But do feel free to post this email on your blog because a lot of ignorant people that read your blog need an educated response. "For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction"...She even called readers of LIB 'IGNORANT PEOPLE' Who cares about her uneducated response in the first place? Isn't everyone entitled to their own opinions again? |
... They said they are waiting for the day the suspect will come and do any transaction on his account even if it's 2050. On which of the account are they waiting for him to do a comeback? The scammer's FBN account or again on your UBA Account...!!! |
“Fighting insurgency requires the Commander in Chief to lead from the front by providing leadership.” Prof. Osinbajo's campaign speech before election |
Was one of the early individuals who registered for BVN way back but as at yesterday 1st Nov. I couldn’t carry out any online or ATM transaction. Got to FBN this morning and was told my account has been frozen cos of BVN. I presented my BVN immediately after dialing the code *565*0# and with some form of disappointment on his face, the Customer Care dude in the bank politely apologized cos he had initially accused me of negligence and failing to beat the deadline. I had to fill out another form for the error to be rectified which he also admitted of not being sure of the duration before the rectification would be implemented. I am financially handicap right now for no fault of mine cos I pay all necessary bills (Internet, PHCN, MTN Top-Up etc) including my daily meal online at the beginning of every month. This is an absolute sign of the end time...!!! If CBN or the Banks wants to implement a computerized Verification scheme shouldn’t it be done in a computerized manner without me losing man-hour just to physically present my BVN again for authentication? |
Obviously they may have deducted the fine from the unreasonable, incessant hidden charges they always deduct from depositors account. First Bank of Nig Plc (unlike other banks where I also have Accounts) is reputed for making illegal deductions from my Cooperate Account every now and then even when I'd not done any transaction. Worst still, they would say N200 debited from your account but many times when I cross checked with my previous balance sent as alert by same First Bank, I realized they'd deducted N1000 and not N200 as claimed. Imagine if they deduct N100 each from 1m Depositor’s Accounts Nationwide every month…!!! |
New Delhi-President Muhammadu Buhari has said that his main target for fighting corruption was to stop corrupt individuals from seeking to occupy public offices for selfish gains. This is even as he stated that his government would not relent in the current anti-corruption war, stressing it would continue to many years. According to him, the prosecution of alleged criminals would serve as a deterrent to others, stating that he was committed to curbing corruption, plugging all loopholes in public sector accounting and deploying available resources for the good of all Nigerians. The president spoke, Wednesday, during a meeting with members of the Nigerian community in New Delhi, India where he is attending the 3rd Summit of the India and African Nations. President Buhari also prioritized the recovery of looted funds, saying he was conscious of the devastating consequences of the illegal diversion of public resources meant for national development into private bank accounts. He said: “The anti-corruption campaign will be on-going for many years. We are committed to the enthronement of good governance that plugs the loopholes in public sector accounting, and the use of scarce resources for public good. “We are determined to demonstrate exemplary leadership that will make our citizens to change their ways in a manner that lays a solid foundation for reconstruction and development. “I am confident that our approach to fighting corruption through value re-orientation, improved internal processes and systems and the rule of law, as well as enhancing the capacity of the various anti-corruption agencies and institutions will prove more enduring in addressing this evil. “In the meantime, we will continue to prosecute those who have been indicted for corrupt practices and ensure that stolen funds are recovered, to serve as deterrence to others who nurse the ambition of seeking public office solely for illegal personal gain”. The President told the Nigerian community he was fully aware of the expectations of Nigerians who elected him on the platform of change, integrity, probity and accountability, and was therefore doing his utmost best to meet those expectations. He also vowed to stabilize the economy to enable many teeming youth to get jobs. The president hinted he was that he was taking proactive measure to end insurgency in the country. “I wish to assure you that we shall do our best to fix the economy, create jobs for the teeming population of our youths and make the home environment safe, secure and more attractive to Nigerians outside the country like your good selves. “On the economy, our aim is to address the challenge of infrastructure in all its ramifications, especially power and transportation. We are seeking to create jobs through agriculture, mining, industrial value-addition and the promotion of small scale enterprises. “We are also taking steps to address criminality across the country. We are tackling the menace of terrorism posed by Boko Haram head on and I am pleased to note that though sporadic attacks on soft targets have not stopped, the over-all capacity of Boko Haram to hold territory and determine the course of the conflict has been severely degraded. “If the current positive trends are maintained, we are confident that by the end of this year, we would have succeeded in permanently turning the tide against the Boko Haram insurgents in Nigeria,” President Buhari said. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/10/never-again-would-politicians-seek-public-office-for-personal-gains-buhari/ |

After the PDP Caucus meeting yesterday, 20th Oct 2015 on the Ministerial screening of Amaechi, we were reliably informed that they rose from the meeting vowing to continue to oppose the nomination of Amaechi by sticking with the report of the Senate Ethic, Privileges and Public Petition Committee that insist that since Amaechi himself claimed that issues of the Petition against him is a subject of a Court and it will be sub judicial for the Senate to entertain it, the Committe has recommended that the Senate should also stand down or refrain from going ahead with the Ministerial Screening of Amaechi cos it will also amount to Sub judicial for the Senate to screen Amaechi until the Case in Court is determined. The PDP Caucus therefore insisted that the Committee's Report should be tendered at Plenery on Thurdays and adopted. Nothing more nothing less. More details shortly |

KanwuliaJara:Nonsense. Pray someone else does same to you or any member of your family...!!! |
No Electricity, No Fuel, small businesses are shutting down daily in Rivers State...!!! The Governor of Rivers State should wade into the matter asap or we will be forced to take matters into our hands someday. Nigerian Youths should wake up. Give the Patrol Tankers or NUPENG 3 days ultimatum to call off their strike in the state or leave Rivers State immediately. FAILURE OF WHICH ALL TANKERS IN RIVERS WILL BE BURNT. If they don’t want to serve the populace then we should stay without them. What nonsense...!!!! I'll have to drive all the way to Oyigbo bad road and heavy traffic just to buy 20ltrs |
All hope not lost, he should quickly look for Helen's aunt and marry her as well... |
MadCow1:Unfortunately, I don't take alcohol but the Bush meat pepper soup part? hmmmm...!!! ![]() |
vanndubi:After the 2011 General Election GEJ reconstituted his FEC and appointed Wike as Minister, why is that too difficult for your brain to figure out. The Newspaper report was only a flashback on Amaechi's role then |
Ambassadorial Nominees would also need to go thru Senate Screening... eme1n: |
...
