giving. Love does not exploit.

5. You Must Have Read Atleast 30 Books: You
should own a minimum of 30 books of your own.
At 30 should have a library.

6. Have A Spiritual Leader(Pastor) that guides
you spiritually, who teaches you wisdom and
understanding. You don't choose a Pastor, you
discover.

7. Be Known For A Specific: Great men are known
for a particular thing.

8. Have A Mentor: Someone who speaks into
your life, to mould it. Don't be emotional
choosing your mentor. Be discipline, because your
mentor has great influence in building your life.
When you stand on the shoulder of people who
have gone ahead you see farther.

9. Learn How To Say No: One of the highest sign
of maturity is learning to say no without feeling
guilty.

10. Must Have Conquer Procrastination:
Procrastination is lazy man's apology.

11. Use Your Mind Well: Live for who you want to
be. Life is measured by the capacity of your
mentality.

12. Have A Bank Account

13. Have An Investment: Atleast buy shares if
you don't have any(that is the cheapest). Buy in a
company that produce daily; bank, oil, beverage
and so forth.

14. Must Have Developed Stability of Character:
be taken for your words.

15. Should Be Able To Choose Your Friends;
decide who you want to keep around you.

16.Learn Professional Dining Etiquette; it's key.
Some of the big things of life are hidden in little
details.

17. Define Your Vision In One Sentence

18. Learn How To Drive A Car

19. Have The Financial Ability To Feed Somebody
Else.

20. Be Born Again; Know how to love God
Thank you. I heard this in an audio format... Where can I download it /who spoke those words

davodyguy:
SIMPLY SIMPLIFIED!
There's so much ambiguity in what the OP lifted and dumped here.

I'll simply as follows.

1. VAT is to be paid by the beneficiary of a service to the service provider. Good example. DSTV or Startimes subscription may actually be ₦1900. But they need to collect VAT on behalf of FIRS. Hence your subscription would then be ₦1900+(5% of ₦1900)= ₦1995 per month. But in most cases the companies round up the figure to ₦2000.

2. After DSTV collects the VAT from you the subscriber, they're not to include that ₦95 as part of their income, rather they must remit to FIRS(Federal Inland Revenue Services)

3. I'll use myself as an example. I'm a consultant in Real Estate and Legal Professions. Hence, when I charge for a service or court case, I must collect VAT from my client. Here's it. If I'm to charge ₦5,000,000 for a case/service, I'll simply ask the client to pay ₦5,000,000+(5% of ₦5,000,000)= ₦5,250,000.

At the end of the month, I must remit the extra ₦250,000 to FIRS.

4. All companies registered either Business Name, PLC or LTD, they must collect VAT from their clients or consumers of their services and remit same to FIRS.

5. The day you register your company, same day CAC send your details to FIRS and FIRS generates what's called TIN(Tax Identification Number). That number is like and accout. Hence, when you pay or you don't pay, FIRS will just go to your account to see your balance.

6. Can you lie to FIRS that you didn't make money? Yes you can, but you'll be caught. Cos FIRS will go to your bank to show them your Statement of Account, with that you can be sanctioned or jail for either tax avoidance or tax evasion

It's part of their northernisation and Islamisation agenda. They're forcing into the psyche of feeble minded Nigerians that Abuja is abokki-land and Muslim territory.

The National Mosque is not the most iconic building in Abuja, but somehow it gets more props than it deserves.
Finally, someone understands my view and lend his voice - thank you.
Places like the City Gate picture is best and most iconic. Nigerians just need to stop portraying the National Mosque as Abuja

BusinessRe: Clearing Container Of Diapers by Charles545: 5:46pm On Sep 29, 2017
adisarasaq:
First, your goods value will determine how much it is to be paid as import duty (CIF ✖ whatever percentage that your goods attracted)

Also general goods like yours required Form 'M' and PAAR (PRE-ARRIVAL ASSESSMENT REPORT) to be open, and that will be done through your Bank.

Documents that you need to forward to your bank are....Final Invoice, B/L and maybe Packing List.

Agent can handle this for you if you don't know how but that's another contract.

Import duty is calculated by adding Cost of the goods, Freight Charges and Insurance (CIF) together.

Shipping and Terminal charges will cost you from 350k to 400k for 20ft container while 40ft will be double. Agent fee for clearing differ.

Last but very important, diapers is regulated by NAFDAC so therefore you must have obtained all necessary permit before any attempt.
pHello Sir , please I'm interested in diapers importation of 20/40ft container. but I need to know what documents I need to get started and the cost of NAFDAC, CUSTOM,SHIPPING AND CLEARING . I anticipate your reply; many thanks

Osinbajo has said Magu will remain acting chairman as long as he remains acting president.

Now say thank you sir.