|
Wike resigned as a Minister to take Amaechi's former position as Gov. of RS Now Former Gov. Amaechi is fighting hard to take Wike's former position as Minister. What tale of two friends switching positions while other Rivers men and women standby and watch like a movie on a Big Screen...!!! Are they the only Politicians in Rivers State?
|
Then fast forward 4 years later...!!! He is now begging to be Minister...!!!
|
Can't imagine how the man had such beautiful collection of clothes yet chooses to go on pants...!! |
Goke7: No, its not difficult to understand but when the only person the President insist on picking is a wanted crook, then he will be the one that will find it difficult to understand...!!! |
ddippset:The same reason why the Nigerian Senate can not just screen Amaechi without exercising some form of caution will be the same reason that will prevent PMB from invoking his veto power after 21 working days to swear in Amaechi. If the Senate does not conclude its statutory function of giving Amaechi a clean bill of health, Amaechi is going nowhere. This is not a Military era. You can read my lips…!!! |
kITATITA:You are right on the first line but wrong on the bolden part. The Federal High Court has the right to. If an Injunction... |
I don't think Adamu Chiroma that I know would condescend so low in making such undignified statement against the good people of Rivers State but if he did, then I wish to inquire from him if Amaechi is the only indigene of Rivers State that is capable of being a Minister of the FRN under PMB. |
Adamu Chiroma wrote: All these people opposing Ameachi's ministerial nomination are ignorant of the following facts: 1. Even if Ameachi does not become minister he will still remain with Buhari and enjoy his life. Many people enjoyed Jonathan's government without being ministers. Virtually, they were more powerful than some of the governors. Dokubo, Edwin Clark and Tampolo are example. 2. The chances of Rivers state people to benefit from Ameachi's ministerial post have been wasted. 3. By the constitution nobody can appoint ministers for the president of Nigeria. It's his prerogative to appoint his ministers. Therefore, petition and opposing a person from a state to be a minister means that state does not like the slot. However, the state will either stay without a minister or another state can provide the minister instead. 4. Nigeria can survive without a minister from Rivers state. At the same time Wike or PDP cannot appoint a minister for Buhari. But if the PDP and people of Rivers state wished to deny their state from having a representative in the executive council simply because they are angry with Ameachi for his support of Buhari against Jonathan then other states can have the slot. 5. Fayose realises that that is why swallowed all his opposition and asked his people to support Kayode Fayemi. Please you people should let Ameachi be. He contributed well for the emergence of PMB and there is noting wrong in making him a minister. https://www.facebook.com/mansur.umar.925/posts/10207586897180862?fref=nf |
IbokUtoroh: Yes you have to be corrected and i will try my best even though i'm not a Legal Practitioner. If you are writing a Petition you don't need to mention the Court of Law. Infact you don't need the Court. If you are placing an Injunction Ordering a body to stop or restraining them from carrying out an action then you must go thru the Court of Law and that Court must have jurisdiction over that body. Moreso, an Injunction can only originate thru a Suit which has to be filed and parties involved served. |
IbokUtoroh:We are looking at the Institution that the Court Order is intending to restrict here; the NASS as a National or Federal Institution and not of the State Organ. If a Rivers indigene is Suing a Federal Organ would it be proper to sue through a State High Court or a Federal High Court? |
IbokUtoroh:Can you make your point without being insultive? I understand your point but in this case, the petitioner is not a representative or acting openingly on behalf of the RSG... |
Why a Rivers State High Court and not a Federal High Court which has jurisdiction over the NASS? Don't get me wrong, I was one of the Petitioners that wrote against Amaechi's Nomination but technically speaking, if i must approach the Court of Law to grant an Interlocutory Injunction against the NASS from insisting on going ahead with the screening in spite of my petition, then I should be advised to approach a FHC in Port Harcourt or Abuja. An interlocutory injunction is a court order to compel or prevent a party from doing certain acts pending the final determination of the case. It is an order made at an interim stage during the trial, and is usually issued to maintain the status quo until judgment can be made. The Petitioner can institute a case in the Rivers State High Court and then the FHC can grant an order against the NASS to maintain the status quo until judgment can be made in the State High Court |
